- This is my Experience Buying A New BOOSTED BOARD in 2021. This is part 2 of two. Part 1 was of my New BOOSTED BOARD STEALTH UNBOXING and Review From BOOSTED USA. These are The Last Of BOOSTED'S Electric Longboard. As an eskater, when the surf is bad I have a surf alternative! It's my e skateboard! The BOOSTED BOARD! In this vlog I'm taking my second leap outside my normal uploads and showing you another aspect of my life, This is definitely a surf skate vlog!
So with part 2 of this eskate review, we pick up were we left off. A little mad, upset and frustrated. Not a very good look for BOOSTED USA. My Boosted Stealth skateboard deck is scratched up (the lower deck) and I'm not happy about it. For $1,600.00 and without the same BOOSTED warranty this is very pricey and buyers should expect a better experience. I end up heading to town to try and fix the issue and take a cruise around on another one of my Boosted Boards. WATCH! See what happens. I hope you enjoy the vlog.

@@douglaschamroeun7687 I've always wanted to try the Boosted Mini. Haven't yet though. Do you like the Boosted Mini X? It's strange, since I've uploaded these last two videos on Boosted I've had E-skaters comment about how Boosted sucks and other board brands are better...yet, when I watch other videos revolving around other electric skateboards people dislike other companies too! They're like electric skateboard purist and nothing is better than their specific brand they are loyal to or their DYI they have made themselves. What happened to just loving what you love and liking what you like? For me, I've always liked Boosted and its sad they went out of business. But, somehow people still label their new electric skateboard as "Boosted Board Killers" lol. which means Boosted still after 2 years of being out of business companies are still trying to compete with Boosted. There is some cool boards I'm interested In buying like the Exway - Atlas. That looks like a powerful board (But it's like $2300!)
Yes, the price is very high for these Boosted Boards. But, so are other companies with the same or similar quality. Boosted has made boards that last a long time. (yours have lasted 3 + years already). And if you take care of them you won't see the RLOD or other issues. Plus, at 15-17 pounds these longboards are way lighter than most new e-boards on the market ranging at 30 pounds now a days.
True, $1600 is alot of money. Plus, I'm not getting Boosted's well known customer service backing that price either. I've contacted Boosted about returning or even exchange. It was possible. But, I feel like I've bonded to the board already and have the scratches close to removed, but buffing them out. I still have a few more weeks to decide. So, If I do... I'll let you and the channel know whats up. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🤙

I know that I am two years too late with this advice, but I feel compelled to throw it out there anyway. You made a reference to the back to the future hover board, if you really want that feel? Throw some 105s on your boosted board and don’t over tighten your trucks you kind of want that slightly unstable feel and you really do feel like you are floating brother. I think that those 105 should’ve been called “cloud wheels”. I am damn near about to replace my grip tape with carpet and hang some tassels off the corners.
One more note , I just joined the community and it is such as strong as ever and I think subliminally that’s one of the reasons why I joined. I am a strong believer in recycling, and the company is good as boosted should not be thrown away.
You should buy a mini x next
I was thinking about that. I’ve been looking on Facebook market place as well as eBay for a decent priced mini x.. don’t know if I want to spend $1k on a new one from BOOSTED USA, though..?

Go on eBay and search for “Boosted Board”. Their is someone always selling theirs! Just make sure to look at prices before you buy. So many ppl like to over price their boards because they are discontinued.
Check out BoostedUSA.com & TheBoostedGuys.com, besides parts, they might have some BOOSTED boards in their inventory on their website still.
The best thing to know is that the community is strong and innovative. There are ppl right now working on building better parts that you will or might need in the future to keep these boards running for life! If your board breaks you can always get it repaired too! So, you’ll never have to worry about missing out on a part you might eventually need or not being able to ride your board again.
Unfortunately, at this point in time I’m not selling any of my boards. If I do I’ll make a video on it so be on the look out!
I use them continually on a rotating basis or when I ride I have a few boards my friends or family can use so I don’t have to ride alone.
There’s also a lot of different eskate companies out there like Exway, Evolve, & Meepo who have quality eboards too!
However, if you’re looking to purchase a BOOSTED board do your research on them, make sure you’re getting a good price too!
I think I’ll make a video soon that might help people know what to look for and where to go 🤔.

I think you should keep it. I mean when we get something new and nice we want to make it perfect but more scratches will eventually happen. I try to not worry to much about things like that

Like a fresh pair of shoes, I don’t what to see scuff marks on them when I take them out the box. I want to be the one who scuffs them up. 🤙🏽

I know, it's been half a year, since you made the video and I know from the comment, that you've kept it. In all honesty .. your chances of getting another board are zero or near to zero. So you made a wise choice to keep it.
I agree with you. I was able to buff out the scratches. I was just a little upset with BoostedUSA because I paid top dollar for this Boosted Stealth without any of the perks and insurance that the original Boosted company would have given its buyers.
I also had to wait months from ordering to receiving the Boosted Stealth. So, when I unboxed the board and it was flawed I was disappointed. However, I gave my honest experience throughout the unboxing and over-view.
The one major reason I kept the Boosted was because I knew that these boards are not being made any longer and all that was left was being sold until the last of them were "Sold Out". I figured I'll attempt to buff out the scratches and keep the board. I have plans to film a new vlog (coming soon) on my upgrades that I'll be making to this particular Stealth. As of today, it's getting harder to find and purchase a new board. I can't find a Stealth on the market any longer.. you might be able to build your own board but people will eventually never have the experience of unboxing an original Boosted. That's one of the reasons I wanted to document it. 🤙

@@Marlow925 Agreed. They’re even selling parts at high prices. It’s because at the moment the stock is low & nobody is making anything new because of “Pattern Laws”. However, there is hope! There are innovative ppl in the community who are creating aftermarket parts that will be massive upgrades to BOOSTED like batteries & remotes. It might take a year or more but they’re coming!
I’m thinking of making a video on selecting the right Boosted (used) & parts too!

+Strictly NICk :P 😆 haha! I’m a little bit OCD. Especially when it comes to the scratches that are on a $1600 (dollar) Boosted Board I waited to be delivered since back in February 2021.
However, strange enough… my messy rooms are organized chaos. I’d know exactly where everything is regardless.
Just curious, I’m planning also to buy boosted board. Are they allowed to carry the board inside of Walmart, Mall, Grocery Store, and etc.? TIA
Hi JIMWELL, Thank you for the comment. 1st off, if you are planning on purchasing a BOOSTED board check out eBay. You may find I lightly used BOOSTED for way cheaper there. I've purchased a couple of my BOOSTED V2's and V3 there for between $250-$600 and they all still work well. The RLOF (Red Light Of Death) on some BOOSTED batteries can be fixed for about $150 now a days. So, having battery issues can be resolved easily.
The rest of the maintenance like replacing belts, bearings, wheels, etc are something you'll need to learn how to do over time.
As for allowing to carry BOOSTED inside of places like Walmart, Grocery stores, etc.. I live in Florida, so I can only speak on my area and location. I'm not sure about other cities or States.
However, I've never had an issue carrying my BOOSTED inside any of these places. I don't cruise on it while inside the store though. The only one issue i run into is the weight of carrying the board around. You're looking at carrying around a 15-18 pound BOOSTED board around the store. There are backpacks that can carry the board as you walk around which I do most of the time.
In this vlog I just "kick-pushed" and/or "mall grabbed" my BOOSTED around Walmart while holding my camera which was a little difficult but I wanted to get a 1st person shot for those clips.
But, to answer your question. I've never had stores give me any issues having my electric skateboard with me as I shopped. You can alway put your BOOSTED in a shopping cart too and push it around (which I've done). I hope this comment helped.

Be honest with you I know I'm watching this video late. I would send it back but buffing it out don't hurt. If you can do it with a like a small machine but I don't think that's possible? I would give my money back or get it replacement.

After applying a compound paste and a few applications of the scratch remover again.. the scratches are non visible.
I felt as if it was important to document the experience of unboxing the last of the “new” BOOSTED Stealth’s left in market for the general consumer. Hopefully they fixed the loose plug issue creating the issue…?

I just got my mini x from them but have a battery issue. How long did it take for them to get back to you?
+Eric Jung Hi 👋🏽.. it’s important to plug in your battery and let it charge for about 24 hours before you use it. This will hopefully allow your battery cells to balance properly.
To answer your question, it took them about 45-60 minutes before I got a notification email from them. It was mid afternoon when I contacted them (were I live. Florida)
They’re on the west coast so it’s a 3 hours difference in time zones if you’re on the East coast like I am. So make sure their shop is open.
If you just purchased a new or refurbished mini I believe they give you 60 days to report any issues and they should work with you to fix the issue. If however, you bought one of their “used” boards (cheapest) I’m not sure they have warranties included.

+Fresh Lovin’ your name “Fresh”. Hey! Thank you for the comment and for watching. Before you go and spend a lot of money $1000 (plus) on a brand new Boosted Board.. Make sure to look on eBay 1st.. most times you can find BOOSTED Boards in REALLY good condition for cheap. The batteries (RLOD) are the biggest problems with these boards so be careful.. However, for about $150 you can get your RLOD battery fixed. I added links in my description to websites that you can buy parts from OR fix your batteries. Be careful though, people on eBay do jack their prices up to stupid amounts for parts and accessories.. shop around. However, there are people who keep their prices respectable. Make it a great day 🤙🏽

I pull inspiration from CZcamsrs like Casey Neistat, Maxx Chewning, Jamie O’Brien, YBS (Brodie Moss), OmarGosh, Peter McKinnon & Christian Guzman (shoutout Nabil). I am also inspired by movie directors like Quintin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Scorsese, Coppola & Kubrick.
Just like any form of art whether it be music or film.. everyone pulls inspiration from someone. Casey’s inspiration came from Werner Herzog, Wes Anderson and the great Spike Jonez.
There’s nothing new under the sun. Everyone is inspired by Someone who influenced their creativity. I’m sure you + everyone else copy’s someone’s style.. from the way you dress to the music you listen to, the artist you admire or even the movies you watch. Everyone is influenced by someone or something.
I’m just a guy who isn’t afraid to film, edit and upload my work.
Opinions are subjective and I know putting my style of work out there will always see criticism. It’s just part of being a CZcams creator.
