I have most the set done, have around 20 hit cards left, I did it all by 2 booster boxes & maybe 40 hanger packs, tons of bulk left over, gonna finish the last little bit buying singles or the actual cards I need, it wouldn't be a good money investment to try & finish the little bit left buying more booster boxes or packs, way cheaper to buy the few cards I need, ordered a few cards last nite, excited for em to get here & more excited when I'm finished with this set, I'm almost done with crown zen & Obsidian Flames as well

I enjoyed the pack opening and your thoughts you were sharing. I opened 1 box so far and have 4 pokemon center ETBs on the way. I'm still debating on doing 151 - my pull rates have been terrible and I want to do Lorcana. I am JUST completing Paldea and have already completed SV Base and Obsidian. Definitely an expensive hobby!
It definitely is haha. Adding Lorcana in to already collecting 4-6 Pokemon sets a year is gonna be tough for me!

When you put cards into the master set binder, but you have duplicates, do you check which card you want to keep in the binder thoroughly? Or do you just keep the one you pulled first and add the duplicate into your duplicates binder/box?
I tend to over analyse the cards I need in my binder for whitening, scratches, etc,... Even for reverses and the holos...
If there is a noticeable defect or something, I definitely replace with a better duplicate. But for most bulk, I don’t stress too much. They’re all NM essentially since I pull them from packs, and even if I have a bad copy most bulk is like 10 cents or free at my local shop.

I’m with you on just ripping 😅That’s my issue with Lorcana too I could have finished my 204 weeks ago if I bought a Rapunzel but I get too much pleasure in opening them myself. Helps that they’re so pricey lol.
Yup. You’ll eventually hit a rapunzel though for sure! Let’s hope these restocks coming up actually work and there is stuff out there to buy!

You should film a video where you sleeve every card and put them in the binder
I am on the fence with this set. Good video and advice, buy two boxes and get singles / swap for the rest. What do you do personally do with your duplicate bulk? Keep / swap / sell / play? Or combination of all. What’s your advice to make the most of them? (I am new to the hobby 😊)
Right now I keep all my bulk in the normal trading card cardboard storage boxes everyone uses. I have one buddy who collects too so he’ll dig through them sometimes, and occasionally we’ll pull out stacks to give to kids in the family, but otherwise I just have my bulk all organized and sitting!

Regarding questions about completing master sets, i’m still with 151, so the question is, when do you think is better to buy the remaining singles i need, right when the set comes out or waiting a few months to see if the prices drop? Good video!
Most of the time, prices will drop. For 151, since I tried to complete it quickly, I actually bought a few singles before the prices went up for a lot of the cards and they haven’t gone back down to the prices where I bought them yet. But it’s almost always a safe bet to wait until a price drop for sure!

Where do you buy your sleeves, top loaders, etc? Also, do you sell off your bulk, or hold?
I get all my sleeves either from Amazon in 1000 packs, or just from my local store if I run out. I haven’t found a good way to really get rid of bulk so currently I store it all! Just in the regular white cardboard card boxes that are sold at any card shop.
Lou, do you plan on mastering any sets that came out before crown zenith? If so, which ones or which have you done already
Yep! I have a whole shelf with binders made for all of the SWSH era stuff. I haven’t sorted all my bulk to make binders for anything earlier than that yet. But eventually as I complete earlier stuff I’ll do reviews of those too-maybe just as a group though since they will be a bit older by that point. I just pulled that giratina from lost origin last weekend and now I’ve got the itch to finish lost origin!!
I don’t think I am going to collect the whole Paradox Rift set, as I am still trying to complete 151 😁
I just opened two full boxes and two ETBs and still have a ton left to fill honestly. Would the move be to wait and buy singles, or buy singles now? Do you think prices will fall in the next few weeks?
Oh absolutely. The vast majority of cards are currently tanking in value compared to release. In another week or two we’ll know the general floor. Some may go up, like roaring moon, but nearly everything else should keep dropping for a bit.
@@Pokelou502 I’ll probably hold off then. I cracked two boxes and really didn’t get any of the chase cards which is pretty unfortunate. Pull rates seem to be rough on this set.
wheres a good place to buy singles for 151?
I’ve used eBay and TCGplayer if my local shop doesn’t have them, but finding a local store that does singles is always best! That can be tough though. A lot don’t buy or sell singles

Pretty much. With this set I may say even 1 booster box is enough… there are so many secret rares there’s no chance at pulling them all without spending thousands and thousands.

Tons on duplicates in commons. Omg. It's horrible
This was actually the first set I've ever been able to complete by just opening packs, as far as commons, uncommons, holo rares, and reverse holos go. The secret rares are tougher!
