How to make Shakshuka with a Bondi Harvest twist!

  • Hey guys! check it out our International dish shout out!
    We were so blown away by all the requests from you guys! Dishes from every part of the world! We unfortunately we couldn't pick them all!
    So, as requested by you, Shakshuka!
    It's super easy. super tasty.
    We put a bit of a Aussie Bondi Harvest twist on this recipe by adding prawns, kale, and macadamia nuts.

    Excellent! Shakshuka is originally a tunisian dish. I always add spinach to the base recipe. The word "Shakshuka" is a tunisian Arabic word which translates into "mish-mash", so you can basically add whatever you want ! Bondi-style shakshuka definitely looks awesome! :)

    Have never heard of this dish before, but looks epic, gonna do it for dinner at the weekend with family! I would never leave my Samsung in the sand on the beach though, Guy ;)

    I make it pretty similar (except the kale and the sea monsters, of course), but I add a teaspoon of sugar, too. Sugar takes of the acidity and bitterness of the tomato, and the whole dish will be more balanced. Sometimes I add some peeled and diced aubergine and courgette, too.

    this is a very nice recipe. the traditional way to make shakshuka is with tomatoes Onion garlic pepper spices and eggs (and it's also the way I cook this )

      You know of which I speak? No cover, no screen, good shape, $45. There's a Dutch oven for $65. I would east coast antique for you any day.

    a great rendition Guy. We cook ours in a Breville Country Kitchen (cast iron electric frypan), my most favourite piece of kitchen equipment. We also roast our capsicums for that sweet sweet smokey flavour.

      It was really easy after watching how you did it! Did a broth with the bones after and froze it! :) thankx again! Oh and could you maybe do a mauritian dish?

    You guys should make ayam lemak chilli padi which is chicken cooked in spicy coconut broth. Its super yummy! Best to eat it with rice!

    Could you do a chicken, mango avocado salad !? :) looks yum as

      Use those ingredients, dice up the mango into cubes, chop up the avocado, pan sear the chicken using coconut oil with some tumeric,chives and pepper, add toasted pinenuts and walnuts. Then add some baby spinach leaves, sliced cumumber and make a lemon lime vinegarette. Sprinkle some sea salt and ground pepper and thats done..thats my salad..try it :)
