Very smart system; that most likely can be adapted to any kind of boat !!! Thank you very much !!!

That's one thing I love about boats- the self-sustaining/ off grid ability. You just have to put your mind to it! Good work Billy.

I wanted to add my opinion on this subject of rain collection. Your most important source of fresh water, in my opinion, ALWAYS has to be rain collection and your water-maker is secondary!!! You may disagree but the habit of collecting every bit of rain water will never fail you like a water maker might

I remember when catching rain was the only watermaker there was

Interesting, you'd definitely need to keep it clean and the birds away! I can remember when you built the hardtop! Thanks for sharing.

Great idea for retrofitting rain catchment on the saloon roof. Maybe in a future tech talk, you could discuss your experience with your new standing rigging, especially what you did for the forestay and how it is working. How often have you had to tighten the rigging and how do you know that the tension is balanced? do you have a guage?

Hi Billy. Can you rig a bottle of Irish whiskey (Jameson) in-line with the rain system? That would sterilize the water and make it taste better!

Very nice job man! Would you please tell me how much water can you approximately catch during a normal rain? Thanks a lot, fair winds!

It depends how hard it rains but probably like 30-40 gallons/hour during a hard rain

Rainmakers are expensive plus they take up a lot of space
