Raw Mammoth Skiing after a Blizzard 3/6/24

- The storm brought a lot of snow but also a lot of wind. With that, we lost a lot of that snow on the mountain and only feels like we are skiing on a few inches of fresh snow. Will be out riding again. We are looking at 2 inches in the next 24 hours so hopefully that will soften everything up.
This is why I rarely get jealous of these huge sierra dumps, the winds are so crazy you don't even get that much accumulation! Much rather our 6" refreshers out here in the rockies, no roads closed and you can actually ski the powder.
You are totally right, only downside to the sierras is the high winds. We got 48 inches from the blizzard but it skied like we only got 2. Im sure the Rockies are dope!

This is at mammoth mountain, chair 23, chair 9, chair 22, and a few others.
flat light and dust on crust. Perfect conditions for SoCal skiers. Imagine paying hundreds of dollars to ski those conditions.

@@taotracy4431 only my 2nd REAL season. Last season I had 8 days. Im also no where near pro lol but thank you , I moved to mammoth this year so thats why I can ski so much. Thanks for the comment
