    The Festival of the Four Winds is one of Guild Wars 2 more unique festivals. Apart from a slew of fun activities and mini-games, it serves as one of the biggest material sinks of the year. You can trade in most basic materials, as well as a few others, for Zephyrite Supply Boxes. These will either return some materials, or, if you're truly lucky, an infusion that could be worth thousands of gold!
    Last year, I accumulated nearly 100k Silk Scraps at this point. This year... I forgot to prepare. That doesn't mean I won't do everything within my power to catch up and still amass enough resources to open a massive amount of boxes this summer, though. It just means we gotta strategize.
    To help come up with a strategy, I've prepared a spreadsheet, and have scoured through the wiki and GW2BLTC to make sure I'm not missing anything...

    Next year: "My takeaway ... 10k boxes is not nearly enough. Next time we'll get 20k or maybe 50k boxes"
    xD

      It's terrifying how probable this comment is. I need to remember to put it in next year's video :D

      Nice! It'll be either the best gold making method ever, or...

    Ugh, lately too much real life and not enough in Tyria. HELP! :D Thanks for the video!! I also love gathering, so, if/when I get back I will dedicate some time to doing just that!

      The good news is that you can always come back to Tyria when IRL settles down, without missing too much :)

    I have a newbie question: where do I find the routes to farm certain materials? I wanted to farm flax but simply couldn't find any place that would give me the best directions? should I use an add-on (such as blish hud? or taco?)? is there any website that can give me the routes/farming maps/spots? help pls

    • @JD-ls6ex
      @JD-ls6ex Před 14 dny +5

      There's some routes in blish hud

      There are a couple spots with multiple flax nodes next to each other. You can farm these on every character every day. That is the best way to farm flax.

      blish hud paths or gw2efficiency website has a gathering section which is pretty cool and you can select which materials you want including flax and it gives you a list of routes and waypoints

      They also added antique summoning stones to the super rare drops, that'll be a kick in the nuts.

    ... and for what? 100g profit? or depending on RNG (will I or Will not getting an infusion). Fun fact; you will make more gold running 24/7 Bitterfrost than relaying on these methods. A week in bitterfrost can net you about 300-350g if you sell all + the food. The zone is very small and easy to farm and navigate. Add to it a couple of metas while waiting for respaw chests and you're golden... in the long run.

      It's not about making a profit, it's about sending a message.
      (the message is probably 'help')

      It's literally just for fun. The cheapest box would cost me over 5s, with an average value of under 5s. The only way you turn a profit on these is with an incredibly rare drop.

      Wdym running bitterfrost? Like chests?

    • @nexeus7302
      @nexeus7302 Před 12 dny

      @@nitramx1470 chests + the berries which can net you an additional 100+ g assuming you have the recipe and craft the food. 10 alts can make you a day about 1k berries. While it's very profitable it will cause you heavy burnout repeating the same process.
      If you can stomach 10 days the same grind (with at leat 10 alts), 3k gold... at minimum.
