Artyom's have a head! HAHA In the final scene of the game, he stands beside Anna, and theyr friends. A lovely scene by the way
but if you noclip and see his face its the same model of dukes face so its not cannon, but artyoms real face is on google from metro 2033

From a person who reads the books. I believe artyom is one of the easiest characters to believe yourself to be. And I often tell myself the person reading the loading screen text from artyom is his son or something like that.
I imagine Artyom looking like... a mix of... aight so you take Sam Fisher and Makarov from MW2, and give him a badass stubble beard.
We need to see Artyom's face and see him express himself or talk, just like Isaac Clarke in Dead Space 2
Honestly I hate Artyom not having a voice in-game more than him not having a face. The lack of voice is absolutely immersion breaking for me. I love the game, but I never felt like part of the story, because I was a mute boy constantly bombarded with questions I was never allowed to answer.
What's with the decision of characters asking Artyom so many questions if you don't allow him to answer them? It feels so weird honestly. Artyom even HAS A VOICE in the loading screens and he had an awesome voice actor too, why not use him more? It would instantly make the game a lot better for me.
As I said, I really loved the game, but this decision felt really weird to me.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It makes conversations feel so awkward and immersion breaking whenever a character is talking and asking him questions, and he doesn't say a single word. It'd make sense if he didn't have a voice actor to voice the lines, but he does! Seriously, what an odd creative decision made by the devs.
He has voice but only in the prelude of chapters
It’s so weird that he has a voice actor for the monologue breaks during loading screens but no actual voice in gameplay, I hope the next Metro game will actually give Artyom a voice, I could care less about seeing his face that could remain a mystery but please give my boy Artyom a voice, you literally have the voice actor already 🤦♂️🤣

Funny that you guys mention the thing with the headless shadow and promised to fix it.
Literally finished the game last night and throughout the entire adventure, I still saw my shadow being without a head.
It's been 2 years since the release already. lol

This is the best thing a game dev team has done let the player imagine the face of Artyom him self.
We can see the artyom head in the good ending of metro exodus , and artyom eyes in artyom nigthmare (trailer), artyom isn't ugly, its normal guy with 27 years old😂

As much as I love the metro series I can not stand the fact the Artyom does not speak a word to anyone even when asked a question or when something goes down only in the journal of metro exodus does he speak before each chapter

Oh I get it, I managed it myself. I am artyom, the guy who plays the game. I made my own response to somebody in there. Somebody surrendering? Well fuck you! no mercy. That is how voiceless and faceless character works. I feel like I am artyom blyat.

Ну блин, как то все равно, увидили б мы лицо и норм все было. Хотя бы просто создайте модельку и покажите как вы "видите" Артёма. Он в Колде или том же Сталкере мы играли и знали как выглядят наши персонажи и на погружение это не влияет. Тем более если ты девушка в мужиком теле, где погружение? А оно есть)
Ну, у него есть лицо в оригинальном "Метро 2033" 2010 года.
I would rather get to know the actual character of Artyom through voice acting and visuals than try to project myself into the story since the game isn't really an RPG. Also it wouldn't really change the morality system since there doesn't really seem to be one apart from the alternate endings.

For me,
is stupid that we have to fill the character with our imagination, why?
Well first, women who play can't do that, because Artyom is exclusively A MAN, so they can not connect like they are Artyom, they connect like they take care of him, look at commented gameplays made by women and they will show you.
Besides,
the best example of this useless philosophy is FarCry, the 3 was loved by every one,
with a simple character but a clear objective,
and the 5 was an empty object without more purpose than obey and kill with custom stuff, it was certainly stupid, and it felt empty, something was missing, and that is because the main character does not exist.
YOU DO NOT EXIST.
And you have a voice actor already, stop leaving him aside and give him more work for God's sake,
Halo understood this already,
