    Great video and review! I love the look, and can only imagine the power! I just got a regular Scout, and it will get up and go, so the Chief has got to be scary fast in sport mode! That Chief would get me in so much trouble! Ride and stay safe Nooga Cowboy!

    Thank you for your review! I just picked up my Super Chief Limited in maroon. I bought the bike unseen and without putting a leg over it. As a matter of fact, never even saw one other than CZcams videos and reviews. I have been off a bike for many years, so I had a lot of unknowns about this bike and if it was too much bike for me. I also wanted a bike to grow into as well. I took a rider safety class just to see if I still had my chops. The fact is, this bike exceeded my expectations and this bike will do what you want it to do. Its low seat height ( I am 5'-11" at 190 lbs) is easily manageable. Because it has three ride modes, you can have a great range from beginner + to advanced. At any mode you choose, this bike has the ability to take you from zero to trouble in no time at all! The power that comes from this 116 is amazing! I sit comfortably on this bike and the windshield gives some aid to buffeting, at around 80MPH, I start to really feel the wind. I'm glad I bought this bike!

      You made a great choice! The most impressive part of this bike is the power to weight ratio. You'll never run out of power. Enjoy that beast and ride safe!

    How is the breaking on this bike? I would've thought they'd give it dual front rotors.. so that's a little disappointing. I have been wanting to get a new Indian for years.. and this year is the year. I initially thought I'd be going for a Chieftain Dark Horse. Then I was torn between the Chieftain and the Challenger. Now I see this bike and I'm even more torn.

      @NoogaCowboy  Před 3 lety +1

      I'd go with the new Chief. However, I love the performance and looks of the Bobber too. You get the added benefit of the new technology with the Chief as well. I think it's worth the extra money. Seems like you have a difficult decision. Best of luck and ride safe!

    Love the bike and I have put about 95 miles on one. Don't like the way the exhaust sticks out and roasts my leg. Too bad it only had a 4 gallon tank as the fuel light comes on at about 125 miles. Also not a fan of the 116 as it is lumpy at very low speeds and gets about 40 mpg. Would like a 19 inch front tire so I have better feel of the road. Other than that I would by one today.

    That gauge is a lot of unnecessary bullshit. It's like playing with your phone instead of riding. Speedo? Tach? That's all you need. Bikes are starting to get as bad as cars.

    • @Stevel_
      @Stevel_ Před rokem +1

      I agree, I'm an analogue guage guy, but try this one before you knock it. Id rather have a clear as day TFT tach and speedo than no tach at all which you get on most cruisers. Indian really nailed it with this guage, it rocks!

    • @kevinpolito1529
      @kevinpolito1529 Před rokem

      @@Stevel_ What I am most interested in seeing is the road and and the scenery. Having ridden big, slow-turning V-twins or the past 20 years, a tach is not essential. I tend to short-shift, enjoying the abundant low-end torque. rather than shifting at redline. The rev limiter handles redline concerns. A tach would be more useful in avoiding lugging. My current bike has a redline of 6,000, which I occasionally approach when winding out through the gears when entering a long, empty stretch of interstate. The power peak is only 4,600 rpm. This will deliver an indicated 110 mph (likely 100 mph actual) on a long, straight, limited-access, unlimited visibility rural highway across a valley floor.

    • @Stevel_
      @Stevel_ Před rokem +1

      @@kevinpolito1529 The scenery is obviously what we all want to see, but as a riding enthusiast who pushes bikes in corners and the engine to redline, a decent tach is. Must for me. This guage nails it all in one dial it. Go test drive one and you'll see. I was a sceptic before, preferring twin analog clocks.

    We heard that Indian will only sell you one of these bikes if you are older than 62 as they are trying to reduce the average age of their owner base.
    AARP recommended that Indian built in a navigation system so owners can always find their way home............Eventually.
    Local Police are recommending these bikes for the elderly folk and are looking forward to lower missing people reports filed by concerned family members when grandpa stays out after dark
    One awesome feature Indian made the bike "Keyless" so their owner base won't forget where they put the key and family members can use the key fob to stop grandpa from escaping the senior living retirement home
    There is nothing else more horrifying than to see grandpa blasting down the 91 freeway @ 54 mph in the fast lane with his blinker on
