A great achievement for a 26-year-old adventurer! Wishing you all the very best in the future! I remember watching your video during the terrible typhoon that hit Siargao! You deserve a happy ending surrounded by a loving wife and family, dogs, and a restaurant serving surfers & tourists.
Damn bro, you've been through alot, I'm happy to see that your house is finally about to be complete. You definitely got my respect, you've shown patience and perseverance, with that builds character. Kudos to you.
Make sure you termite proof your house and get a monthly or every 3 months spraying because with so much wood in your house the termites are gonna have a field day.
You did a wonderful job finishing your beautiful house, congratulations! One thing you have learned from this, you can't rely on people to make your dream house, you should always be present to keep them straight. Good job!
Hey Tal! How sweet to hear you say “my house”…what an accomplishment… you’re only 26 yrs young…. I hope you leave the dark stain on the bedroom floor…. It’s character!!!! What did you name your house? Shalom… Shalom!
My husband is an architect, he thinks the dark orange looks nicer with the black and he has a piece of advice to put hand rail on your stairs for safety. Congratulations on your new home.
Subbed to follow your journey living in the Philippines, more power to your channel and may all your dreams come true. May the Lord continue to bless you🤔🧐🔥
So painful what you had to go through, but at least the house is done and it looks beautiful. Congratulations, and yes, we are so proud of your accomplishments. Love the color combination, too! Hope that there’s no more leak. Can’t wait to see the yard landscape when it’s done. Love the Hanukkah menorah! Never seen one like it before - so unique! שנה טובה ומתוקה!🍎🍯
Your nipa hat is nice, the key of having a good nipa hat canopy is you combine concrete pedestal on concrete footing for your wood column, if you dont it will not last long
Tal im so glad that u have a tiny house when u gonna go back to the phil just asked help to clean up the house and soroundings u fench simple so that its nice just keep on going take care
Wow! Congratulations Tal. The house looks good. The surf board menorah was a really good idea. Excited to watch your next vlogs on furnishing the house. Watching from Southern California.👍🏼❤️
Happy to see you with the progress of your house in Siargao and can’t wait until its done . Enjoy your life there and hope to see more of your blogs and videos with your adventures . Watching you from Florida as always 😊
Hi Tal! WOW!!! Kudos! Congrats! We’ll done!!!! You own the house of my dreams… it’s really amazing … I love the beautiful color combinations… should be in Architectural Digest…all the waiting…. It’s so worth it ! I wish you all the best in your new home… I love the menorah… don’t forget the mezuzah… we love your beautiful home and we love you too! 🎉❤🎂
Your place is awesome! After all you have been through Tal, im glad your house is almost done. You really deserve it 🙌 i suggest you sealed your kitchen cabinets for long life and away from termites… your property is really cool. You are blessed! I pray that you’ll have a great life in Siargao 🤗
Congrats!!🎉 You did it! I had a horrible experience with our contractor too.. the worst experience of my life! Whew!! You overcame the challenges and pursued ur dreams! ❤ *Just a comment with the orange paint, the last colour is way better😁
Some western builders will be establishing on the island soon so you won’t have to deal with lazy locals anymore. It will be more expensive but done with western precision and work ethic.
You should make a package contract to employees or laborers that’s what I do in Philippines..if not it’s goingggg to be long, package contract means they come or not working the pay is the same for a package construction of kitchen for example or better yet hire like an agency or a package contractor system you don’t have to handle employees ..your just going to talk to one person..can be a little expensive (but you can haggle the price) but saves you time and headache..✌🏼🇫🇷
Work ethics is hell in some other town. I had my nightmare experience, which made me ran off to Siargao for a few days to mourn the death of a dream. Because the workers decided to take a break to go to a bday party at 8 in the morning and drink coconut whisky all day. No wonder there is poverty.
The roof; the ceiling. Test it doesn't leak, again. Btw, if you pay by the day, they'll come when they FEEL like coming. (It's More "Fun" in the Philippines 🇵🇭?!!!) ... Have it blessed, Tal.
Wow, nice..finally and congrats! Are you gonna be getting Starlink? FYI: you can send huge boxes from America, Canada, and Middle East via sea cargo ( LBC, Makati Express. and etc.) weight not measured. Filipinos send boxes to the Philippines all the time. I packed the boxes densely and I’ve sent just about anything from US( foods, electronics, tools, kitchen appliances, clothes, and etc) it takes at least 2 mos. to the destination
Well, most of those guys you have on site have zero construction experience to begin with and if they did, they learn them from neighbors and uncles handed down to them thru generations. All of have no proper building certification to show for. It's practically common here in the Philippines even in here in Manila unless you hire a Ayala crew or something, then your talking mega bucks. In the province where you reside its entirely that way. Is best to learn and do it yourself. Also, reduce your wood use as termites will be waiting to eat that in no time, they are very common here. Use aluminum or synthetic wood where you can.
I love that color orange outside paint. My suggestion that piece of glass in your shower you might have to install a galvanized pool that will hold your glass or any type of material maybe plastic tubing because of so many earthquakes in Philippines 🇵🇭 And also, I would suggest put galvanize railing for your stairs, so no one would slip and fall. I think your worker every day after they work you have to ask them if they’re going to show up the next day as far as I know, they always start at 8 o’clock in the morning. God bless
I would suggest you to watch also the ARMSTRONG FAMILY. the couple is into house building . At first they started with simple house but later the foriegn husband duswd already his knowledge in house buildind. It would give you an idea.
Congratulations 🎉 Hurry and sell it for 3 M and build a cement house closer to shore! Joking aside, your determination and perseverance has overcome all the obstacles when building a house on a small island.
FYI foreigners are not allowed to own lands in PH he can be deported for overstaying in PH he's building a house in a land which cannot be his he can be evicted
@@londonbobby69 the foreigner is still building a house in a land that he can never own & if the Fil landowner doesn't renew the lease contract (which is usually yearly) the house goes to the Fil. landowner FYI aside from lands foreigners in PH also can't own full business ownership ( the 60/40 Filipino first policy) The foreigner can be a PH citizen if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which I don't think is his case If you don't believe me you can ask a PH lawyer or the PH Bureau of Immigration about it Mr londonbobby
nice looking tiny house..nice seeing you back in PH! dang in the long run your house will be worth alot . land there in siargao is getting expensive. its getting more popular for the tourist. why you paying them per hour? you can pay them per day or the whole project cost we also called "pakyawan". just put a hard wood floor it will look nice
love your house. maybe put glass surround for your kitchen with a sliding door to protect your kitchen from the rain and other elements like insects and animals
No need for glass, just balluster to sit on like a patio. Typhoon can shatter the glass if it doesn't have a bigger roof to block it from outside. It can be an open chicken and just install aluminum screen with wood to protect from mosquitoes, it's cheaper and even if a typhoon comes it's not dangerous when shattered.
This is what exactly want as TinyHome ... what is the cost of lot/materials/labor bottom line estimate cost please? OKay.. had to Edit my 2nd comment...dude.. I didn't get to your house looks great once watching your vlog little over half of this vid... with the kitchen exposed and painted so far and at end looks amazing! WANT tinyhome !
Only watched a few of your vids. the algorism threw at me.Your house has a nice feel to it. Do you know about what you have into it with the land ? I built a year ago. I relate to all your pain and frustration.
It’s looking good. We felt ur frustration with slow progress. Have an engineer check the whole thing. I must say Philippines builders health & safety regulations still non existence. Wish u all the best & looking forward to that house tour & house warming.
May the Lord Jesus bless you & guide you on your plans!

put a net atop your nipa roof so that when there's strong winds it has a tendency to be inverted❤
Your Dream is your dream follow your dream with faith, nice to see you again.
When the house is done, be sure to have it blessed by a priest. Beautiful house. Congratulations. Great job!
Make sure you termite proof your house and get a monthly or every 3 months spraying because with so much wood in your house the termites are gonna have a field day.

Solar power and Starlink wifi for off-grid living.
Definitely, a toilet or bathroom needs a door.
