- With the Google Assistant’s interpreter mode, you can now easily communicate with your customers -- even if you don’t speak the same language. Interpreter mode translates 29 languages in real-time to help businesses have free flowing conversations with their guests at hotels, airports, customer service desks, organizations aiding humanitarian efforts and more.

If only google translate was this accurate for all the languages.
To be honest google getting better in translating languages... maybe in the future we can understand all languages without learning it
@Tom Sot Hier Its known for being accurate but there is no *translator competition* to prove that it;s better than translate
It is using google translate only in the backend. 😑😑😑😑
Google translates my mother language (Bengali) just fine. The translation used to be quite bad back in the days
It actually made a mistake at the end of the video, pretty acurate showing their mistales even on publicity

Not really.
But when you try to translate Japanese: RIP you
Let me guess, you've never learnt another language nor interpreted someone?
Basically, what Google did is translate. Interpreters does not necessarily only translate literally what the speaker says but they also pick up certain contexts and subtle nuances to interpret the message as accurately as possible.
@@JohnAeronCaiga And natural language processing will only get better to do the same.

Nope i've used it surprisingly i only had to say it once lol
Nope, it works well
Google's voice detection has always been pretty spot on for me
dedicated google home speakers are actually pretty good at picking up voices near or far, noisy or quiet.
The receptionist: Hi How can I help you?

Perfecto
I love how they portray it as being this easy to use 😂
It does actually. It's already available on most Android phones. Just say, "Okay Google, help me speak German". And the translator automatically pops up to translate both sides of the conversation.
It works that easy.. I used it a couple of times on my Android phone
Yes its not that accurate till date but as more people gonna use this feature, there will be more accurate results.
It works that well. Especially with good device's with good microphones like Google Pixel phones or Google Home device's. It's all about how you speak and how far away are you from the microphones. Speak normally as you would to the person in a normal pitch voice. Don't yell or talk super loud. Talk at a normal speed as well. Talking to fast or to slow doesn't help at all.
I used Russian and Ukrainian to English. Both work, Russian better. Perhaps not that easy when in a noisy environment.
Well done, Now i guest my boss doesn't need my services anymore. 😁

@@seanpwilburn Google already trains their machine learning algorithm by using the free translations that people do in the Google Translate Community. They might be using some professionals too but once it has been trained to translate a language properly, there's not much use of a translator.

You're being recorded 24/7
The fact that this works is scary. Imagine watching a CZcams video and next thing that happens is someone in the video saying "Hey Google, send my entire browser history to my family and friends".
There seriously needs some proper voice verification. (Also the fact of putting a 24/7 listening device controlled by proprietary software into your house…)
@@GeckoEidechse I mean there is a mute switch
@@GeckoEidechse Google Home can't even access your personal data unless if you enable voice recognition so unless if that youtube video has a recording of your own voice saying that exact phrase it can't happen, if a random tries to ask a personal question it answers something along the lines of set up voice match in the app.
Also just I tested with mine and it can't even read out or send stuff like browsing data, it can however delete voice searches made on google home
Just tried it on my Google home, it works quite well
