In my personal opinion... 1990s to 2017.. the music was changing in 2017 but it still had good songs just like the years after 2017 but the ratio of good songs that were standing apart from others and not the same genre is nonexistent with a few exceptions. 2018 to now has no soul.. it all feels kinda fake or synthetic if you will. Pop, rap, R&B, house, and contemporary were all at their peaks in that time. Now? It all feels wrong because it's all so similar. It's no longer trying to create music it's becoming just a job and when something that has an industry this big moved away from creativity and spreading good vibes etc and turns to what it is now.. a job, it's never going to reach the same height as it did when the music artists were varying in age, talent, style, and overall vibes instead of being so similar you can't tell who sings what.
