@Chris Mullins unfortunately he really wasn’t that good. Go to about 4:57 and watch his left hand. He did this “move” a number of times and was obvious.
One of the best routine I've seen on Fool Us or just in general. No convoluted tricks, no constant misdirection with useless props and jokes, just a simple trick well presented that feels like real magic. I loved it.
Because it is real magic aka witchcraft. "useless props and jokes" what a lovely appreciative attitude you have towards the art of illusionism and showmanship and all the work that goes into it.
the routine is awesome. the script and the effect is nowhere else to be seen. but... teller was 73 years when this was filmed.. and watching at his face, even taking into account all he knows about magic, but seeing his face, being able to be surprised once again... priceless. gabriel, you're one of a kind
when i heard he said sponge balls, in my mind, i thought, "oh that's a very bad choice!" but i was so wrong! This routine is on an entirely different level. you gave life to the sponge balls again!
What I like about the Fool Us trophy is that it actually means something, they don't give them out to just anyone, P & T are an excellent pair of judges as they are extremely experienced. It's a good competition. I'm so glad this close up magic is making a comeback, for so long the big grand magic was popular but there is nothing to magic that uses stooges and camera tricks.
Exceptions prove the rule. Why did Penn reassure viewers that he had asked the producers if they had "made adjustments" there? Because producers make adjustments from time to time and you can find several such "adjustments" in FU !!! In this case, there were no "adjustments", because shellfishers with sponges are very good even on the street when they rob. :)
Like countless magicians, I performed a sponge ball routine for decades. BUT... NOT anything like this ! This was a thing of beauty and as close to real magic you will see. Just a beautiful routine !
I definitely saw some of the transfer moves from under the table or below the table, where we couldn't see. But, even so, the routine is difficult to figure out and it is genuinely amazing at times. Even if you see one of those moves I can't explain most of the routine at all. Its very good.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL ROUTINE! Sponge balls are so accessible for beginning magicians, to the point that I feel they are so under appreciated. I had no idea they could be this amazing, though! The script and the effects and the magic are all so well in sync. The way everything is connected from moment to moment and forwards and backwards is so masterfully crafted. I LOVE this routine. Bravo!
yoooo, happy to see you here. Learnt how to solve the rubix cube from you and you introduced me to origami. Just wanted to say thank you and also hope the dentist work is going well
It's like you could follow some of it, but then you piled in on, and it becomes just magical to watch, where you just wonder what you are going to pull out next
I saw a couple moves and loads coming from the table. That being said, the mystifying and purely magical presentation of seemingly conjuring balls out of nowhere far exceeded anything I was able to catch. This was one of my favorite routines for sure.
I saw a lot of the moves. No biggie. But then it kept getting a little more complex to the point I couldn't keep up. I, too, hate sponge ball tricks....but I liked this one.
Esto me pone muy contento! Amo las esponjitas y llevo poco tiempo en la magia. Me alegro que un compatriota haya triunfado en Fool Us y con esponjas además, felicidades!
I don’t get why you think it’s special - guy is palming balls in primarily his left hand the whole time reaching under the table and grabbing more - he times him turning the palm of his hand towards the camera when his hand is empty and then loads up and doesn’t show until it’s empty again
@@matthewm7867 I only saw the loading at the finale, but not for the main part of the performance. And have a look at Teller's face at 3:34...he was as fascinated as I was 🙂
"cuando marcho hacia mi casa, siempre somos tres". Beautiful hommage to one of the most moving routines of René Lavand. It's really moving to see it inside yours at Fool Us, as it is all your presentation. Felicitaciones desde Argentina!
It always gladness my heart when they admit to being fooled and it brings great joy to discover that being fooled frustrates them so much that they have been known to go back stage and demand to know how some of the tricks are done
They are the same trick like all "pick a card" tricks are the same trick. A new method is a new truck and a faster/smoother hand can appear to be a new method.
WEOOOOOON QUE MARAVILLA!!! Al fin despues de años ver este programa un chileno allí!!! y tu show estuvo espectacular!!! te empiezo a seguir y espero verte en espectáculos en chile!!!! grande Gabriel!!!
With all the giggleling and the playing dumb act it's Alyson who is fooling everyone. Almost nobody remembers that she is actually the most powerfull witch in the whole planet 🤣🤣🤣
Teller was visibly amazed.. I think that acts like this are why Penn and Teller do this show. They still like to be amazed and this way they actually get to be amazed more than they normally would.
Fool us trophy’s design says “FU” and I think it rflects the degree of hates of penn and teller of people who actullly fool them😂😂😂! Its an indirect message! Hillarious🤣🤣
A lot of nice effects. Would love to see more of this mixing-color-effects like green is made of yellow and blue. You could make a whole story just around that.
The best sponge ball routine I’ve ever seen but I can’t get over the fact that he looks and sounds like Adam Sandler playing a part.
I read this comment before I started the video and then laughed as soon as I saw him.
Same and then i was singing "im an island boy" 😅
why is this so accurate
@Chris Mullins unfortunately he really wasn’t that good. Go to about 4:57 and watch his left hand. He did this “move” a number of times and was obvious.
@@dipdo7675 When you do your routine please be sure to post it so we can all see your amazingness with spongeballs ^.~ K thanks.
If you slow down the video at 0.25x speed, you can see that time is like a sponge. You get absorbed into watching the trick.

I love teller's reaction everytime he got fooled 😂
No wonder, his hair coming out.😄😃
This routine had everything: humor, philosophy, science, primary and secondary colors, and SPONGEBALLS!!!
But no ketchup. Ha!
That wasn’t just good. Deliberately using a technique they would know, then doing the same effect twice more with 2 new methods, astonishingly good
when i heard he said sponge balls, in my mind, i thought, "oh that's a very bad choice!" but i was so wrong! This routine is on an entirely different level. you gave life to the sponge balls again!
I wanna see your Chicken Wings and Chicken legs 🍗🐔🦵🦶

You do realize that the initials for Fool US are --- F U
right??

@@DL-kc8fc The only thing I caught when I slowed it down was how the first red sponge ball appeared.
@@stivaro I haven't researched it because it's still one well-known principle. :)
@@craigkdillon Yes, it's quite obvious, what is obvious however is your point...
He kept putting his hand in his pocket but what came out was just some more magic.

I bought many Sponge Balls but never actually did them in the show. got me how he did half these moves
They wrote the Acute Accent over the letter "c".
One of the best presentations I've seen. Spongeballs routine explained with the concept of time is just great.
Deja Vu is when they think they've seen it, and then you fool them again! You're so so good, Gabriel! 🧶
That’s the part where I went from meh, to rofl this is great

Yeah he moved his well chosen black T-shirt suspiciously a few times.
The best sponge magic i have ever seen
great routine. love that the storytelling was not as constructed as it often is, but simple and beautiful

If I learned anything from this routine, it's that time is like a sponge
Too good. What a routine! What a performance! And what a look on Teller's face throughout the act. Well done!
Excellent job, congrats on the win! Great routine, especially when the sponge balls change color and size at the end.
Indeed
yoooo, happy to see you here. Learnt how to solve the rubix cube from you and you introduced me to origami. Just wanted to say thank you and also hope the dentist work is going well
Deju Blue…. HAHAHAHA LOVE IT!! Bravo! Bravo! This was the best sponge balls routine I’ve ever seen.
Bravo! And congrats!
It's like you could follow some of it, but then you piled in on, and it becomes just magical to watch, where you just wonder what you are going to pull out next
@Furycrab Go to 4:57 you can easily see him pull at his t-shirt!! He did it a number of times. Was obvious and thus…he really wasn’t that good.
I wasn't fooled.
I knew I couldn't figure it out.
So greeeat, best magic trick with sponge balls I have ever seen :D
Déjà blue is when you think you've heard an Eiffel 65 song, but haven't.
That was Outstanding!
Totally looked like special effects! I'm certainly amazed!
I will never forget what deja vu is from now on
Just perfectly executed! I also have no idea how you do it.. nor do I care!
At the minute 6:22 Teller is telling Penn...Outstanding
that's how much they loved the routine.
And so did I... i loved it.

Incredible stuff man. Respect from Singapore
Absolutely LOVED this! This is the exact reason we love magic. Sometimes our jaw just drops!
that's what magicians aim for , the jaw to drop when that happens we know we've done our job well
گ
Felicidades Gabriel, un orgullo para los chilenos y porteños especialmente !!!!!!!!!!
Looks simple, but it is one of the craziest magic I ever saw!!!
And a big like to the DÉJÀ BLUE...👍
Pensé que ningún chileno había ido hasta que me salió este video en recomendados y no podría estar más orgulloso de mi país :)
Haha that was taking the classic sponge ball to a whole new level.
That was hands down the best sponge ball routine I have ever seen. Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏
Yeah, like Penn, I myself hated his hair, but his magic and spongeballs were *wonderful* .
Kudos (awards to you)
👍😂😎
Fantastic routine!
Great job!! This made me talk out loud to no one in the room.
Esto me pone muy contento! Amo las esponjitas y llevo poco tiempo en la magia. Me alegro que un compatriota haya triunfado en Fool Us y con esponjas además, felicidades!
Oh my word utterly love this clip. Fantastic magic. Love.
Homie said, ima shut all that sponge magic disrespect down here and now
Fabulous indeed and so much satisfying to assist! Great act, you deserve the trophy 🏆
Wow, that was an absolutely incredible routine. You totally blew me away!

The dexterity required of these guys should make them considered athletes.
This is the second time they got fooled by spongeballs! Good stuff.
Good magic - and that's definitely a unique hairstyle!
Love that commitment to spongeballs. Overlooked classic :)

Great performance! In the end, I was waiting for you to say "Scrappy Coco". Amazing talent man!
That thing on his head is actually an alien technology antenna that can teleport the balls around.
impresionante!!!!!!
Beautiful story line too. Let's not forget that is a huge part of your presentation.
Thanks for the show with Redbulls and blue balls.
Amazing performance!!!!
and with that, Penn hates Spongeballs even more
Fooled twice by essentially the same trick, even though they studied it. Classic!

'Cause I'm a chilean boy, and I've been tryin' to fool them..

Gabriel! Felicitaciones que buen performance!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
As soon as he said sponge balls, I was thinking "Can this guy manage to follow up on the show that Xulio gave Penn and Teller?"
Yes. Yes he can.
Just stunning!
Quite ballsy to do a trick twice back to back. It's like he is saying:" Just try to figure this one out."
I wanted the performance to stop and him say, “I am a PAPERHEAD.”
I love seeing these technically incredible tricks, the magicians like yourself that are developing new techniques are always the best.
As soon as I saw the different colors of sponge balls I knew this was going to be good.
That was amazing! Great job Gabriel!!
The production of the orange balls was wonderful.
Fantastic!
I'm glad they confirmed it was not camera trickery cause that is the first thing i thought. That being said, this was amazing, How ????
Wow, amazing! I love that finish with all the balls...
Love your attitude in the intro bio, Gabriel! And such an amazing illusion!
Wena Gabriel!! acabo de ver esto luego de ver durante tiempo penn & teller
Felicidades y a continuar con esta carrera
LOL @ allision holding the trophy at the end in front of a projector screen and an online crowd. It was a bit surreal. Great act too!
An absolute beautiful routine.
Sponge balls ........... somewhere in the ocean is a group of sponges with really high voices.
Looked like the 3sponge balls that he produced were in a line stuck together , non the less lovely visual magic
Such a great illusion such a different version of sponge balls love
INCREDIBLE. I too, was converted by this refreshing and mind boggling approach, to f~ing sponge balls lol 👏💯👏
Simply brilliant! Even Manuel Pellegrini would be proud of you and try some of these ball tricks on the pitch.
@Abdul Azim go to 4:57 and he does that move a number of times. I saw it easily. How did P & T and so many others miss it!! It was pretty obvious.
He made me smile so hard. I loved this.
You can see Penn and Teller genuinely love the trick, which does not happen very often! :))
