Under 16 girls - 50.10
Under 18 girls - 50.22
Under 20 girls - 50.50
Also, Boys under 18 had better timing than under 20 boys....
Now the officials and coaches and the entire athletic association and enthusiasm must identify the bottlekneck and and work towards get it fixed for better Sri lankan hope in the track events...also in all other sports.
I think the examination system need to re study / re module of its marking method for students taking part in school sports activities......based on games they take part......sports like cricket, athletics are full time practicing...so such students taking part in school level be honerably granted 25% of full marks at OL and AL . Other sports and extra curriculams be granted additional marks based on the events time consumed for practices and games....this way, you can bring better devolopment to the sports of SL....otherwize, parents and school masters now a days, discourage kids taking part full time on sports and get focus on studies....we have enough of 8A /A4 producers to do administative work ( of course many of these flying colours students lack self confidence and shown selfishness all around .. y heardly find a good mixer now a days )
So sugest, sports can take to very high level if we focus towards thus method.
Also those who are with sports back ground be recruited to police and military ....this way lot of bad things can bring to control.
Nowhere in earth does so. Studies are studies and sports are sports. Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross couldn't finish her degree at UT Austin coz she missed her studies due to training. But if you are smart, you can be an all-rounder and no problem with that. I don't know whether or not school masters discourage sports, I think kids don't like to participate 'em. Because, we don't have good facilities etc. If you wanna bring out kids back to the playground, you may think of a creative way of doing that like an astounding sports atmosphere running on good chunk of money. Remember the golden days of Ceylon athletics when Susan, Dharsha etc broke into the limelight ? We all wanted to do athletics. So did when we won the cricket world cup.
What does it mean by if you are smart enough to be an all rounder.......are you talking about copying from others at the exam?? Or complete daily work before go to sleep somehow??
Our education system and world system are not the same...and it does not need to be the same iether. We should be free to adjust for our requirements.
School masters will never discurrage children taking part in sports during exam season, but parents of course...there are many talented players given up sports due to this reason specialy now days....
now , You read the time differances of each level. So come out with the reasons you foresee and solutions to upgrade the timings 👍
