Your music lacks authenticity, creativity, and originality…These are the three criteria that members of the Grammy’s voting committee look for in a given song…Ghanaian songs clearly don’t meet any the criteria that I just mentioned….Ghanaians artistes will never win Grammys with Reggae/dancehall music because reggae and dancehall music belong to Jamaica…Rocky Dawumi has been trying for years…Ghanaian artistes will never win Grammys with rap music because rap music belongs to United States….You must find your own musical identity and stick with it if ever wish to win the Grammys…You guys have been talking about this same issues for years without making any sensible changes…Nigerians don’t have time to sit around to discuss unimportant things, we make smart moves because we believe in our products….

When will Ghana understand that *_music is not a national competition._*
Grammy does *_not_* nominate artists on national quota.
There are at least eight Nigerian artists that didn’t get a nomination who are far more worthy of a nomination than any Ghanian artist, yet they are not pulling their hairs out.

*The biggest insult is that Nigeria buys its success.*
It is only Ghana that spews this kind of nonsense.
We know it is difficult for some Ghana commentators to acknowledge the talent, hard work and quality production of Nigerian artists. They constantly attribute this success to everything from algorithm manipulation to various other vices except the sheer tenacity of Nigerians.
To insinuate that Nigeria buys its global success and its Grammys is a very clear attempt to undermine the success of Nigerian artists, and therefore imply that they are not worthy of all the accolades.

It's fascinating to observe Ghanaians discussing Nigerian artist, record labels, and various excuses. Once Ghanaians shift their attention away from the 'big S' (Stonebwoy, Shatta, and Sark), progress will follow. Interestingly, Black Sherif and Asake are both signed to the same record label, Empire, so the funding excuse is invalid. Despite Ghana's constant complaints, they may not be aware that Ghanaian artist Amaarae is nominated for a Grammy. Instead of diversifying their focus, they predominantly fixate on the 'big S,' Thanks to Nigeria who has played a crucial role in spotlighting talents like Black Sherif, King Promise, Camidoh, Amarae and others.

Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide, Ayra Starr, Fireboy DML, and Asake were all nominated for next year’s event. Fireboy DML earned a Grammy nomination in the Album of the Year category for his contributions to Jon Batiste’s ‘World Music Radio.

Talks, discussions and arguments is what Ghanians pundits is all about. Put your money on Camidoh and you will lose all your money. Afrobeats songs is well known as Nigerian genre, any Ghanians singing Afrobeats song can never ever beat any Nigerians. We are way ahead in this musical journey. Comparing Naija with Ghanian will not work. Resources matter but qualities, acceptability and vibes is also important. These qualities Ghanian artists would struggle to compete with Nigerian artists.
