Great video, just subscribed to your podcast which I'll start listening to over the weekend
nice vlog mate !!
Great video Kev, all gold mate.
Nice to see you back keep on trucking.
thanks mate i missed the driving :)
Nice dude been waiting for a video 💪
Great video bud, nice to hear it from someone just starting out. I have my course in a few weeks going for my class 1, have already been offered a job with a great company and really optimistic about the future.
Just found your channel and looking forward to future videos.
That’s amazing news buddy well done !!!
It seems as many that are leaving because of how badly drivers get treated especially agency there are just as many willing to pay to go through the same motions later on I know a few that have passed class 1 and just can’t do the job/hours etc so good luck I’ve about had enough after 12 years it’s just getting worse
Great vlog bud . I’m in the same boat with full time job and planning to drive a couple of shifts per month. Keep the content coming, really informative 👌
Thanks mate !!!! And yes do it !! The holiday I’m taking my family on was literally paid for by these little shifts here and there !!!🔥💪🏽
Good Video bro! I’m doing second day as a class 1 so I was stressing at the start but now it’s getting better and better.
I’m on 19£ doing agency as well and I only have 2 collections to do lol couldn’t be more better🤙🏻
That’s the one mate !!!! Good rates good easy shifts
@@TRUCKERKEV don’t usually go together keep that one
Hey buddy. Good to see you back on the road and on the video. A nice early start I see. Keep them videos coming. £19 an hour is ok! I love the Volvo. Keep up the good work 👍
How this job will be permanently?
@@andreipuk7818 sorry. Not sure what your question is?
@@billyhgvuk I'm.mean agency most of the time pay good rate because this is temporary jobs they offer
@@andreipuk7818 correct and doesn’t work out when work then don’t worked out over a year is a lot less that full time wage but have the option to work or not when prefer live driving hate the bs and lies and not being payed etc etc
Mate loved the video. I’ve been out 4 times solo. Like you hate the reversing. I’m sure I’ll get there in time.
Haha yer let’s hope mate !!! Everyone started somewhere 😉
Won’t take long you get used to it after a few months without thinking about it
Generally speaking, a period of availability ( POA ) is waiting time, the duration of which must be known in advance. Examples of what might count as a POA are accompanying a vehicle on a ferry crossing or waiting while other workers load/unload the vehicle.
Not a trucker. But really like your vlogs. Most interesting to see how things work.
Hi Kev thanks for the video. What other job do you do when not driving?
I buddy hope you are well. Brilliant vlog. Philip is interested just failed my cpc yesterday I got 39 and they want 40.for a pass. I will keep trying. Take care nice to see you phil
Ohhh booo !!! Hopefully next time mate
Brilliant Kev, Can you confirm what hours I can do for a night shift on C1 , just got set on at Wakefield Culina on agency, loads of nights available...is it a Max 10hr limit? Thanks.Lee
Nice video, I’m a class 2 driver doing multi drop it’s constantly stopping and going, I’m thinking of getting my class 1 and was wondering if you get good jobs like long distance driving 1 drop and back on agency?
1000% your see more jobs like that where it’s long distance and only one or two drops like this shift here mate
@@TRUCKERKEV nice, that’s why I wanted my hgv license for those type of jobs, but only having class 2 is mainly short distance multi drop which is shit. I like 3 hour journey to drop off and 3 hour journey back for example.
Class 1 it is then 👍👍
i don't find starting early a problem, but REAL night driving is bad, start at 8.00pm till 6.00a.m, body is screaming SLEEP,
Brilliant content man, love your channel....could I ask what you do for a pension?
Thanks 😊!!!! And I won’t receive my pension till I’m 68 buddy 😂😂😂😂
@@TRUCKERKEV lol sorry man, wasn't meaning to be rude. Was just curious what kind of pension truckers pay into whether it's a company or private pension etc
@@grahamwhitelaw8947 no worries at all buddy 😂, best pension in the world is buying a property that you can rent👌🏻
did you get paid your breaks?
continue your videos please but also don't drink your brew on video mate as its illegal just s friendly advice brother
I just passed my test on the 12th August, got my cards last week and no work yet agency or company 🙁
That’s so crazy!!! DM me on insta let’s find out some more info and find out why this is happening 🤔
@@TRUCKERKEV yeah 🙁, I sent a dm on insta
@Ravenclaw1 ring around all agencies in your area the 1st 2 years are always hardest class 1 due to insurance demands over 25 and 2 years experience at most companies so agency is your best bet mate but will be slow and shit shifts for a while good luck
@@neilstewart2036 I've got class 2 work with an agency, they said to do this for 4 months or so then they will get me class 1 work
Beware, on site awaiting to load, unload when a driver can be called upon is POA NOT rest, unless, a driver is content to breach regulations risking prosecutions and fines when, by way of practice, a driver evades compliance.
I mean it’s not something I would advice to do for a long period of time unless that lifestyle suits you but that rate of pay PAYE it’s not bad at all in my opinion (providing I lived closer)
its a bakery not a distribution centre
Love driving too, but really enjoy pulling heavy pump trucks too. Get a free workout. Saves on gym fees!. Stops you getting fat.

i dont mind you drinking coffee while driving but it is illegal and you can get ticket for it in UK.. eating is also prohibited.. but in Europe its not i think.
