David Gilmour literally making his guitar sing. Using a Talk Box is just like him using a Steel Guitar...its really Unfair! For Keys benefit, a Talk Box is an effect that guitarists use to add a new sound to the performance. Essentially it directs the sound of the guitar into their mouth where they can use their mouth and throat to alter the guitar sounds and send them through the mic. With the right person it can be magic.
In this case it's MAGIC ;-)
At the time most guitarists called it a Throat Tube. Now it's called a Talk Box which is worn outside the mouth on the mic stand and is a processed sound like a synth. It was changed as the tube down the throat tended to damage vocal chords if you weren't careful.

The Division Bell, from this song is taken, is one of the most underrated albums of Pink Floyd's discography. The concept behind the album is the communication between humans and this song carries the concept too well. As a result of the lyrics' analysis, it’s true that without communication the human relationships will fall apart. It’s kind of mystical the treatment that this topic is receiving here, in this song. Someone it’s not willing to communicate his feelings and the other is demanding it, leaving us to find the answers in Stephen Hawking’s words. With very simple lyrics and with great music Pink Floyd give us the solution to the world greatest problem… the lack of communication. I can see that your reaction is genuine, thanks for the video.

BIG FACTS
She made it all the way through Animals without becoming flustered (no small feat), but this song floored her. I love it! Best song of the concert, and I'm a huge fan of Sorrow. The voice box steals the show.
Key, your smile when Gilmour starts playing is priceless. The most beautiful woman on CZcams, being moved by the greatest guitarist in music history. You know what's coming and you can't help but smile. Any time I listen to floyd my emotions are in the same space as yours.
This man Gilmour certainly does leave one speechless,and the versatility of his musicianship knows no bounds. Glad you are back, you are amazing! You may like to check out PF On The Turning away 1990 live remastered version to see some soul aching stuff!!

To transform the guitar voice, in human voice! The better one with that was PÉTER FRAMPTON, in a song called DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO! I was one of the lucky blessed persons who saw that show, back then '94 in Basel/Swiss. That wormthing at the end combiend with that sound was just hypnotising in an other way. Just way off. Great fun to watch that reaction.

I know this isn't a very good way to get your attention, but I would like to recommend a band from Finland to you. The band is called Nightwish.. They have a female vocalist that to my mind is, second to none, when it comes female vocalists. Her name is Floor Jansen. She is Dutch singer from the Netherlands. Nightwish hired her in 2112, when their singer fell ill during the middle of their north american tour that year. She is a soprano, and operatic and classically trained. She was a vocal coach as well. Let me just say, should you decide to re-act to this song, be prepared for the Nightwish army to bestow you with love and affection like no other.
Btw, the reason I saw your re-actions on youtube was because of the Pink Floyd songs you re-acted to. They are my fave all time band. I saw them live in 87, and in 94. I saw how much you enjoyed their music. I just know if you enjoyed Pink Floyd will enjoy Nightwish music as well. The keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen writes and composes most of their music. The Nightwish army refers to him as a modern day Mozart. All their lyrics are very poetically written.
I could go on and on with good things to say about this band, but you'll just have to see for yourself, I guess. lol.
Sorry for the lengthy comment, but I just love this band so much, and Floor is the only vocalist in my lifetime of listening to music, that could pierce my soul with every song I've ever heard her sing. Peace out.
