The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is an excellent tablet for the price, but there are some things you need to know before you pick one up. Depending on what you plan on doing with this #samsung tablet d, I actually think it’s underrated - and I don’t know if there is a glitch or something, but the deal that I’ll show you later on is too good to pass up on.
The #samsungtabs7 is a fantastic piece of hardware, delivers outstanding performance, we’ve got a really nice display, excellent speakers, versatile biometric authentication, and some really nice multitasking capabilities. I
In my #TabS7 Plus review a lot of users asked me what One UI version I’m using because I forgot to mention it - and for both I’m using 3.1.

What's up everyone?! I hope this review of the Samsung Tab S7 was helpful. Did I cover what you wanted to know? What else did you want to see or learn about.
Is this a tablet you would use? Why or why not?
Ouch, you provided this link a day too late. I JUST bought the 128gb S7+ for $670. It should be arriving tomorrow.
I've been watching a lot of reviews about these 2 tablets, including your videos and comparisons. I'm happy to report you certainly helped me make the purchase.
I admit, I will most likely just use it for media consumption and some drawing, but that huge SAMOLED screen absolutely drew me to it. I personally have no use for a laptop, having quite the desktop as my workhorse, but I've been wanting a portable screen for all my light work and entertainment needs for a while. I bought a basic $350 iPad for my girlfriend 2 years ago, and I always felt a bit jealous when I saw her lie down and watch Netflix so comfortably with it. I'm just not much of a TV guy, even if I have a 55" OLED panel almost exlclusively for my Switch and Disney+ (lol), and sitting on my PC monitor all night is a big no-no for my back.
I originally wanted an iPad, since I still consider them to be the go-to choice for tablets, but the 16:10 aspect ratio of the S7+, that honestly stupid big battery, that beautiful screen, the included S-Pen, along with all the goodies that come with Android on the user experience side made me gravitate towards Samsung.
Here's hoping that my 28 average youtube hours watched will be a treat on it. Thanks for the videos!
Did you try on gaming? Genshin impact and other games feels pixelated and blurry on my tab s7. Kinda regret it.
@@erwinromelv.turqueza9670 I did, and I felt just as disappointed. Genshin Impact has these weird stutters every time something happens (at all graphics presets), and even on High Render Resolution it looks both blurry and pixelated, somehow. Other games look a lot better, and take advantage of the resolution fully. Do note, however, that I tested some old paid games from my library, and virtually none of the modern games with battle passes and such. Steam Link was a tad laggy but looked and worked great, and my Switch Pro Controller and Xbox Elite 2 both connected via bluetooth wonderfully. I might test some emulators a bit later.
I don't regret it because I didn't get it for gaming. It's been an absolute treat for reading, sketching, and consuming content like a madman in general. Battery life has been 12.5 hours on average, too.
Got mine last week. And i really love it
comparison in screen and battery life to the S6.... is a used-market S6 a better deal (and a better screen)?
Casually watching a video about the device I'm using, man I love this thing.
Have you ever had any issues with apps looking like poorly resized phone apps? Would you recommend this tablet if I intend to use it mostly for media (youtube, Netflix, facebook, etc), sometimes for note-taking, Word, Excel?
@@1Arsitup1 there is no issues with app sizing to my knowledge, and I don't recommend it for just media, as even for the stuff I run barely runs half way through the amount of power it has. You can try the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 8.0, I had the 2015 model and it has a decent screen and good enough hardware for YT, Facebook, etc. You can also look for lightly used, the customer support for Samsung can help too. If you have any more questions just ask :)
About Word, depends, if you want to use split screen then, possibly.
@@1Arsitup1 no issues at all^^
@@Wertyhappy27 it's perfect for media (Netflix etc) what planet are you on?
@@alexsherel3344 You can get a much cheaper device, with weaker hardware, and still get the same resolution

Super grateful, Omar 🙏
Agreed!
Display your name more though, wasn't sure how to spell it first :)
Agreed! These reviews are awesome!
I knew within the first 30 seconds you were a great reviewer - Organized and straight to the point.
Providing examples of types of apps different people my use and how they compare to the iPadOS version, was very helpful and an example of something a lot of tablet tech reviewers gloss over.
Excellent review, one of the best that I've seen in a while!!!! Your details really give the consumer all he/she needs to make a choice of what's important in their buying decision!! You're the best!!
I really enjoyed the way you reviewed this. Everything's clear, complete, and you're not rude. I have seen other people who reviewed this on CZcams and found them a tad bit intense especially when they brought up a few issues pertaining to the tab. Thanks for the awesome review.
A great, informative, and well presented review.
Thanks for the thorough review! Have you tried other keyboards with the S7?
Great review. I like the time codes and the facts vs opinions style
You provide some of the best presentations on CZcams. Great job.
Just bought a S7 with 512gb from best buy thanks to your review. I have a 22 hour road trip this summer and need something other than my phone or laptop to watch my movies on. Great review.
I just recently acquired this and I must admit that the SPen is what sold me this product. I use it for work and I just love it
Thank you very much for this insightful, comprehensive and excellent review. I am definitely getting this Tab S7. Thank you very much!
You are the best reviewer, keep it up man!
Great review. Very comprehensive. Can you please tell me what app you are using at 4:14? Thank you
Great review. Thorough yet straight to the point.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for being part of the channel!
I'm glad you review tablets on top of everything else! I recently got the S7+ and it's impressive! It is a bit cumbersome though, so I should have went with the S7. The S pen is great and can actually replace a real notepad. I'm not keen on the keyboard so third party cases are fine for me. It's been years since I've had a tablet and they're almost at a point of laptop replacements. It's amazing how far tablets has advanced!
It's been fun adding these to the mix. I completely agree that these tablets have progressed so much!
I’m currently considering updating my ageing iPad Air1, I like the look of the S7, it’s large memory and upgradeable storage option and of course DEX, plus as my phone is a Galaxy S8, so it would make sense from a compatibility POV. However when looking at apps I find Android is lacking especially where photo editing is concerned, as that’s something I’d like to do also.
What are my main requirements? Web Browsing, watching video content, email with some word processing and of course photo editing. I’m also considering purchasing a slim laptop, I like the Dell XPS range but then the price just balloons in comparison.
If I only looked at what I’ve been using my old iPad Air for, then upgrading to the latest iPad Gen9 would cover it I guess but watching this review got me thinking.
Thanks, your reviews are clear and to the point and without any faff.
Edit : Since I posted this I bought the new iPad 9.
Hey, great video as always, I am big fan of yours. Just a quick question if you can put light on it in your next video, I purchased Tab S7+ a couple of weeks back with a book cover. A fantastic productivity for office work and Coorindation of things. I was trying to get the good lock app, but as per my understand it is only limited to US users. Any idea how to get it in our tablet outside the US please?
I really can't wait to use mine. I'm picking up my tab S7 either today or tomorrow and I'm really excited.
CONGRATS!!! Definitely swing by and let me know how it works out!
@@TechGearTalk Definitely!
How was it?
@Campain 2002 Best decision I have made. I rarely use my Ipad pro 2017 model. kinda makes me want to do new
things with the device. I know a new IPad pro is supposed to debut soon, but I feel that I've moved on with the tab s7.
@@THenry12 What can you tell of your experience with the Tab S7 so far? Would you recommend it? I only intend to use it for basic stuff like Facebook, youtube, Netflix, Word, Excel, etc etc.
I'm a college student, and I have a very good laptop, but I would like to take a more portable device with me to campus instead of my big laptop. My only concern with the Tab S7 is the OS; many apps aren't fully optimized for Android tablets let alone a bigger screen (some say apps just look like poorly resized phone apps). Have you run into any issues regarding this?
I'd appreciate it if you reply. It would be of much help.
Very informative and helpful video! Was on the fence about getting an S7 but I think you convinced me. Now I just have to decide if I want to go with my original choice and get the Mystic Navy in 256GB, or go for the Black in order to get the 512GB at the same price. LOL
Awesome review! I also made a video yesterday. It's a review on the budget tablet I use personally. Anyways, tab s7 still too pricey for me especially here in the Philippines 😅
Great video! Thank you! My S pen tip is bent what would you recommend for a good replacement?

Thanks for your good review! May I know if the book cover/case is a smart case? Meaning when close will turn S7 to sleep mode and when open will immediately wakes it up? Thanks for your reply.
Can you do a comparison video on tablets like this and higher-end Chromebooks? Particularly the Tab S7 and + with a Samsung Chromebook Pro like I have, which is a 2-in-1 design.
So I actually use the Wacom bamboo one pen on the tab 7. Love that pen! Everything works except Bluetooth functions.
I've been wishing for an s7 for so long! Not really that long. But I hope I can get one soon.
I just got the +7 variant and I absolutely love it just wish they kept the same size as the tab s7. Also the S7+ has a in screen fingerprint sensor
CONGRATS!!! I LOVE my S7+ czcams.com/video/i932_wdDp6E/video.html Thanks for being part of the channel!
I have both of these right now and think that the button fingerprint sensor on the S7 works faster and is less fussy. I also found the S7+ to be enormous. If I just used it to watch movies, that would be fine. (I timed it in at a hair over 10 hours battery streaming HD video) . However, it is too damn big. When I put it next to my mother's brand new 2021 XPS13, it was roughly the same size. And I just can't see the point in owning a tablet that is the same size and roughly the same battery life as a laptop. I have an 2021 XPS13 2-in-1 on the way with i7, 32gb ram though my company IT department is still slowly working on getting it done. I just can't understand why I would also carry a tablet that was the same size. Though if I carried the tablet without the keyboard, it would be a different story. It is super thin without the keyboard -- or it would be until I drop and break it because it is too big to hold in a hand. And without a case, I can't prop it up to watch video.
The AMOLED display is supurb. I wish I had nabbed the plus that was on clearance for $270 a month ago.
@@jessicamann684 You have to press your finger just right while taking the fingerprint and once successfully done its instant Al's turning off power saving on the reader makes it faster and helps
@@SK-mi5qv it is large enough. I can do real work on it (limited only by the limits of android which are actually very limiting.) The keyboard is cramped. But that is to be expected. The plus (including keyboard ) is the size of an xps13 laptop. Just buy a laptop or chrome book.
Getting this recommended after ordering the s7 11 inch a couple of hours ago makes me feel I made the right choice haha

what is that silver Bluetooth keyboard in the video you are using? It looks sharp with the S7 Tablet!
I have the S7+ plus and use Artflow for art as the main competitor to procreate. I like creating my own brushes as well.
But as far as vector drawing, adobe photoshop sketch is great for that. Also, interestingly enough, I use Autodesk Ink for vector drawing but that's not on my S7+ but is on my Google Pixel Slate 🤔

So I have the S7 for Colleague in Germany (If this is Impportant) for I think now 3-4 weeks in the Semester final sprint.
120 Hz is nice but for me, i don't really care so I change it to 60 hz for Battery life, I also changed the battery saving mode (100% is shown but its actually 85%) I have PTSD from my Iphone 6 battery xD.Still the Battery while going Full on safe mode it holds a whole online colleague day (6-8 hours)
Writing is Awsome , its my first tablet with writing function but it feels great, learning is for me much more easier why? at least in my case all the profs. use 600-1100 big PDF Pages with statistics or Diagramm they write on. I can Audio record the lesson that streams on my PC over my Speakers while writing the stuff that the prof says (The Downside is that you need to be as fast as him and sometimes they think they are eminem or some other doubletime rapper. Also you record all other stuff happening around you so coughing, laughing, sneezing, singing, farting you will hear it and sometimes cringe away or get totally jumpscared because its suddenly an earrape)and can go back to the time he said something I didn't understand in one go. Most of the people I know use Apple but that is no Problem when you don't wanna sell your ass for the newest IPad so I sold only my half ass for this tablet. Google Drive no Problems, Audio very nice, Kamera is good, Gaming? I don't Play on my Tablet.
I bought it with the Keyboard and its nice but this Screenshot key top left beside Backspace gets me Salty everytime specially when I'm already writing afterwards.
Also I bought a secruity Glass, its good writing works with no problems, I think it's with the extra resistance in the pen a bit better and thus comes closer to conventional Paper. But the magnet that holds the keyboard and tablet together is now weaker.
All in all I can recommend if you have enough money or are willingly to sell your half ass off (Like lets be real 599-699 € Its hella expensive).
10/10 Would recommend while typing this I made accedently 5 screenshots.
Great review
Thanks so much!
At 7:30 there are ways to fix app issues but some just won't work. If you go to the galaxy store and install good lock there are options inside that can force apps to go split view and make an app be the right direction that ur using ur tablet in. For twitter and Instagram (possibly other apps to) you can go onto the web one using chrome and install the web app to ur device using the three dots and clicking install app or add to home screen and will fix the app being stretched :)
I can confirm. This tablet us amazing. Runs Dreamcast and PS2 roms easily. Wii games would run at 20fps tho
I really love watching stuff I can't afford

While the tablet size difference on the iPad Pro is very noticeable, I think the Samsung S7 Plus is not that large and portability is not an issue. That's the only point I kind of disagree with you, but overall LOVE your content; clean, no BS, straight to the point and informative. Keep it up man.
If any of you are into hooking your Tablet into a PC Monitor or TV, the Samsung S7/7+/S6/S5e/S6lite can enable Dex mode that will perform a desktop-like interface and fit the fullscreen of whatever monitor or tv you use turing your Samsung tablet into a sort-of desktop computer where you can turn the Samsung tablet screen off but continue using the PC Monitor or TV to navigate the tablet's browser and apps. I've tried to same with an iPad but Apple only enables screen mirroring, which is a shame since my 16:9 PC Monitor and TV will only mirror the 4:3 ratio of the ipad, leaving alot of empty black bezels whenever I hook up the ipad through HDMI to another screen. Not alot of people do this but its something to mention if you're in the market for an Apple or Samsung tablet.
Great vid sagi💯💯 drop a quick suggestion the ipad air 4 vs the tab S7 base model. Ik there is some price difference but performance is edge to edge will def like to see a comparison

Thanks for this perfect video. I'm planning to use s7 tablet for my work rutine while on the move. I mostly use Microsoft rdp for my work. Did you try to send chacters like pipe(|) over rdp windows with hardware keyboard that you use?
The new microsoft RDP client is pretty good. The the only problematic thing is that it doesn't understand right click. There apparently isn't a native right click thing in Android to pass through.

Your reviews are top notch and very very informative with easily understandable tactics. Now my question is, I'm a iphone user and want to buy tablet....as i know this s7 tablet is very good and very reasonable price as compared to ipad pro. But my main concern is it good for me buy android while using iphone as they not configured with each other due to different software platforms or to live in two different softwares. So glad they are helpful and thank you for the kind words. This comparison is coming in a couple of days!
Let me know what you think when you see it. My guess is that you'll want the iPad Air 4 because of the ecosystem - but that only makes sense if you plan on using the ecosystem.
Thank you for this video! Note that the cellular model restricts you to the 128 GB model; that's why I stuck with the Wi-Fi only model for my Tab S7+.
Appreciate you watching and contributing to the community!
Would this be durable enough to last 4 years for graduate school? Or would the new iPad mini 6 be a better option durability wise. I know they’re pretty much entirely different tablets but still :p
Ok so with the screens regardless of battery size, is it true that I can get a better battery life out of the s7 over the plus because of the screen?
Other than some apps, much better than iPad. And dex makes it a productivity powerhouse. I use the Logitech K380 keyboard and a mouse and good to go. The S pen is great to use.
I have used both pens but enjoy the Samsung one more, I also like the Samsung notes app
Thank you for sharing. Samsung Notes app is fantastic!
I ended up getting the Air 4 but it was a toss up. The S7 is an awesome device that would also have served me well. Both these tablets can replace laptops for most people. One thing I wish Samsung would do is switch to a 3 by 2 aspect ratio. It was not part of my decision but after using it I really prefer it now over 16 by 9. Even though I did not choose it I would recommend the S7 to anyone.
I did the same opposite because of Dex and Air Command.
That is because of the laptop view coming in
I’m confused about the iPad mini 6 and samsung tab s8. Would you recommend this for me?

I really love my Tab S7. It is so functional!
Hi! I need to use word, Adobe reader/editor, browser, Google docs all at the same time. Does the S7 have any problem with any of those apps?
What annoys me most about android tablets is that people have become accustomed to Apple's con-job of selling different apps for phone and tablet to hide the limitations of iOS at the time and lazy app developers used that as an excuse to not design their interfaces properly. Meanwhile Android had no problem working with any display size and Google developed their design guide for app developers that would allow any app to work perfectly on any screen size but a lot couldn't be bothered and just did lazy iOS ports meaning they didn't scale properly leading people to believe Android didn't have "tablet" apps.
I have an iPad and although I love it I feel a little limited? I don't know I just want to use Android quite a lot after this great video!!
Get a old samsung tab maby 2years old
Same here. I have an iPad and Tab S7 but I use the S7 more because iPad is very limited software wise
How's the color accuracy on samsung tablets? I plan to use lightroom on a tablet for fuji raw files and I'm contemplating between tab s4 or iPad pro 11. I heard that editing in Samsung tablets are saturated, thus, making it hard to edit your raw photos for true color.
For someone who is looking at this tablet primarily for media consumption, the everyday things what spec would be best recommended? Is the plus with the AMOLED screen a must?
if you're only consuming media 128 is enough. The AMOLED on the PLUS is amazing, but I wouldn't call it "a must" See this: czcams.com/video/i932_wdDp6E/video.html Thanks for being part of the channel!

I bought one a few days ago, was able to transfer all my stuff from a previous tablet easily but I'm finding the battery not lasting longer than 6 hours. I've disabled or uninstalled the bloat I'm not using. Have accepted all the battery saving features and am hoping this will get me more time.
It's smooth and I love the pen except when I lose it unintentionally. It gets knocked off from its magnetic grip easily. I'm still getting used to the functions I need.
I had to pay $980 Au for 128 gig with a cover but no keyboard or Bluetooth audio headsets. I did buy an audio adaptor which plugs into the power charge port..... what a pain since I have to pull it out to charge and it's very tight. I don't want to wreck the port. Will get blue tooth ear buds.
All in all it's been an expensive exercise but I think I'll like the tablet if I can get the battery to give me more than my old unit.
You can change it to 60hz for apps that dont use 120, and lowering brightness will really help battery life
