Tyson I've watched your channel for yrs.I'm getting rid of some tractors. One of them is a 930 case comfort king. All its done is pull a haybine for yrs. Thought maybe some one would need a good tractor. Just thought I'd mention it to you.

Nice having some grass to cut this year. Got 2.9” out of this last blast. Was at Donnelly to drop off a cross auger out of my haybine to get fixed. Looked like they had enough rain without this last blast from peace river down to there.

Hi Tyson. I bought a John Deere 445 and didn't realize it was using a lot of oil. My rings were shot. I think somebody didn't have the air filter on right as one of the fasteners was broken. I ended up getting they cylinders measured and the cylinders were out of spec so I got it bored out at a cycle shop 0.5mm and honed and put in new oversized pistons and rings. I also replaced the front plain bearing and of course all new seals, gaskets, and also the governor. It runs great now with lots of power and doesn't use any oil. My only complaint is it uses a lot more fuel than our Kubota with a 3 cylinder diesel. I use the 445 for snow blowing as well as mowing. I enjoy it very much for snow blowing as the gas engine is easy to start. It takes 1 hour to pull the engine so don't be scared about that. I also printed out a shop manual that helped me with rebuilding the engine. I had never done anything like that before and didn't find it too bad. Just had to be patient and take my time. I am from North of Saskatoon and have relatives in Fairview AB and Fort St. John BC.

On to the mower wonder if Valve seat came loose or valve guide bad, definitely worth pulling apart. 👍🏻

If you put red implements behind green tractors you really need to be careful. They're not intended to have to handle all that power. The way you do it with green implements behind red tractors it's safer. Waaaaay less power on those red ones teehee.

If you can make the time I’d say hone and new rings. Even if you could check with bore scope it would still have to come apart. You can always change coarse and do engine replacement if tear down shows it’s not feasible for rebuild. Just my thoughts.
