Os vocais da Marie estão simplesmente surreais nessa canção. Ela conseguiu unir técnica perfeita, voz poderosa e profundo sentimento nessa interpretação.
In my opinion - this is the best vocals from Marie. How she got the ability to make you FEEL every word is just short of a miracle. We've all experienced these feelings and situations - missing a loved one, and Marie makes it seem so effortless to convey the emotion with her voice. This song is classy and Marie is the QUEEN!!!!!!
To me its a song about someone who's never settling in love. Maybe just looking for a physical fascination, "moved into the bed but you couldn't pay the rent", "making like a fox on the run", "ain't no kove around here no more"
Written on the same day as Joyride, it didn’t receive the attention it deserved as a single, due to new personnel at the record label
Spending my Time by Roxette 😢 I listened to this song so many times during a heartbreak many years ago. Beautiful song!
THE song to wallow in when you're heartbroken. It's so on point and so sad, but yet so wonderful.
OMG how I miss Maries ability to so effortlessly just find gears and levels in her vocals so effortlessly. A good example of why many thought them the experts of the 80's type ballad. I think this one had special meaning to her when they wrote it as she had just broken up with yet another boyfriend. However, on tour for this album it turned out alright as she met the love of her life future husband & father to her two children while they were staying in Sydney Australia. Depending on your version its either one or two songs away from the one song she wrote on the album.
Wow, makes sense, and I did feel like there was a little extra on the vocals in this one. Cheers for that insight, looking forward to Marie's song!
Whilst not a huge favourite I found this quite emotional to listen to today. Thinking about past loves, thinking about Marie and what we’ve lost.
Very emotional song. One of those I just couldn't appreciate enough as a teen...
What a classic! Marie's vocals... ❤ Per thought this would be their biggest hit, but some stuff happened within the record company... It was still a hit though, but a bit underappreciated in my opinion
I like this one, It sounds like Heart.
Love how this starts light, with just Marie and the Acoustic guitar, then it builds up with drums and electric guitar as the emotion becomes heavier.
Towards the end, the Raw emotion is she's hurting that it's over, yet also angry with herself for feeling this way, almost telling herself to snap out of it.
Their best song! Pure emotion!
