    Excellent how-to video. Including the bolt sizes, tools needed, and torque specs is extremely helpful. Great work and thank you.

    Is it normal for there to be a second seal at top? Not the one inside the oil filter housing but where the housing screws on to. I noticed my car had a second red seal at the top. Was wondering it should be there or if previous person didn't remove it. I could not tell if yours had one in the video.

    The crush washer is replaceable, why not just change it instead of the whole plug?

      Indeed it is…I should of mentioned that in the video. The customer mentioned the drain plug being “damaged” prior to me doing the job, so we included it in parts order for the job. The OE VW plug is only $3 from RockAuto tho, so not like it really broke the bank or anything.

    Man I bought the same oil filter socket and it bent the drive to the point where my wrench slips off. Did you use a 1/2 drive wrench with adapters or were those all 3/8 extensions?

    • @TheOriginalBeeCee
      @TheOriginalBeeCee  Před 2 lety +1

      All i used was a 3/8 driver ratchet, with a 2 inch 3/8 drive locking extension.

      You can also use a size 2 band wrench. Aka the one for like oe gm truck filters

    I'm leaking from the top of the oil filter housing. Wasn't leaking before. Now it is. Housing isn't cracked. Gasket is in correctly.

    Looks like you have some water in that oil. Might be worth checking.

    Mk should be pronounced like “mark”

    • @TheOriginalBeeCee
      @TheOriginalBeeCee  Před 2 lety +1

      Yea, I know its “mark”, like a Supra MK4 “mark 4” etc. I didn’t know it was against the rules to roll with the abbreviation and say MK.
