I added a link wire between the high and low beam with a diode in it. That way the low beam stays on when you switch to highbeam. Normally the low beam turns off when high beam is on

Do you notice a difference with the new light? We all agree the stock sucks but gotta ask, was it all worth it?
Oh and don't ever apologize for doing what works. If it worked for you, it's perfect. I have a 07 mean streak with 107k miles and she is FAR from pretty but functionality is priority. If i wanted to spend time cleaning it, i would have bought a Harley lol

Yeah it's much brighter than stock. Haven't driven it that much during the night I'm thinking about making another vid of it at night to give a better understanding of what it looks like

I don’t get it.....I just did this today...mine mounts using the Adjure 2.0 ring, I have the up and down adjustment but on my stock headlight the bracket for L/R adjustment, is bolted to the back of my headlight....how’d you relocate the bracket??
I removed the bracket and modified the new headlight so the it would fit
I purchased one for mine and I did the same cus they don't send me the bracket it makes no sense

Don't know if it will fit or not. I measured mine and found to closest 1 I could find.
Looks like y'all did a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned. The only issue I have with doing that is that I ride all year, even in pouring rain, and would be concerned water would get all up in the wiring and short something out. Hey what did you do with your stock light? I’m in need of one bad I’ve had my bike for a year in May 2018 Vulcan classic and have ordered headlamps off of eBay and Amazon and nothing fits!!! Also thanks for the video I only have the dome it sits in trying to piece the headlamp assembly together
I've got an '99 vulcan 800 classic and the headlight assembly looks to be identical, so you might be able to pick one of those up from ebay.
to install the led headlight you had to buy the adapter or could you use the one that already has the original headlight installed

Hey Tremayne, thanks for putting up this video. I just got a similar light for my Vulcan Mean Streak. Same light bucket as yours, same bracket inside. I actually drilled through the heat sink and used longer screws for horizontal axis and compression fit high density foam under the upper and lower bracket sides, because I wanted the light to be flush to the aperture. But now I've got a light that points too high, so I think I'm going to try your approach now! Looks like you are able to adjust the light with the articulating screws! Thanks again! MLLH&R!
