Where is PUTIN?!
@lexfridman - Thank you for your podcast. I didn’t even need to watch this one because I know the story and don’t need to hear Ackman lie. I think that Bill Ackman is a complete dirtbag and con artist. I despise people like him. All he did was sell short on Herbalife, then artificially influenced the market to get the stock price to drop. Thank God Carl Icahn was there to take the opposite position and scalp Ackman for $1B. Ackman’s claims against Herbalife were all investigated by the FTC and SEC, but no wrongdoing by the Herbalife business was found and there’s no enforcement actions taken against Herbalife. I don’t believe Ackman is a true billionaire through honest hard work. From all appearances, Ackman tried to disparage this company so he could gain a massive profit. What is so dirty about Ackman is that he has made his money off the backs of retail investors who do not have access to manage a hedge fund and influence the market. Ackman can direct those managers to do his bidding and bilk the retail investors out of their hard-earned money, which destroys their American dream. Carl Icahn’s investment in Herbalife drew the line in the sand against Ackman, who doesn’t appear to have any morals or integrity. Ackman looked to destroy the lives of the Herbalife employees and customers for his own greed.

I’ve been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $516k. I'm not sure how to make it grow, considering all the inflation, into something substantial that I might use for retirement. I just here for ideas
At a point like this its best recommended you seek the services of an advisor, as this allows you make smarter investing decisions.
It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $30k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
in times like these, it's crucial to be cautious and not rush into the market , Who is this your FA , my portfolio needs urgent attention
*Sharon Lynne Hart* is the licensed coach I use. Just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
Great Video. I'm a 52-year-old QA Specialist at Confluera, with an annual income of $150,000. Although I do have a retirement account, I'm keen on exploring short-term investment opportunities as I prepare to shift to part-time work in the near future. What would be the most suitable strategy to achieve my goals?
It's crucial to have a well-thought-out strategy and not make impulsive moves based on short-term market fluctuations. Patience and a long-term perspective are key. You should consider a market expert to guide you.
Opting for an inves-tment advisr is currently the optimal approach for navigating the stock market, particularly for those nearing retirement. I've been consulting with a coach for a while, and my portfolio has surged by 85% since 2023
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors I can connect with? I'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation

I don't believe in seeing friends daily. The other stuff is obvious however "little progress" doesn't make much sense either, either do a lot or a little. This is like some "live laugh love" stuff. The other stuff is obvious and some isn't in your control to the extent it's suggested.

This was a great interview. I never knew this side of Bill. Lex, interviewing more juggernauts in the financial world would be awesome!
Can you be specific. I didn't know he revealed anything that he didn't want revealed. This was a 3.5 hours public relations event.
@@ezeqrulsThe first hour was just him being a hype man for his portfolio. I guess that’s his job though.

The "Active Investing" section of this interview is absolute gold. Thank you Lex and Bill!
I really appreciate the dedication in each video you post. To be successful one has to have multiple income streams and so on, also investors should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Ann Elizabeth Messer focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $5900. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
You trade with Elizabeth Messer too? Wow that woman has been a blessing to me and my family.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I was skeptical at first till I decided to try. Its huge returns is awesome. I can't say much
Please interview more financial figures! Loved this, and have been following Ackman for a long time
Please don't; Lex didn't push back against Ackman's narrative once... it was 3.5 hours of PR (he becomes vague other than insisting he personally didn't make the plagiarism allegations against Gay: Christopher Rufo did. Does Ackman fund Rufo's foundation?). I totally believe the anonymous Jamaican cab driver story is representative; how about talking to pharmaceutical patients who were price-gouged by Valeant during the Ackman time? Only interview financial figures who can be objective: Buffett, Philip Pilkington. Although, I'd love to see Yanis Varoufakis go 15 rounds with Ackman.
Jim Simons would be gold

Yes
I just want to comment, the interview was fantastic, but I also want to credit Lex and his team for the quality of sound. I have had hearing issues over the past 4 years, hyper sensitive to the poor sound, that is all over this new internet form of media and information, a lot of times the sound is overlooked, you just accept it. But when it's dialed in, it is such a treat. And every time I listen I am so pleased in the interviews but also the great Sound!
What I like about Lex is he is a good listener. He is a simple man and a good listener.
He's also a smart person. It's all well to listen but you also need to ask the right questions and/or know how to respond or be the type of person with the type of perspective that responds in a way that furthers the conversation
Lex has the most interesting podcast on CZcams hands down

I actually went to the Dartmouth discussion after the attack on October 7th. I was extremely impressed by the panel. Given the circumstances, the room was full of tension, mixed emotions and rage. The room was extremely diverse. Many Israelis, Muslims and curious students. Overall, the professors on the panel did an incredible job and was happy to be a Dartmouth student that day. Looking back I am surprised to see how few institutions actually had an open discussion about the situation in Gaza/Isreal.
this interview is a goldmine of knowledge in the first hour at least. Very impressed with Bill Ackman
He was flawless. I’ve studied this a long time. Keeps it simple for the interviewer. And, Lex is brilliant of course!

Home run Lex! As a longtime subscriber it’s been an absolute pleasure watching the platform growth. And a big thank you to Mr. Ackman. Incredible episode.
Bill Ackman is 1 of 1. No Billionaire kicks it how he kicks it with sharing valuable information, and giving insight to private investing/equity.
It seems near impossible, but interviewing Grigori Perelman would be impeccable.
This is probably impossible as he is a complete recluse and I am not sure Lex's Russian is good enough to have complex conversations about math. But yes this would epic.
This would be amazing. Easily one the most important mathematicians of our time.
Gregory Perelman, is Mathematician, who lives reclusive life style., in his one bedroom apparent. In St Petersburg , Russia. I doubt he would agree to an interview. He refused $1,000,000 prize. However, it would be a great interview.
He's too busy picking mushrooms
He doesn't like interviews, he doesn't want to be famous.
I like the way Mr Ackman thinks. I really hope our financial system has more men like him in charge.
I'm wondering if he invests for good change and money is the byproduct....or invests for money and good change is the byproduct.
I think this is hands down one of the best talks with a finance professional out there - and I watch a lot of those. Mr. Ackman shared so much with the world to the point that can really help a lot of people to get there heads around the investing world and some of the intricacies involved in the business. So much value for free :) Thanks to Lex for making people like Mr. Ackman share their priceless experience with us! This episode is worthy of a documentary or a book.
I think it is intresting how he says activist investors are almost always good and have the best interest of the company but then he says his own company had an activist investor which pushed him towards his lowest point and resulted in him closing his original fund
Really enjoyed this conversation with Bill. We need more long-form interviews with such great investors !!
I started listening to your podcast back in 2018, its so cool to see how far you've gone with it. You get awesome guests and the style and flow of the podcast is always interesting. Its one of my go to listens. cheers
This was absolutely EXCELLENT! To see Bill talk in person like this after his tremendous fight against Wokeism and DEI was amazing. Thank you Mr Ackman for being brave and taking on the biggest problem and the biggest threat to our country - the DEI. We are counting on you to keep up on it. There is very little hope left with it. The problem is much more widespread than anybody realizes. Really hope it’s not too late.
What is DEI
@The_business_Podcast it stands for "diversity, equity, and inclusion." In reality, it is race Marxism, essentially a fusion of all of the worst ideologies of the 20th century (nazism/Stalinism). It has been embraced and propagated by academia, and now most large corporations are pushing this poison.

Did you ask him about tanking the market early 2020 with his ‘emotional’ fear mongering CNBC phone call, cashing out billions in his short position?
Bill Ackman didn't tank the market. Everyone sold on the lockdown plans.
why are you exposing his only strategy ?for all situations ?
Sounds like you were dumb enough to listen instead of making your own decision.
I guess all those people that read research reports (buy and sell) are all idiots for following the advice.
Bottom line… like everyone else he gave his view… you just blame him for what followed.
LOL it was Covid that tanked the market. He is not that influential he can wreck the entire global market. Then FED stepped in ALL IN and that was always what needed to happen to save market.
He forgot about the part when he does the pump and dump
Oops
Exactly!! Remember when Bill Ackman went on CNBC and screamed at the financial world for 23 minutes talking about the collapse of the world due to COVID??? AT THE SAME TIME he was shorting stocks and the market, MAKING BILLIONS!! Then when he knew the market was bottoming, he flipped his trading position and went long on the market when he knew the fed was going to inject massive stimulus. But needless to say, our memories are too too short.
But let’s dig further on Bill Ackman! He’s the same douche bag who had to go after the Harvard President for plagiarizing her dissertation (I get and agree on the consequences for her). But when Bill Ackman’s wife admits to her own plagiarizing of her dissertation, he like any good scumbag, justifies it away and goes after Business Insider for horrible reporting, and then like the world class scumbag that he is, he cheers on people losing their job.
I get the news industry isn’t trustworthy or even really valuable like they once were, but to cheer people losing their jobs is the depths humanity.
This is a great podcast! Enjoy every minute of the conversation! Thank you Lex and Bill for doing this!
Fascinating interview--a total example of an individual who believed he was about personal gain and was truly asleep to all that has been going on for decades without taking the time to question huge subjects. To say he is late to the party is obvious. He still has a great deal of introspection to achieve. I am glad for him that his journey is finally moving to a real human direction.
When u bring Grigori Perelman?
wow, if that's an option i will host a party to watch it
