Truckin' Home for Christmas! | American Truck in the UK | 1966 Ford F100

Driving home for Christmas in my 1966 Ford F100 pickup truck! Unfortunately the overdrive doesn't work correctly at the moment, so I'm limited to ~45mph... On that basis I decided to avoid the motorway entirely and take the back roads from South Wales to the West Midlands.

Do your self a favor, replace the fuel filler hose with one that is as long as will fit and fit the hose clamps close to the ends. The reason for this is if you are hit from the side the petrol tank will move causing the short hose to detach causing fuel to spill into the cab. I personally watched a man burn to death for this reason. The longer the hose the more movement can happen before the hose detaches.

Didn’t they! And then you look at some of the awful looking cars they made in the 80s-90s like you see in the X-Files, and wonder where it all went wrong 🤷
