- Intro - Surah Ale Imran, Verse 185:
لُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۗ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۖ فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ ۗ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ
Translation:
Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the delusion of enjoyment.

Assalamuailaikum Sheikh, it is really beautiful to hear all of the analysis and wisdom of Jannah and Jahannam. Sometimes I feel that from the sincere love to Allah SWT and our beloved prophet (SAW), we can devote ourselves towards our religion and practices. I believe Jannah and Jahannam but fear or rewards somehow does not come to my instinct or heart...I don’t know why. It is too much to carry. May Allah SWT saves us from hell fire and reward us for Jannah. Ameen. Fuad Ahmed

Jazakallahu khair. Imagine the heat of jahannam even in that tiny size should be able to extinguish the entire earth..it means the normal human body will disappear like a milliseconds.. Except, Allah redesigned the body, so it would be able to take the heat of jahannam.. May Allah protects us from all kind of punishment.

26:50 also, the hadith that says that if Jibreel were to use the edge of one of his wings to nudge the world it would destroy everything in it. This tells us how strong Allah made the angels, so 70,000 angels holding 70,000 chains to bring forth Jahannam will be a scary sight indeed 😱😱😱

found this hadith in Sunan Ibn Majah.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا . فَجَعَلَ لَهَا نَفَسَيْنِ نَفَسٌ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَنَفَسٌ فِي الصَّيْفِ فَشِدَّةُ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِهَا وَشِدَّةُ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ سَمُومِهَا " .
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The Fire complained to its Lord and said: ‘O Lord, parts of me have consumed other parts.’ So He gave it two occasions to exhale, one in winter and one in summer. The intense cold that you feel (in winter) is part of its severe frost (Zamharir) and the intense heat that you feel in summer is part of its hot wind (Samum).”

The hadith that speaks of heat of hell being in our earth is interesting, because dark energy which is pretty much heat that is mysterious and we don't know where its coming from is responsible for the rapid expansion of our universe and maybe even all 7 universes (heavens).

I grew up in the Pokemon loving generation. Since I was small I had known Jahannam was hot but later on I learned about the Ibn Abbas tafsir of Zamharir being cold part. Automatically my mind went to thought like, "if there's a fire type, & a cold type, then there may be an electric type area where people are punished through electricity…!"

Probably the very worst. So unimaginably severe it’s beyond any human comprehension. He gets the blasphemy and sin of everyone on him....that’s unbelievably severe....forever!

Question: is jahanam like a beast? Or is it like a planet or an engine(ie truck)? It seems like jahanam speaks when in the Quran they will ask it are you full? It will say are there more?
Narrations say it’s a beast but Allah knows best

@@simpleviewer7445 that was not his only reason he said it was narrated it was a beast. Eventhough he didn't answer who was the narrator. The other factor is that Jahanam will be dragged by angels to the day of the judgement.

I have a question to educate myself, why Jahannam has to be so extreme. Even if a person burned in 'fire of world' for a life time, it would be such painful to even think that.
I am not sure but I believe that the human body will be different in Janannam....much larger with thicker and heavier skin. I hope the body in Jahannam is mentioned in future episodes in this series.

Punishment are equivalent to the severity of sin, even if that person is sent back to earth that person will do the same even of he has an eternal life.
Another point is that the magnitude of punishment and reward is proportional to the importance of the entity transgressed against. Break a stone, no one bats an eye. Kill plants, people look at you weird. Kill cats, people will call animal control. Kill humans, pay with your life. Disobey God, Hellfire for eternity. Allah forgive me if I have misrationalized. And Allah knows best.
