  • today marks my 9th shift with this driver agency, hopefully this vlog provides a small insight into the different type of work an agency may give you, as well as what day to day life is like for a multi-drop driver. I give my personal opinions on what its like tips and hints ect. PLEASE NOTE BY NO MEANS AM I RIGHT OR WRONG THIS IS JUST MY OPINION AND HOW I LIKE TO DO THINGS MY VERY OWN WAY.

    Feel this. I used to do 15-20 stops in a 26tonner up on Exmoor when I was on pallets. Some of the farms and cottages were murder 😂

      Thanks buddy really appreciate it👍🏾…. With lorries it’s harder for the examiner to know the position of your truck especially class 1 which is why they are more observant on the actual driver making sure he does his Constant checks, so just shake your head about loads in the cab 😂😂 I checked every mirror every like 3 seconds 😂

      Spot on....so many get agency slave rate when company is paying agency another more pre hour! Hence, newbies are slow to know they should avoid the low payers as it hurts them and many others. Cheap is awful, quality costs a bit more?

  • @JamesMonty

    That’s a superb rate, I do class 2 multi drops part time but get 14 per hour which goes up to 17 after 8 hours. And every shift for some companies is always 10-13 hours
    I only do it once a week do not a big deal, but 17 ph is superb

      Just remember on the day mate third times the charm 😂, but in all fairness it’s normal to be nervous helps with concentration…. Your brain literally cannot concentrate on anything else but the task at hand so think of your nerves as more of a tool that your brain is serving up 🤔😉

    £17/h not bad. However im on 14 and after 8 hours £21/h. Obviously half an hour break is not paid... anyway keep up the good content you are doing great bud.

    • @TRUCKERKEV
      @TRUCKERKEV  Před 2 lety

      ohhhh nice buddy thanks for sharing !!! and yer some agencies are good like that offering 1.5x after 8hrs !!! those are the ones that are worth the hustle... thanks for the support !!

  • @Ro-mm6tq
    @Ro-mm6tq Před 2 lety

    Multi-drop with many agencies now £19.00 hr....usually, class two is much harder work plus driving....and sometimes, moody customers blaming driver for companies order/supply issues. The rates at Royal Mail, DPD and DHL rather reflect fair albeit RM has a uniqueness as many RM agency drivers will know. Parcel carriers in my experience is about the right balance between required skill and pay as against sheer volume of labour. Hence, £18.00 through to the nights at £25.00 seems fair as they pay breaks too.

    Do you know if you have class 1 and join an agency and do class 2 works do you get paid the class 1 rate because you have class 1 license?? Another driver told me this but don’t know if this is true.?

    • @TRUCKERKEV
      @TRUCKERKEV  Před 2 lety

      Not true mate … they pay different rates for different jobs, just depends on the company that hires a driver from the agency, usually it’s more for class 1 work.
