This 40 foot skoolie was converted into the coziest home on wheels by the Hancocks, a fun-loving family of five who can't get enough adventure. Brad & Ashley decided they wanted to try an alternative lifestyle that would allow them to explore the world while showing their kids different ways of life, in hopes of raising well-rounded humans. Since living on the road, they have found community, beautiful landmarks, & a deeper connection as a family. It has proven to them time & time again that the pros of living in a bus, far outweigh the cons.
The Barefoot Bus features a large kitchen with a farm sink, spacious living room, a stacked bunk room for the kiddos, & a bathroom. In addition to the functional features of this build, there is an abundant amount of personal touches that make the bus feel true to who the Hancocks are.

I watched this bus come to life. Ashley is an incredible human, and I love seeing her family grow and live a freeing lifestyle. I’ve loved this bus since day one, and of course am completely jealous. ❤

I usually resent folks advertising their business because I'm a jerk and just want to see the home! I wish you folks all the good luck with your endeavors. Having been the single Dad, building a business and our home while making time to get outdoors with my children was a tough 14 years. Now they are adults and teaching my grandchildren all we did to survive and thrive together. FAMILY, built together is so much stronger then those just existing in a dwelling.
Great bus/home, those personal little touches are more important then you can imagine right now, never be apologetic.

Sometimes it's interesting to see how incomes are generated but seems many rely on making small items, etc. Wonder just how many self employed trinket (etc.) makers the internet can support....guess enough.....

I love everything except for the kids beds. A bit too inaccessible, cramped & no air flow. But if the kids don't mind, that's all that counts! Happy travels to you!!

Don't know how you keep light upolstery clean!😆...you take the tarantula, I'll take the dog(s)😂🤣. Great learning for whole family but especially if kids are from a unicultural area. Kudos to Mom and Dad for taking the plunge and exposing kids to other cultures. My only other note is bed space seems bit too tight, especially bottom one. Little kids grow so fast. These are our lovely friends ❤ the kids are SO PROUD of their bunk beds and love their home on wheels. Might I add, if you didn’t catch it, they also have a house so this isn’t even their full time setup. Not that it matters one bit as this bus is AMAZING! They are great people and living their lives to the fullest. The kids bunks are very spacious, cozy, and COLORFUL! They’re not “cramped” at all. Idk why people get on here to tear others down in these comment sections. It’s bizarre. Please consider a hobby of sorts to let out your frustrations, not coming to the internet to try to ruin someone’s day for fun.

To all those concerned about the children's bunks: My husband and I have been in their beautiful bus, and I can assure you that the bunks are more spacious than they appear in this video.
They are, indeed, a wonderful, loving family, and their kids are super proud of their bunk beds.
