Loving your videos mate, new to the channel - I too have a F30 330d 64 plate estroil blue, bought in June 2020 so car prices were down due to pandemic got it for a great price with only 22k on the clock with Pro nav, pan roof, heated seats, cream leather, electric memory seats and front/rear sensors, just wish I had the HK sound system! car is now on 60k and still goes like a champ! it's definitely a sleeper it's surprised a few petrol heads and little racers in their fiesta or focus ST.. definitely going to look at a stage 1 next year.. need my alloys refurbing too!
Hello mate nice video! I have 2016 330d for 3 years now and i could not agree more with you on some points such as: start stop button is the second thing i press after i start the engine :). I have 18's as well which i paid 650£ for a set of 4(goodyear) - rough ride and you must inform the insurance should you want to swap them for normal tyres. i had 0 issues with the car (bought it on 55 k now on 93k). Serviced every 10k ignoring the stupid bmw suggestion. This month will be the first time when i will put money on it as it goes in for full service, ZF gearbox oil and filter change, new m sport discs and pads and second egr cooler recall(that will be free of charge). This car has never ever being revved over 2000rpm when cold. I consider doing stage 1 and gearbox map afterwards. The only thing it has had since almost new i've been told is the slight play of the steering rack which i never felt but my garage advised to leave it as it is. Overall - that is the best car i've ever had. Best regards :)
I had power kit fitted to mine because I wanted the front disc upgrade and Sytner had put me off a remap saying they got a lot in with issues like exhaust faults. I did feel a difference with the extra 28bhp but obviously a remap would be double that. I've got 19's and pro nav so bigger screen but updating every year is expensive but I have to be honest 18's are better for country roads I always feel the 19's are a bit cumbersome and not as agile. Are you getting the spoilers etc
I've seen a video about the handbrake cable clip breaking above the prop shaft where it attaches to the fuel tank, worth having a look for the rattle/knock noise 👍
The speaker system. The cheapest way i found was to replace the front and back with Kicker 4" coaxial speakers. Will add more clarity and treble without the bass going high and low. I then unplugged the underseat sub which arents subs, theyre a speaker in a box that sound distorted. I bought a cheap amplified underseat sub and wired it up under passenger seat. Sounds alot better and cost roughly £120 all in.
I had 19s on my F30, not great, easily curbed, they were diamond cut and corroded, refurb lasted 6 months and corroded again. Switched to a G20 with 18s much more comfortable. The only benefit of 19s is the look, otherwise they are easily damaged, tyres cost more, and fuel efficiency is worse.
Got a black 2013. 310 Remap straight away. Transfered my 19s from e92 330d (put the 18s on that), refurb wheels dark metal, tints, splitter, rear lip. About 2 years ago. Thinking bout dpf delete or turbo hose kit to spice up again... Not sure
I'm torn between 320 or 330d, Right now I have a 118d. Either one will be better. I'm doing 5k a year in mileage. Any suggestions? I know much more power with the 330d
Hi mate loved the video! Very extensive info :). Just wanted a bit of advice, i’m looking to get a f30 330d as well, this one is msport+ pack and is at 80k miles and 1 owner since new. Have seen a lot about dpf/egr issues, do you think i’d be likely to run into any dpf issues considering i’d have at least 2-3 long motorway journeys a month? Usual city commute would be about 10 miles but on the mway it’d be 120 miles round trip. Many thanks!
I have 2015 330d gt and have a knock in the back too when driving over a pothole or a bigger bump. Really annoying and can't find what it is, suspension was checked and all good
Absolutely love the f30 I have 2 major quibbles first one who oh why did bmw decided to put se suspension on the 35d its something I Need to change ASAP and secondly the lack of steering feel, but tbh the lack of feel is across 98% of cars theses days as a move away from hydraulic
First 3 i changed on mine, got my carly app and adapter and coded start stop to always be off. Changed my tyres to standard ones after getting new alloys less chance of them cracking. And got a tyre slime kit and compressor in the boot. And 3 brought a 10.25 screen from ali express as my car didn't have satnav. Was only £210 and the one i chose doesn't run its own android so it wont outdate, its all done through your phone, or u can use the standard interface and has android auto and apple car play. Oh ya i got 19's aswell
I'm on the 19s and they actually seem ok, but then I did recently switch from an E90, albeit with non-run-flats (which I'll deffo consider in future, but I'll try living with them for a while first). I agree the standard speakers are just about adequate and not really suited to music lovers.
Just found your channel as I looking into get f30 330d in the next few months

I bought a 330e and wish I got a 330d the mpg on mine is shite. It drinks more than an Irish lad in a free bar

you can get stop start coded with carly or bimmercode to remember to keep it off

What screen are you upgrading to? It's my beef with the car too

Love the videos thinking of getting a 330d but most come with high mileage this puts me off a little any advice
