KDK Ceiling Fan Repair - Humming Noise. KDK models V60WK, V56VK, R56SV, Z60WS, K14Z9, K15Z9, K14Y2 etc and Panasonic equivalents.
No need to take down fan. No need to test. Equipment needed: ladder (to reach fan), Phillips screwdriver, flat tip screwdriver (optional), soldering iron & lead, replacement capacitor 1.8uF 500VAC or equivalent.

Should use the same type of capacitor (direct solder on board). If use cbb61 type, capacitor should be glued to the board (to secure it).
