I thought they should've lowered IC points but they decided to raise them. All the regionals in America are basically IC's at this point and it doesn't make sense to have them that much different. Overall I think a lot of players could chill out a little bit and realize fun is supposed to be the priority when playing the game

We think bringing them closer does a lot to close the gap and with the increases for higher finishes being quite a lot more the high placements even more worth it!
Agree with the sentiment that the mindset does need to alter a little! There’s so much more to the competitive Pokémon TCG scene than worlds!

The main negative I see is they continue to reduce the amount of regionals and now we are reducing the rounds that you play at those regionals. Unfortunately, in my area there’s only two accessible regionals this year and the one for the first half happens to fall on a weekend that I can’t go, the lower frequency of events makes it harder for people with busy schedules to actually be able to go to events without having to fly all over the United States

We’ve still got half a season to be announced, so there still second might be one that is accessible for you!
Otherwise would it be possible to substitute one of those you’d usually try go to for one further afield with some additional planning ahead of time to do so?
Reducing the rounds is a shame, does maybe give even more of an opportunity for someone to spike and take down an event! Who knows exactly how that will play out!

Lots of positive changes, Surprised at smaller junior levels, given that TCG numbers at regionals in EU anyway seem to have risen fast and are either as big or bigger than seniors. Also given the masters age demographic..I suspect junior numbers will keep on rising in the next few years.

Perhaps at the junior and senior level changes will need to be adjusted at some stage.
The growth of the game has been impressive and with things like the rewards programme we hope to keep seeing it continue!

Will the Pokemon Company fire you if you don't play the pronouns game and call men 'he' and women 'she'? It's pretty infuriating hearing you call men "they" all the time, especially when we already have to put up with their antics of dressing and attempting to chemically alter their bodies to imitate women. It's very obvious TPCI has a social engineering and marketing agenda revolving around the rainbow stuff but surely in the name of inclusivity and equality TPCI wouldn't enforce labour practices compelling casters to call a man a 'they' instead of a 'he'. If dudes have the right to invent new alter egos called natalie or freya then those dudes will definitely be accepting of everyone else's right to call them he's. No reason to play the "they" game or even worse, refer to someone in a way completely opposite of their biology unless you're being forced by Pokemon to speak that way.
It's pretty obvious the entire top end of the competitve scene is of the rainbow persuasion so maybe you're just trying to play the politics game and stay in everyone's good books but as a caster you're supposed to be impartial and altering your language is clearly siding with a specific ideology and larger social agenda. For the most diverse, equal and inclusive experience you shouldn't be promoting one side more than any other and every person is solely responsible for the reaction to their life choices. Having a protected class that's endlessly accomodated would be a contradiction to equality.
I also understand that getting to work for TPCI is like winning a lottery and everyone is happy to go along with whatever to keep the dream alive but being silent and pretending this stuff isn't happening further proves it is and there's a larger agenda within the comapny, especially through the production of events.
If Pokemon (and the casting/ production staff they hire to represent them) believes their practices are good, then there shouldn't be any issue discussing the indoctrination and promotion of their politics.
All I want is to get a little hyped from Charizard being shiny on a piece of paper but instead I get hit with these 12 hour streams of heavy culture wars spotlighting and by extension normalizing the most obscene and disturbed people. If our common interest is a cerebral endeavour then let's at least maintian some semblance of composure when calling men and women he and she.

There’s so much to digest here.
We do our best to cater to everyone, as we should and make sure our game can be as inclusive as possible.
Likely all casters use “they” a lot based just general terms and how people communicate in their natural language.
There are no such thing as sides in this matter and we will continue to make sure this space can be as inclusive and diverse as possible.
We are very privileged in our positions to be able to work with TPCi and we know this. We’re here to make sure everyone can enjoy the production as much as possible as the face and voice of it all. We hope as part of the wider team that we cater to the masses!
