Yesterday morning I was out at New Smyrna Beach Inlet with a Brazilian TV crew from Record TV. I had a great early morning interview on the sand with a reporter named Evelyn Bastos and caught some surf right after the interview was over.. Evelyn wanted to see if I could find any sharks out in the water with my drone. Well, I put Mavic up in the air and BAM! Sharks!.. She was shocked and pleasantly surprised as well to see all the shark in the water.

I always heard from pilots around the area that we never wanted to know what was in the water underneath us.. After I bought my drone and put that thing up in the air over the water we can all agree..lol

Are the majority of the sharks near the jetties compared to further south like around the Best Western hotel?

There is a heavy concentration of shark close to the jetty, inlet area. It's a nursery for many shark species. However, I've seen sharks swimming the shallows all the way South as Bethune Beach. They usually are chasing bait fish.
