EID IN HARAR | ETHIOPIA VLOG

- As soon as I realised that EID would fall during the summer, I knew that I just HAD to visit Harar during that time. When I visited in 2012, I celebrated Eid ul Fitr in Harar and it was (and still is) one of the best experiences of my life. I just HAD to return. So, I did. And it did not disappoint. I love the community feel of praying all together, and the family orientated day.
I'm so excited for you to see the three Harar Vlogs that I have lined up! Thumbs up if you can't wait too :)

Maasha'allaah Dr.Amina Younis, a young, educated Muslim girl who who was able to navigate successfully between secular education and her Islam and its tradition. Baarak Allaah fiiki
Your grandma is so talented, masha'Allah. Thanks for sharing your beautiful culture with us Amina :).
I love your Harar vlogs!! It’s so lovely to hear about the culture too. Sounds like there is a lot of tradition!
Thank you Dr.Amina Younis. You provided me with the best beautiful videos of Addis Abeba and Harar cities I ever watched - the beauty of nature in the two cities, the beauty and tranquility in their tourist resorts specially Debre Zeit. The unique holiness of Harar City and its many mosques, the exceptional religious and national traditions and customs of Ethiopia that survived for centuries and its colourful ethnic diversity is something to appreciate and touches the heart.
Loved everything about this vlog Masha'Allah. Looks like you've had lovely eid Masha'Allah! :)

The inside of your households truly resemble ours. Your language and tunes of your songs are almost like Ours
That jabana ( the coffee ☕️) you will never feel full of enjoying and having story time
I like those harari baskets. I got some at home on the wall😀
The explanation of your traditions is so interesting! I'm from a different part of Ethiopia ( technically greater Somalia) but the difference in cultures is astounding. Hope I get the opportunity to visit one day. Although I wonder is it easy to navigate as a tourist? Or would you need someone who's familiar with the language/ culture to go with?
Thank you! You can easily navigate as a tourist but of course it's always better with a guide who can point things out to you!
Where is greater Somalia?
@@minilikiii3186 Greater Somalia is Somalia, Djibouti, north eastern Kenya (Mandera, Garissa etc) and eastern Ethiopia aka Ogaden.
LOVE from Sudan 💙💙💙

Nice to see another vlog. If u don't mind, why he can't speak Amharic?
He's not Ethiopian :)
Hi :) what is the name of the song playing at the beginning or your flight?
The song has no link, it's just from a CD I got from Ethiopia!
The name of song is
Harari zikri by ustaz fathi
Name:- Goytow ustena meka wa madena
You can check it.
Subhana Allah. You guys in Harar Ethiopia really resemble my Swahili bajun community here at the Kenya coast in the lamu archipelago. It is also said that we originally came from Ethiopia before settling in kismayu in somalia and then dispersing to lamu. Could Bajunis of Kenya be coming from Harar your place. Plz give light or research on that.
name of the song please ...ya nabiya Allah mohamed nabina ????
Please what is the name of manzuma or nashida i like it

What’s your husbands nationality ðnicity?
Did u say shaah for the tea? And malawah for the pancakes. If so how cool cuz we all so say malawah and shaah in somali. 😁😂
you can't speak or read any Ethiopian languages?
Milli Hab her Ethiopian language is harari she can speak it..Amharic the official is not needed for everyone
well, good for her.
Milli Hab yes there are over 80 languages and most I’m not sure if u know but Ethiopia long ago killed anyone not speaking Amharic cut tongues off...it was their way of amharizing and forcing to assimilate so Amhara can be the superior and face of Ethiopia...the kings goal was to have 1 language and 1 religion (hence forcing Christianity, specifically Orthodox) so people in return were resistant and purposely held on to their language sadly some regions are losing their language almost extinct..
So how come these 80+ languages existing now?
Yes, I speak Harari which is an Ethiopian language. Unfortunately, it is endangered. May God preserve all of our culture's, regardless of which culture it is. We are all beautiful.
ما شاء الله إثيوبيا جميلة هل انتى مستمره
