WOWWWWW !!!
@@craigfromscotland5272 live 8 👍, remember watching it and a person in the crowd held a cardboard cut out saying pink floyd reunited ! 🐷 pigs have flown ! 😜
@@keypressplay9129 one of my favourite songs from pink floyd is speak to me / breathe from the album the dark side of the moon , I find the studio version the best , you should check it out ❤
#Evolution
Not many bands can echo the origins of life in sound. From the sea to animal to rational thinking mind.
I am really loving you so much more everytime I see you. You might turn me into a creepy stalker of some type. I might have to start sending you money or something, you got me nuts. A beautiful woman digging this Gdansk version of Echoes is a real turn on. Anyway, enough sexual harassment. Can't wait for your next Floyd reaction 😍😘
This one song is longer than most of today's "artists" careers. That's why they're frickin legends!!!😳
Lol
Very true 😊
🤣🤣🏴✌
LOL!!...true:)
They only attendees for Live at Pompeii were the ghosts of those who died in the Vesuvius eruption in 79 ad. Love your reaction to this, though!
David Gilmour said he will never play this live ever again because of the loss of Richard Wright that’s such a beautiful tribute to the man I think
Right. He mourns Richard to this day and suffers greatly from the loss of friendship and musical harmony between the two.
He also recently sold many of his guitars, raised over $25 million, gave every penny to charity. A genuinely good man.
A very moving performance.
@@mondeoman1954 Many years ago he sold a house in London for £6M and gave the proceeds to a charity for the homeless
And we all that he shouldn’t …. Cause it simply can’t be done without Rick😏 RIP
Rest In Peace Richard Wright. He was battling lung cancer during this performance. One of my favorite Pink Floyd jams.
R.I.P ❤️🌹
Sad. Listen that grand piano on ' us and them
Richard Wright R.I.P. The true keyboard master 🎹
R.I.P 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🙌🏽
On a planet that is 4.6 billion years old, and a human species that is 200,000 years old, count yourself extremely fortunate to be alive at the same time as David Gilmour.
I saw him play Echoes at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2006. As you say, watching it on video is one thing. Actually witnessing it in person is a whole other level.
I can only imagine but technically have no idea!! Bitter sweet 😆
You are a real trooper to play the entire video without stopping....thank you! For those of us who love Pink Floyd it is special being the last performance that Richard Wright had with PF.
That is so a 31:19 noyimg
The almost looks white girl did a great performance. You'd date her if you weren't so old and a race sellout
This performance is actually from David's solo career, Richard joined him for this song. Fun fact, The guitar strap David is wearing used to belong to Jimi Hendrix.
The way David And Richard played off each other through the years was simply magical. David said Richard was the backbone of Pink Floyd; he did all the musical arrangements and orchestration in addition to the keyboards. Richard was the only true multi-instrumentalist of the band
And fired by Roger for not contributing!
FINALLY...... someone reacts to a more modern version of Echos!! The original Pompeii is great but this...... this is phenomenal and outstanding!
Great choice!
Great reaction!
Only the Gods were in attendance at Pompeii.
This is amazing, but a bit too dirty and disbalanced, the old Pompejii version with the original Floyds has more team spirit and soul
@Yves Blues
Yes, probably more connected overall. However, there is a lot too like here. Some very good work between Richard and David.
@@yvesblues560 This version is more exciting (and I LOVE the live version at Pompeii) because it is the last one played together by Gilmour and Wright. And it marks the farewell between two friends who would soon say goodbye forever. The final part is truly moving.
Be that as it may, "Echoes" is a splendid piece, both in old and new versions.
I worked as a lighting technician in the music industry for a long time. My first big tour was Pnk Floyd's "Pulse" tour. Then Michael Jackson. Then some other top-class bands and musicians followed. But nothing compares to a tour with Davis Gilmour. All the preparations, the team, the musicians, and David, an unbelievable harmony, a great spirit and it is just made sure that everyone just has a great time and tour. From the boss to the truck driver. This is almost unique in the industry. Also the contact with each other. Just a big family, you can't say it any other way. It's similar with Adele, but nowhere else.
Amazing
Cooool.
Ever do lighting for the grateful dead? They must have been a nightmare, since no one knew what they'd play each second of every show.
As a professional, it'll crack you up. (It was cool tho, bc you didn't need to see them).
@@Lchristyhastings at a fesival, but not specifically for grateful dead. a fantastic live band, I totally agree with you
@@Lchristyhastings One of the greatest of all, and for whom I really deeply mourn, is joe cocker. an incredible talent and live artist.
@@unpluggedist so was it a nightmare? I always wondered if their own people stepped in bc of that. But even on home turf, lights had a hard time. It's so funny to watch.
Pink Floyd is just in a category all to themselves. The piece of music you just listened to takes time for even you to process in your mind. You listened and studied carefully (yes, I did stay and vibe with you until the end) and you “got it” when you said “Echoes!” when you realized the keyboard and guitar were complimenting each other toward the end. Great catch for a first down! Great review... keep going young Lady. PS, I subbed.
RIP Rick! This is one of the greatest songs ever recorded 🙏 & shows how important he really was to the band & their incredibly unique sound
RIP RICK ❤️🌹
❤
R.I.P. Richard wright,he was the best 🎹 it was the best song for him, you're awesome girl, love you ❤️
R.I.P ❤️🌹
now u see why guitarist david said he could never play this song again without richard ❤️
This makes my soul weep. David and Richard are dancing together. This takes me on a different journey every time I here it.
Not being patronising, but it is lovely to see a younger person enjoying music from an earlier time. Thank you for being so receptive to such a long track - and your reaction when DG played his first solo was an absolute joy to behold!
The original Pompeii concert had no audience. Just them and the other gods that went before!
I se what you did there.
Agreed.
One of my favourite renditions of this song! :-) the interplay between Gilmour & Wright was just magical, right until the end :-)
Where they have part 1 and part 2 is "Pink Floyd in Pompeii 1971". That's when they filmed this song into 2 parts that kind of bookends a documentary and a bunch of songs in between half of Echoes. It might be nice for you to see them when they were your age which they are in the 1971 version where they play in an empty ancient Arena that was destroyed by Mount Vesuvius in 79 ad. They are kind of playing to the ghosts that were covered by the ash from the sudden eruption of Mount Vesuvius! Part 1 is the part of the song before the crazy whale song and crazy squawking sounds that you heard in the live in Gdansk version you just watched.
Thank u so much for that information 🙏🏽❤️😎
I can't determine what's more beautiful, Pink Floyd's music or your eyes.
I've known and loved this song for decades, but up to now I didn't know this version. Fantastic, genius.
Just let your soul be guided by the wonderful sound of Pink Floyd
So beautiful it hurts. When Gilmour starts playing his arpeggios in the later part... 🤤
Love this reaction, love to see this beautiful woman to react to a pink floyd song, oh yeah!!
It seems that David's guitar also knew that Rick will b no more after this performance so it cried and wailed endlessly!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Pink Floyd, we are lucky to have you in our lifetime😘
This will never b extinct, endangered, outdated, outnumbered, outclassed, outsmarted✊
No one, absolutely no one individually or collectively will b able to recreate or replicate Pink Floyd ever because it's the one and only in this universe 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘✊✊✊✊✊
You are lucky that you found them to make the rest of your life💖❤👍🏼💐
Literally in tears here. For all the right reasons. Wright and Gilmour...how they bounce off of each other. Nothing beats this.
Well my Pink Floyd girl the puzzled look on your face during the middle part with the rather high pitched alien was priceless but you soldiered your way through to the ship departing at the end. Really laughed “that sound again” . Love it 😍
RIP Rick Wright . ✨ Best band of history 😎👍✨🎸🎶 Good week-end to you 🙋♂️
🙏🏽❤️😎
This is the better performance. The right choice.
Pink Floyd is the only band I know of that takes their audience to a different place of their choosing.
at 23:00 minutes sounds like Dave saying goodbye to Rick
Classic Gilmour solo at 6:30, the tone, the bends, and a few notes doing the work of many. Simply gorgeous.
Love it! You are the first person I've seen react to this particular performance. R.i.P. Rick Wright
R.I.P ❤️🌹
That is as near to perfection as you will ever hear I heard.this first forty odd years ago it stirs all sorts of emotions this recording is the best by far Wright and gilmore are absolute geniuses no question love you Richard Wright you will be sorely missed by a helloff a lot of true music lovers
You are correct my friend this is a masterpiece that will never be replicated.
I love your reaction and your voice and beauty and your laugh. you are beautiful. Pink
Floyd is magical and nothing without Richard on keyboards.
I was at 1972 show and thank you for taking my recommendation to
React to this track
Another is shine on how crazy diamond
I had never seen that version of Echoes before and it was awesome. i was lucky enough to see Pink Floyd in Versailles in 1988 and will never forget that amazing show. Thanks for a great reaction 😀🙌🏻
that song actually launched this version of pink floyd to unbelievable heights as musicians and it is 50 yrs old now
David gilmour said once that in this song there was a sort of dialogue between him and Rick , he said that after Rick passed away RIP ... this is a band out of ranking ...can you imagine in nowadays a youngsters of the age of 22 or 24 years old playing this kind of songs and writing those lyrics ....thank you for existing PF....
When I first watched this video, on 23:37, that was my exact reaction. Those final minutes are simply gorgeous. Thank you so much for this reaction!
Absolutely loving watching your PF reactions. For one so young, you really appreciate quality. I've been listening since the seventies, can't ever tire of mastery. I do envy you listening and discovering them for the first time. But we can't turn back the clock, can we?
😆
Fantastic music never dies.
Seen this in Glasgow 2006. I could not believe it when they played this in full. What a lifetime experience it was. Rip Rick you gave us some great tunes.
I was not expecting this one next, but what a pleasant surprise! This is among my favorite renditions of it.
I 100% guarantee you will not hear from anyone who was in the audience for “Echoes” live from Pompeii in 1972. If you watch that video, you will see why. 😉But that too, is one of my favorite versions.
I really hope you do “Dogs” from the Animals album (honestly doing the entire album would be an even more exhilarating experience for you). But in that case with this song or album, I strongly encourage you do the original studio version, not live ones. There’s nothing to watch, but just close your eyes and enjoy an incredible experience, of course, reacting too. Haha
For more live stuff, and especially since you enjoy the lights, try “Run Like Hell” from the Pink Floyd - Pulse concert. It’s insanity.
And another I think you would enjoy is David Gilmour “On An Island” from Live in Gdańsk. The same concert for the one you just did here with “Echoes”.
But honestly, you can’t really go wrong with nearly everything Pink Floyd did. It’s a deep rabbit hole with a lot of stops on the way.
I've sat and watched this whole performance a number of times and figured, I needed to watch someone else watch it. I love seeing the reaction people have to it. Echoes is basically about human empathy and understanding one another. _"Strangers passing in the street, by chance, two separate glances meet and I am you and what I see is me"_ We should all be more kind to one another and in this day and age especially. I hope you check out some other Floyd live performances from their Division Bell tour or Delicate Sound of Thunder. Cheers!
The evolution of humans. Echoes from the past.
One of the best song by floyd
A symphony poem👌🏼🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
You are magic. Many thanks for choosing this version. I tear up everytime I hear that outro between the two geniuses., one of whom Richard Wright that the big C cruelly took him away from us. Pink Floyd are surely the composers of this century!! And all that came from a band that at the time were expirimenting with sounds, and free to express, what mastery!. Your my lovliest reactor ,please do more Floyd .RIP Richard Wright!!
R.I.P ❤️🌹
Perfect video.
What a performance of one of their best, reacted by a beautiful lady.
RIP Richard Wright.
Richards fate to cancer was one of the saddest losses to music. This song was the epitome of psychedelia in the 60s.
Echoes part 1 and 2 in 1973 live at Pompeii . Have never seen both from 1973 on you tube at the same time Dave said the reason not playing ever again was he said he feels like Rick and him were talking to each other through their playing
Thanks for another great KEY reaction!! Don't be afraid to dive deep into the Pink Floyd catalog, as you will never go wrong!!
🗝👑
Twice around the galaxy and back to earth with David Gilmores guitar and Rick's keyboards
Great reaction and thanks for not pausing.
He really does have a great sound.
It's hard to top his sound.
Guitar god!!p
Incredible performance! I had no idea this existed! Thank you for digging it up and letting it play through. I loved your reaction and comments were right on. Pompei version is awesome….but this was incredible.
Have you checked out “Comfortably Numb” live Pulse concert. One of Gilmore’s best performances…a must if you haven’t played it yet. CC
That looks like the £3 million Strat that Dave’s playing here!
😁 Super glad you reacted to this version. 😍 Such great memories! 😂 And you're adorable when it comes to Gilmours 🎸 solos. Glad you get Floyd! 🍿🐰
A reaction so nice, I had to watch it twice, again. Wish there was a way to like this video again ❤️
Ayyyyy 🔥🔥🙏🏽❤️😎
This is the best version of the song IMO with the Pompeii version being 2nd. You reaction to the last 5:00 is much the same way I feel and I've seen it so many times! Also, you're such a lovely young lady!
Another one you should listen to, you will love it! czcams.com/video/hoEDw18mkbU/video.html
This is the first time I've heard this version and wow! It was more hypnotic than usual. Love it!!!
I absolutely love watching the younger generations experiencing what I feel were the best times of my younger years and yes, I still jam out with them to this day
When Rick Wright the keyboard player died, David said he’d never do that song without him. As far as I know, he never has again. What a classic and they hit it spot on 50 yrs later
What a super treat to see this. Way to put the work in. We really appreciate it🤗
Your the only one I know of that has reacted to this version
there's a few, but not many
As a post script to my original comment, ... sadly there’ll never be another PF concert, however I’ve discovered a PF tribute band that is the best one can get, spot on & as near to the experience that is possible today. Brit Floyd is currently on a world tour. I’ve had the pleasure 3 times here in Memphis & look forward to their return next spring.
Again thanks for allowing us to experience what we have all come to love with you. Keep it real !
It’s been a pleasure!! THANK U for your support!!! 🙏🏽❤️😎
What an outstanding band floyd are so lucky to have seen them live in 94 pulse tour best live show ever
RIP Rick Wright🙏💔
R.I.P ❤️🌹
I was mesmerized for 31 minutes!
The song is phenomenal as well!
I play PF in my office often and this particular piece has a way to energize me!
This is yet another great reaction!
Grazie!
Thanks for taking the long road.
Subscriber now because of it.
I’m 65 & have always loved seeing people’s reactions to PF but yours young lady has been my favorite. ! Best Wishes ❤️
Oh my God your back ! Patients !?! Your BEAUTIFUL! I can look and here you all day long ! And your playing Pink Floyd! Ahh this is HEAVEN
Beautifully haunting song by a beautifully haunting band.
And reacted to by a beautiful woman !🥰👍🇨🇦
i heard this for the first time in 1971 from the album meddle
I’m glad you did this version of echoes. Your beauty and genuine enjoyment coupled with David Gilmour’s unbelievable guitar work makes my morning cardio at the gym much more enjoyable! Keep up the good work 💪
💪🏽
Whats amazing is that the crowd knows exactly what song theyre going to perform just by the opening note.
that exchange at the end of this version might be my favorite melodic guitar i've ever heard. no one like Gilmour. awesome reaction! what a masterpiece
Thank you to reacting to this version of this beautiful song. There is something so mystical about it and the interplay between David and Richard speaks to their decades of performing together. If you want to see a more recent performance of David Gilmour, his 2016 solo tour took him back to Pompeii for the first time since 1971. (I was fortunate enough to see his tour when it came through Chicago). I especially like the song 'In Any Tongue', which features beautiful guitar work, as usual: czcams.com/video/iOACn7v-_VI/video.html
Hyenas? Whales and dolphins, I think. The theme is underwater: Sonar notes to start and end the song, "tide", "coral" and "the albatross"?
Yes 👊🏼
I thought of seagulls and crows 😁
hello , I had chance to see pink floyd on 1996 at Chantilly in France for pulse concert was phenomenal experience in my point of view . Echoes one one my favorite music for long time from album( my favorite for ever lol ) , live at pompeii , or concert , always something magic on this master piece . Was nice to listen again this video and seeing you reacting of Echoes .
Richard Wright was on the same level as Keith Emerson of Emerson Lake and Palmer, rest in music heaven guys 🎶
❤️🌹
no one was at the pompeii performance, they played in an empty ancient arena
I saw them in 1975 in a soccer stadium in Canada. not long after dark side of the moon and the wall was coming out. they songs were played in succession like it was 1 long song for about 3 hrs. I never had an experience at any concert like that and it was a total experience of amazing lights and music like no other. there was no need to do any drugs as you were put into a state of amazement. by far the best band in my mind. never disappoints
Pink floyd is so much more than music ❤ utter magic
Loving the pink floyd reactions 💜 I feel like getting back on the weed haha I’ve not long stopped but there’s nothing better then getting high and listening to a bit of floydy 🎸🤟🏻🙌🏻
It's wonderful to see someone as young and beautiful as you enjoying the greatest band on earth. God bless you xx
How do they make instruments sound so beautiful
Tears are running down my face listening to this very emotional piece of musical genius the way David gilmore and Richard Wright echo off each other at the end of this masterpiece is to me a show of love and respect for each other nowing in there heart of hearts that their collaboration together as band members in pink floyd is sadly coming to an end this piece of music I will cherish for as long as I will live I'm 72 rarely can you call a piece of music perfect this is perfect
Nice reaction to this absolute masterpiece.
Many Thanks for this great Video Review.
Outstanding !

SCOTLAND.
keep Rockin' 🎸
Incroyable, cette interprétation live est INCROYABLE.
La version originale est un pur chef-d'oeuvre.
Mais alors là.........
I love your reaction .... Thank you Girl...
Very nice reaction to that masterpiece
I saw them open with Echoes in 1987 in Philadelphia at JFK stadium as Pink Floyd. When I saw them in 1977, they had scraped all the old songs. Thank God I got to see it!
One of the greatest song of all time and for generations to come
Wonderful to see new generations Feeling real music.
The Greatest Rock band ever....I was in concert many years before in Athens Greece....Their music has the effect of LSD.... Something open in your mind and start have different sense of everything....The environment , the music , the colours
the smell looks different... You are tripping without drugs.....They said that the song
Shine on you crazy diamond was dedicated to the man , the myth , the martyr Syd Barrett ex Pink Floyd member which left this world very early...RIP Syd Barrett..
In my opinion Pink Floyd send more people to space than NASA.... Greetings from Rio De Janeiro Brasil....
A definite case of 1 plus 1 equals perfection 🤩 Echoes has been my favourite PF track since it was released.
"I hope you guys are enjoying this." Sweet lady, that's the most epic piece of music from the most epic band of artisans (plus or minus a member or two) ever put here for our enjoyment. Yes, I enjoy it every time I listen to it, and somehow, seeing a newbie taking it in makes it even more emotional.
I had the pleasure of seeing them live three times: The Wall, The Momentary Lapse of Reason and Division Bell tours. Since then, I’ve seen David Gilmour twice and Roger Waters twice. If you can feel their music through videos, imagine being there in concert!
WOWWWW
I am so jealous right now !!!😁👍👍🇨🇦
Can you imagine... I saw them first time for the delicate sound of Thunder tour.. 5th from the front right side. They opened with echoes and I'd not heard that song... 20 mins of WOW.
Little late here to the comment party. Mind blown 🤯 I do not recall ever watching or hearing this version
Of course I sat through the whole video. I anticipated your reaction when the funk dropped. That's my favorite part that I could listen to for an hour
I teared up during the second call/response between Rick and David towards the end. You're right, it's not a battle. It's a conversation that the two of them are having. The last one ever. After hearing this over and over for 38 years, you showed me something on your first time. Echoes. I never thought of it that way before.
👏🏽😎
@@keypressplay9129 , I'm watching the video again. You just said "the anticipation here". As I've always said, everything in this world is about tension and release. That's what makes a great song, a great ride, you name it. The longer they can hold you with tension and keep you interested, the better the release is.
By the way, are you going to do that two parter? It's Pink Floyd (this was David Gilmour) playing Pompeii at the ancient coliseum for ghosts. It was an artistic film back in the early 70's. It's two parts because the film was bookended by Echoes. Fitting, because they say you can feel the echoes of the once living that are long gone.
