5500 is a steal!!! These cars are going up. I’m looking for one clean and stock and I sold about 15k in company stock just to buy one. Waiting for the right one to come around, 98-99 GSX. I had one back in 2002, with a 91 six bolt and a 20g turbo w/support mods. Really miss having one. Won’t be my daily but just an addition to my collection for nostalgic reasons.

I'm gonna get ARP head studs, mls head gasket, coil overs, boost controller and bigger turbo and intercooler of course. I love this car. My brother has an rs with the 420a. It has nothing on my GST
I just got a 1998 eagle talon tsi awd with 98k on the clock for 8500 and the top trim with everything.. It is in such good condition. The bank only valued it at 1900. I googled classic car finance and jj best bank came up. I called them and they financed my car. They were so awesome.

I think you should keep it how it is. It is in such great conditions and I would definitely buy it 😍. I personally own a 97 gsx and poured 8k to rebuilt it and after I painted it and tested the new tune I had a car accident so that was a disappointed. I'm getting my car back this month and I cant wait to drive my dream car once again

I would say Honda is much cheaper but Eclipse is rare. I get alot of looks in this car. I see Hondas everywhere. It all depends on your end goal and budget.
Do you think a '96 eclipse GS at 2500$ is worth it? it's 5 speed manual and its the 4g63 engine, it currently hat 130000. miles on it, it's the exact same color as yours. where i am you can't drive unless you're 18, and i thought about saving up for this car, and i personally love the second gen eclipse, it's not exactly powerful at 140hp, and it looks awesome, especially in my country where everyone drives boring cars.

That's alot of miles. The engine will need probably all belts and gaskets and filters replaced. If the body is in good shape it's worth 1500-1800. 2500 is too much to ask with that many miles being a gs. If it was gst or gsx yes worth 2500+.
I'm stupid. I'd rather pay someone. Cars off the road still getting engine rebuild. That's why I haven't posted in a long time. Should be ready by springtime fingers crossed.

Sitting for the winter. Gonna replace the bov, figure out an electrical bug going on, then gonna get retuned on a dyno this time. Been road tuning it last few years. Might go back to maf or map, on speed density now and I don't like the response.
People think because they dump tons of money into these cars it makes the value go up, in reality most enthusiast want them to be factory when they buy one, all the loud mufflers etc take away from the value most times and usually someone like myself looking for one would not buy one that has been modified because most times it has had the hell drove out of it by a younger inexperienced person, not always but a lot of time ..yes.. I agree NADA does not represent real market value but that it what they will loan if someone does not have the cash.
What the hell are you doing? If you keep shifting the transmission like that you're going to blow your transmissions. You are NOT supposed to move the shifter while the car is in motion, those lower gear holds are for unique situations like snow. Having owned 8 Mitsubishi including a 2g, 3g, 4g, 3g in that order and doing all mechanical work on them myself I'm telling you, straight up, you're going to destroy your transmission, thats guaranteed. Oh and Overdrive is ONLY for passing, thats why it'll shut itself off.
Transmission has been rebuilt to handle 700ish hp, I'm currently no where near it maybe 350-425 range...haven't had it dyno in a while. Engine got rebuilt, bigger turbo, bigger injectors...etc..
Cars almost there now, just trying to figure out an electrical issue. Replaced alternator with a more powerful one, and battery but still low voltage, headlights dim but get brighter when I floor it.
@@mgersey82 I'd be curious to hear all about how this transmission is "built", regardless you're not supposed to be doing that bro I promise you. The part you're probably look to for your electrical issue is a Voltage Regulator, replace that and it'll probably take care of the issue.
Crying about an automatic?? Im 72 yrs old. Im sick of shifting. Especially holding the clutch on an incline. Had Hurst 4 speed in 68 charger,old BMW,etc. Ill take automatic any day

If you still have the yellow overspray, try a Mister Clean magic eraser. You might have to polish the paint after the rubbing.

Grab a decal delete wheel from 3m sold at advanced auto or orielys. It will remove the road paint and not cause any damage to the factory paint

I’d clay bar and compound. Go slow and check how it reacts. You may have to play w speed and amount of compound.

I don’t think it’s worth it to fix the side skirt. It won’t rust so I’d just use touch up paint

Not if u put 500hp in it like mine. Mines getting a rebuilt transmission from buescher racing put in as we speak because I killed my stock one.

Also the OD shut off because the trans went, hence the rebuild.
