Let's Drive: 1998 Eclipse GS-T

For the second addition to the let's drive series I get to cruise around in my good friend Austin's eclipse. This thing is an absolute blast to drive and is super clean. You don't see too many clean 2G eclipses anymore.

I was in high school in 99. My buddy parents bought him a 97 gst. I loved it ever since. Living in cali and tainted by fast and furious I spent 10 years to find mine. Bone stock red 98 gst with 107k, documents and loved by 2 previous owner. When I picked it up, it still had the new car smell.

Car is timeless. Looks good no matter what. Clean paint and some nice mags, lower it a little and it's a gorgeous car. Hell leave it bone stock and keep it clean and it's a beautiful car!

Great car btw!!!!! I love the Barcelona Red 2G. I had a 97 GS with NOS that I brought new in 97. I returned it back to stock and brought a late 99 GST new in 98 and have owned it since. I remember when Mitsubishi announced they were chagning the body style and not making any more turbo model Eclipses. The dealers around my area would come of them for nothing, there was price gouging everywhere. I found the car I wanted and waited until the 2000 model came out and brought my GST on sale...lol...I would mind having another Barcelona 2G though.
