Two pretty new pens! I especially like the quartz-looking one and that orchid ink. 👍🏻🖊️

Yes! I am anxious to experience another ink in this pen, and this ink in another pen. I’m glad I didn’t do a full fill. The Orchid Flower ink will appear in my LMZ Angel Skin as soon as I write out the Noodler’s Black Swan English Roses. Thanks for enjoying along with me.

I was totally surprised at its beauty! I was totally unaware of this pen until I accidentally (while browsing 😂) discovered it. I’m anxious to try another ink. Maybe one with red to bring out the red sparkles! 💖 Thanks for enjoying along with me!

Murasaki Shikibu was a 10th-century lower-class aristocratic woman who served at court and as a tutor to the then young empress.
She is also the author of Japan's oldest novel, The Tale of Genji. (The oldest in the world?).
She was a very intelligent woman, and was well versed in Chinese poetry, which was only available to boys at the time, and can be seen in The Tale of Genji.
She was also a poetess who composed many wonderful waka poems.
Murasaki means purple. This would be the perfect ink for teacher to use in school👍

Oh my goodness! I love this historical information! Would you mind if I highlight this ink color again, citing your information? I will also research more detail to add. I so appreciate this detail! I appreciate you! 💜🖋️

@@MarcellHobbs Of course! Murasaki Shikibu and The Tale of Genji are well-known outside of Japan, so you will find many English explanations of them.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.
I love the culture of the Heian period and the aristocrats in which she lived.
The Tale of Genji is a long love story centered around a prince named Hikaru Genji, but it is very profound and makes you think not only about love, but also about life and the happiness of women in those days when polygamy was the norm.
Of course, the original is written in old Japanese, so I read it in manga form, as a Japanese person would! Haha.

@@MarcellHobbs To mention a little more about her name, Murasaki Shikibu is not her real name. It was customary at the time not to reveal one's real name except in close relationships, so it was a common name at court.
Murasaki was probably taken from Murasaki no Ue, the most famous heroine of The Tale of Genji, and Shikibu was the title of her father, brother, or husband.

Nice inks and pens, although a little confusing with the wrong box? 😇🩷🙏🙌

I know! I almost deleted that portion of the video, but decided you could use some humor! 🤣 I’m writing morning scripture with that pen/ink now. It is still showing up as gray with shading but minimal shimmer. I’m going to flush and re-ink the pen today. Thanks for enjoying along with me.
