THAT brings back memories...The first one I was shown on was a Char-lyn. The initial indicator was turning the shaft by hand...doesn't when in good condition. Details like case/ component alignment, thrust washer (is also a type of bearing) and commutator location & orientation were emphasized... No matter the mfgr, with the conditions most heavy- med. use equipment are exposed, hyd. motor & pump shaft seals were the most common point of failure...and the most difficult to access. Thank you!
FYI--The Parker wheel motor taken apart here (from what I could see in the video) was the TG0625 series motor, seal kit # SK000092. My Toro Dingo (05 TX420) uses the TG0530 (528cc/32.3ci) series motor, seal kit # SK000159.
Thank you for the video. I’ve never wanted to disassemble a pump because I’ve heard it was a nightmare. Well now I have a basic idea on how to do it. I paid 500 for a new pump and have an old one I can now play with. 👍
i totally agree, unfortunately the customer wanted the machine back and making money. so i just ordered a complete new motor. i kept the old pump and hopefully when i get moved into the new shoop, ill be able to overhaul the shaft.
Folks, don't mark your motor with a grinder. Clean excess oil and dirt, then glove up with some gray ghost gloves and finish cleaning with brake cleaner (WallyWorld has affordable generic can), THEN with a Markal Valve Action Marker (White) make a symmetrical V, opposite side of ports from rear cover up to shaft end, back down rear end. This will help anytime you have to deal with timing issues on a motor. Tolerances are (should) be tight on motors and valves, so bring a lot of patience. Take pictures every step of the way. If you purchase an OEM Seal Kit, they often have torque specs and sequences for securing the rear cover when you're done. Thank Me Later...
one last option ...if you cannot find a new shaft .. weld charge the shaft where is distroied and then put the shaft on a lathe and machine the shaft back to original dimension
This company sells Parker parts: www.wilson-company.com. Depending on where the parts are warehoused, you can get parts delivered within a few days to a week from order date.
If wear is too excessive and welding/ machining would cause the shaft to weaken and there are no replacements available (if you have some time); having it re-chromed is another option. There are usually a few machine shops in any city near by that will do it for a reasonable price.
Hey Brother I appreciate the detailed information that you give you do an awesome job of instruction thank you for your hard work in helping us understand how this works and how to fix the problem
Hi can i get your help me i have a hydraulic 52 inch lesco lawn mower and both sides of mine was making a sound but now it will barely even roll is it the hydraulic pumps or the wheel motors ? I took a look inside one of the hydraulic pump it looks like its good nothing broke in side ?
How much power do these things output? You can find measurements for torque and flow rate, but i want to know how much horsepower they are capable of, is the fluid the limiting factor?
Glad i found you video, sadly i already took mine apart without any lines. Do you have a video how to reassemble if taken apart with no line. SMH i should have know better. Thx!
this is why its so important for mechanics to gather old machines and keep them and not scrap them.they shoot themselves in the foot by scrapping old machines, getting a fix it job can be alot easier if you have a bone yard.Spare parts make for labor and part availability thus creates income duh ...I keep old cars because parts are getting scarce due to insatable drewling scrappers.
The motors on a tag along forklift have gotten weak. They're Parker motors. neither motor leaks fluid but just don't pull strong any more. Is there a kit to fix this problem?
Anyone know what happens if a piece is accidentally flipped upside down. I resealed both wheel motors. And now one side works while in the air. But as soon as its on the ground it wont pull itself
This unfortunately illustrates my problem, leaking out the front shaft,, I am 99% positive the seal is fine, the bearing and soon to be the shaft is shot , and a replacement is just 3 months away ,,,,
I'm guessing the video's been run through a program to keep the subject centered in the viewing area that's making you seasick.. It's a trade off for having an image frame moving around and the subject bouncing in the shot. Rare. Not many one handed video's get this correction.

It’s pretty easy to tear down as long as you have all the tools but I’m trying to figure out how to build it😂

years ago i did a lot of hydraulic work. on the deal you have there iam surprised the those small seals hold back that much pressure.
Glad I found your video! Im about to pull my mt50 apart this weekend and do this. Helped alot, thanks!
Was this the same motor?
Same issue here with a zero turn mower. I haven't taken it apart yet. The one wheel motor howls like crazy and leaks on the shaft.

That dancing screen is a real PITA while watching..............

by the way. thank you for making the video. will be an awesome help if i can actual find the parts i need
Who ever thought of the design for these? Crazy!
Can you make one more video showing how to complete the repair
you´re a kind person........i want to be your friend
Hey Brother I appreciate the detailed information that you give you do an awesome job of instruction thank you for your hard work in helping us understand how this works and how to fix the problem
You could probably find a machine shop to weld on that shaft and grind it in to spec if you can find the tolerances.
Great video Very informative .

good vídeo man. l have 2 of these .l need the pump to move them where l can got it???
Good instructional video. Was it taken on a boat. All that rocking is very off putting.

great video, stop complaining people

How many hours do you think this motor had on it before it came off for repair...???
Hi Mr Beauthemechanic how to by the Parker Denison hydraulic pump I’m looking the pump for the Equipment IMS DREDGE 7012 thanks
The motors on a tag along forklift have gotten weak. They're Parker motors. neither motor leaks fluid but just don't pull strong any more. Is there a kit to fix this problem?
+BigLowman BigLowman If they are external gear type then they could be worn out. Don't take this as an expert opinion.
If parts were not available, you could have that shaft welded up and turned back down.
Great Job. Marathon Hydraulic Motors. Wheel Motor Exchange
so the question is where can i get parts for one? the seals is the only parts i can find
I keep shearing woodruff key holding wheel hub on is there a torque spec?
250 -400 foot pounds of torque
hey, did you ever get your that shearing fixed, mine is doing the same
Anyone know what happens if a piece is accidentally flipped upside down. I resealed both wheel motors. And now one side works while in the air. But as soon as its on the ground it wont pull itself
Good job

Hello Mr. Revelo try USA ebay, there are a lot of Parker Denison options new and used
i dont know if you got the problem fixed but email me some pics thru my facebook and ill try and help sort it out..
A machine shop could weld up and recut the shaft on a lathe
Silent Death
I have the same motor is a hydro gear looking for the reseal kit would you have a part number for that my part number for the motor is 510 2681
This unfortunately illustrates my problem, leaking out the front shaft,, I am 99% positive the seal is fine, the bearing and soon to be the shaft is shot , and a replacement is just 3 months away ,,,,
its a geroler motor not an axial pump.
good
this video makes me sea sick
