Glad you enjoyed it! 🥰♥️
OMG hi!! totally not fangirling over here 😍
thank you so much for watching!!! we're big fans!
@@ThePointeShop omg I love you both!!!❤
Both of y’all inspired me to do acro and ballet (of course not at the same time 😂) love you guys videos!
Love ye both!!
The rybka twins' mom is their dance and acro coach. She's always there whenever they attempt these crazy risky stunts. They're never alone. And, obviously, they're crazy strong and insanely talented.
They was also thought by Abby lee millor
@@skyeconder3848 Really? I don't remember hearing that anywhere. I thought they auditioned for her, were supposed to meet her during dance moms filming, the producers had them wait in a room and nobody told Abby or the girls that the Rybka twins were there until hours later. Unless you're talking about the collabs they did on CZcams with Abby. They werent taught by Abby. If they were, they'd have done much better when they did the terminology collab with Abby. Lots of dance terms are different in Australia than the US. They'd have known the US terminology if Abby taught them.
@@lizzylambardo8103 yeah they used to take class with abby back in the day
@@YenellyT Okay, but there's a difference between taking a couple masterclasses with Abby and being actually taught by her. When you go to a masterclass, you don't then add "taught by so and so" to your dance resume. You might add "attended masterclasses with Abby Lee Miller and won her competition" but those are vastly different. Being taught by someone means that you regularly take class with that person. Maybe you even compete under that person's name (like the dance moms girls competing for abby lee under her studio name). I went back and watched the videos about the Rybka twins' experiences with Abby and on dance moms. They did two master classes and a competition that abby put on and judged, but that's not the same as being taught by Abby. They would've been there representing their own studio that they go to in Perth and representing their mom who coaches them regularly.
That's crazy
"This is a new feeling for Josephine and ballet internet" was hilarious
Josephine: They have very nice port de bras.
Me: Their sports bras are very nice
🤣🤣🤣 ya wanna know sumthin funny, I thought that IS what she said HaHaa
I'm not a dancer so I didn't recognize the term & it sounded exactly like sport bra!🤣
Fr fr 😂😂😂😤
YES!! I thought the exact same thing and then I read the description on the bottom. 😂
😂
I was a gymnast but have never been en pointe. They are incredibly strong and talented. I think it would be really trippy to land on your toes instead of on your feet, however gymnastics train extensively to land all these skills very particularly with a lot of control. So theoretically you can slow down any skill and control the landing to land exactly where you want. Still does not make this any less impressive but definitely makes it safer
Absolutely. Also used to be a competitive gymnast. My coaches always said that the slower you can do a move, the better you can do a move. I remember practicing back walkovers on beam CRAZY slow to perfect my control. I also at home practiced on swing-set bars and tree branches and chain-link fences because rounded, sharp, and/or unstable surfaces make a standard beam seem easy.
Never been en pointe either, but I and most gymnasts I knew practiced moves in weird ways for fun and to showcase control.
That’s very true
I’ve seen gymnasts with injured arms or hands do their tricks one handed just to keep practicing. I also did a competition once with one foot injured and had to slow things down or land with one foot. It still hurt like hell but in the end I was second place so it was worth it
competitive gymnast now. i feel like the control of the landing would be possible, but taking off on point or rolling off point would be incredibly hard
I think the only ones that are questionable are the round off and back handspring. All the others have to be done with a lot of control and I used to go from one to the next without putting my other foot down. I'm pretty sure all gymnasts do that at some point, just not en pointe!

🙏🏻This is an accessibility request: please help people read your hilarious little text jokes by placing them a little higher, so the user interface doesn't block them while paused, or leave them up for a SECOND longer 💜
my adult dyslexia wants to laugh too! 😂
THIS. And also the text needs to be way bigger. Theyre always so tiny, I never manage to read them
Commenting to bump this higher.
I agree!!! Hearing impaired here, and closed captioning covers up those bits, and not just on this channel. Most CZcamsrs do this in their videos and I have to turn off captions to read it, then rewind and put captions back on to keep listening to the rest of the video. If they'd just put that stuff at the top of the screen, in a larger font and a bit longer, it would make watching these videos more enjoyable
read and received! thank you for your feedback - i always keep them small because i don't want them to take away from josephine's beautiful face or what she's saying - but noted!!! thank you so much for letting me know :) - jaz
question - is the font hard to read?
The Rybka Twins are great fun to watch. Another great Australian YTer is Claudia Dean.
React or collab!
I love Claudia, it would be Amazing if Josephine reacted to her Can I Still Dance videos.
@@goawayleavemealone2880 YES!! That would be great :) Josephine, are you listening ?
My favourite with the round off is them trying to get a run up but just sort of toddling on pointe 😂😂
The tutus seem to be the biggest hindrance.
I thought that too.
It made me angry to watch
@@yuzurunishimiya5931
The tutus look like they're bigger than the girls are!!
The girls' posture bothers me, too!!
I don't know, but something about gymnastics on pointe cheapens ballet...
@@mimiduquette8786 they are also ballerinas though?? They have extensive experience in both.
the CZcams algorithm has finally found the intersection of my two recent athletic hyperfixations: gymnastics and pointe. honestly, though, this is amazing
I was a gymnast and a dancer (including ballet and pointe) but I never even thought of combining acro moves on pointe! 😳 These girls are really talented though. Thank you Josephine for another incredible video. 💞
Walk overs of all sorts were my thing in gymnastics growing up, and I felt that mid bend back flinch in my soul!! 💜💜🖤 That sensation that your positioning is off and and you instinctually go "oh God not safe!!" 💜💜💜💜💜
figure skater here: i’m not sure the proportions for pointe are similar to figure skates here but i can confirm doing a cartwheel on ice as opposed to land is trippy af
In Germany we call it "Schere, Stein, Papier", so "scissors, rock, paper" or simply "Schnick Schnack Schnuck" 😂
I've never heard my German husband call it that, only schnick, schnak, schnuk haha
in bavaria we call it fli fla flu omfg
from the part of Aus that I'm from, we actually don't do it the same way as the twins, it's meant to be scissors paper rock
In the UK it's rock, paper, scissors I find it so interesting to see what it's called elsewhere
@@rizziesmomoring In Serbia it is paper, rock, scissors ("papir, kamen, makaze")😁
There ARE so many talented people in the world, Josephine, and you're one of them!
Such talented girls!
In Russia, we say "rock, scissors, paper" XD
In Greece we say rock, pencil (!!!!), scissors, paper
In Sweden too
In Hungary it is rock paper scissor…
In Finland it’s rock, paper, scissors OR rock, scissors, paper
@@Charoula1608 is it to much to ask who paper beats and what beats it
YESSSS! So glad you found this one, these two are incredible. I'd love to see our state ballet company (West Australian Ballet) to invite them as guest artists
omg i love this SO much! as an old lady in her late 40s who did this back in the late 1980s on my own, not video taped, it is so wonderful to see those kids grace balance and power!
Love the waltz of the flowers music 3:25
As an Australian it's always scissors paper rock! I've never heard an aussie say paper scissors rock until this video hahaha
Another Aussie here, and same.
It varies per state I believe! I'm in VIC and say paper scissors rock, my friend from QLD says scissors paper rock
im aussie and we say rock paper scissors
@@KF12girlhero huh, im victorian too and ive only ever heard it as rock paper scissors
I'm from Vic. I know rock, paper, scissors and hammer, scissors, paper
Yeah they didnt practice them, they are just insanely talented. I suggest you watch more of their stuff
You may not have been anxious but as a former gymnast, I was freaked! I knew what a back handspring was going to be. I do have to agree they were gorgeous moves with the pointe shoes. Dang the upper body control those girls have!!!
Would have loved to see them do an aerial, it’s one of my favourite acro moves it looks so graceful already.
Noooooo their ankles would be broken
Used to be a gymnast, so this was a special treat for me! I still love gymnastics and help my 2 daughters who are both level 1 with practice at home.
I came out as a transgender man and transitioned years ago, but I can still rock a balance beam.
I love the Rybka twins. They are very skilled at what they do. I aspire to be that strong in general. I want their abs too. 😂
Those cartwheels are similar to when we do them in skates, the ground seems soooooooo much further away!
'Sorry Vincent' made me laugh out loud..😆🤣😄
I just discovered this channel and have been binging your videos!! Josephine, you're hilarious and so fun to watch! Feels like having another ballet friend :)
oh my gosh I learned the other day that my friend Jenny was once fit by Josephine!! I've loved your channel for a long time and was astounded to hear that. small world!!
I struggle to stand up from a sitting position at times...these women were seriously impressive 😊
That is the most graceful gymnastics ever. They're so talented.
I’m glad Josephine gets to have a nice and not stressful day.
This is so cool!! I love it!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Can you do a vid where you go back to your super old vids and critique past you's fitting and if there's anything you'd try instead since they've come out with so many new and various shoes?
This would be so interesting!!
yess !! great video thanks for reacting to it !! 🩰🤍
They nailed it because they are very good at gymnastics, dancing and acro
In japan, the order is Rock, Scissors, Paper (グウ•チョキ•パー). But the words we use for it doesn't actually mean rock paper or scissors. It's the sounds we give them, like sound effects? Japan loves their sound words lol.
oh yeah I just remembered lol It's called Janken (じゃん拳). You say Janken Pon!
I grew up in Hawaii and we said "jon kana po." I think it's derived from another language, but none of us knew what it meant literally.
And if you tied and went again you said "ai kana sho." If you kept tying you just went back and forth between those two phrases.
@@austinluther5825 Maybe it's derived from Japanese. In japan rock paper scissors is called Janken, you say Janken Pon. If you tie, it's Aiko De Sho. Very similar.
I’m studying Japanese from australia (through high school) and I remember playing that in year 7 😂
Wow both of my fav channels in yhis vid ❤ thanl u the point shop to watch Rybka twins!
HAHA that is 100% some Aussie confidence!!
This is insane, and your reactions were great! Loved the video!
Yesss I've been waiting for this video
I’m convinced everything looks so pretty when it’s done on pointe
GET THIS GURLLL TO 1M ❤❤❤❤
In Mexico we say “rock paper or scissor” (piedra papel o tijera) HAHAHA
YES! please come to australia! I would love to be fitted :)
I have two older sisters and they were my bestest friends growing up. They would always play with me when I had no one else. I have so many cherished memories of the fun we had. Even now, my sisters are always there for me.
I remember waching this video and I loved it 😂 😂
THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
This is making gymnastic EVEN MROE GRACIOUS !
Wow!!! They are soooo good!!!
This is interesting! I was a competitive gymnast before I started ballet but have never attempted much acro en pointe, was too scared of sliding!
Editor-san, editor-chan, adding that fanfare to the end was an amazing trick, made the whole thing even more majestic. :D
ha jay I have been waiting for this one :)
They were on Australia’s Got Talent and are very talented in acro and dance! They’re also incredibly flexible! They’re mom taught them a lot! They also have some prank videos with another set of twins who I think were from the US! The did a lot of drive thru switcheroo pranks! And then the other 2 would be in a vehicle right behind and both vehicles would order the same things! Watching the driver and passenger switch quickly was entertaining in itself but the workers reactions were funny too!
In the UK we say
‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’
Looking through the comments I can see how many different ways people say it
These girls are amazing 😍
I would love to see a collab with Claudia Dean if you ever find yourself down under!
yess! That’s a genius idea!!
Wow this is amazing. I suggested to the Rybka twins to attempt gymnastics on pointe.
Coolest combo ever!
I love watching her reactions 🤣
South Australia we go "Rock, paper, Scissors"
My partner is Korean and I was mindblown when we first played while out hiking at Cataract Gorge. It was so hard to play because the order threw me out so bad.
In Sydney I've always said scissors, paper, rock.
I’m from Tassie; we were always Rock Paper Scissors!
Victoria calls it rock, paper, scissors!
Victoria always says Rock Paper Scissors
@@fikanera838 That's so... Wrong to me- It sounds cursed. Thank you for sharing!
React to Nile Wilson's ballet video
They are extremely talented people
This reminds me of the old circus tricks done en pointe, like tap dancing en pointe, etc.
I know I’m late 😂 but they are super talented and really flexible and I love watching their videos! ☺︎︎
Thank you.
for the one at 6:06 it would probably make it easier in pointe, because the longer your legs are the easier to get up into handstand in this one
I would love to see you react to Australian calisthenics dance 😊 particularly graceful solos and exercises (also known as free arm)
I have no idea what she's talking about but this is still so entertaining to watch!
i love how they save it every time by doing those tiny little steps on pointe until the momentum calms down ksdfjshfg sO CUTE
I loved this vid! I have done ballet since I was very little and now I have super flexible feet, do you have any advice on what type of pointe shoes would be best? Because every time I try to be en pointe for a long time, my arches cramp up.
They need to collab!
Not a ballet dancer and these videos have become my life.
I wish acro ballet would be so epic to watch.
So, I have to say this - I am not a ballet fan, a ballet dancer or anything. BUT.. I am addicted to your channel! Your videos are awesome and make me wish I was a dancer just so you could fit me in pointe shoes (actually no, don’t. That would be a terrible idea, since my middle name is klutz!). I AM a photographer though, and my sister does ballet, and one of my favorite sessions was with her just doing contemporary ballet in the photo studio. :) love the artistic part - love your personality! Thanks for being on YT!
Omg my name is Josephine too !!! Never seen or met anyone with the same name !!! Love the video x.
That moment when you asked “what is this,” I thought of the hula hoops contortionist from Cirque Du Soleil’s Alegria. You should check it out.
Lots of ballet today have moves like this in the choreography! Except for the crab thing. Never seen that. lol 😂
WhT the twins are training in is acrobatics Nd ballet that crab turn appears to be an acro standard but not usually 9n pointe😀
Their ankle strength must be off the charts!
yessss finally!
Just to mention, their mom trained them... She must be amazing
Loved the ad-libs on the bottom!!😂😂😂
Woooooooooow . Just woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
her reactions i love it 🤧🤧🤣🤣😊😊👌👌
Paper sizzers rock is in nz too!
I’m a casual acrobat and am getting into ballet!!! A future of ballet and Acro is my dream!!
Omg PLEASEEEE come to australlia victoria PLEASEEEEE
Ooh first ❤️ love ur vids!
1:48 in Brazil we say "rock, paper, scissors" haha
they are the best CZcamsrs
The accent is beautiful!
The thumbnail got me🤦♀️😂😂
Okg I love ur videos so much I’m not sure if u remember but you fitted me for point shoes once
Would you love to see a combination of gymnastics in ballet
The back handspring is what scared me the most! I was hoping they wouldn’t have to land en pointe. Oh, and yes I’m a fan of both Pointe Shoe Fitter And Rybka Twins.
I got all excited when I saw them put their ankles down for one of the handstands and now I’m like, why am I acting like I caught them doing something wrong when this isn’t some kind of easy game that everyone does…? 🤦🏼♀️😂
Ilysm
No it’s Rock Paper Scissors, I live in Victoria Melbourne I guess it’s a bit different all around Australia
in Germany and Switzerland it's also Scissors, Stone, Paper. I NEVER thought it could be different in other countries
watching this and being like "ooh i feel like doing ballet now!" like i didnt just come home from 3 hours of dance. lolll
