Milunka Savic was an incredible warrior, performing bravely in the Balkan Wars and WW1, being wounded nine times. But her story is much more; in WW2, she refused to attend a dinner given an official who was a Nazi sympathizer since Germans would also attend. For this, she was sent to a concentration camp (which she survived). After WW1, the French offered her citizenship and a comfortable pension, but she refused and returned to her beloved Serbia where she worked as a cleaning woman. Some of Milunka's awards for valor:
    (2) Karadorde Stars with Swords - Serbia
    (2) Legion d’Honeur - France
Cross of St. George - Russia
Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael - Great Britain
    Milos Obilic Medal - Serbia.
Croix de Guerre with Gold Palm - France (the only woman awarded this medal in WW1)
    Great reaction, keep rocking Sabaton

Her unit spent some time in one French army so she got their medals during that time. I dont know about russian and UK medals. A lot of black spots in her biografy. that is good thing for movie scenario writers :)

1:31 Yugoslavia split off from the SU in 1948 (although it remained under communist rule pretty much until it fell apart).

And it wasn’t under communism, it was under socialism.
You truly are ignorant in history, read a book before trying to correct others bud.

Also, regarding what u said about it being sad that no other woman has gotten more medals than her yet. Think about it. In both world wars, it may have been "easier" to get medals, sort of like a boost of morale, and whatnot. Maybe even to promote enough to get them off the front lines.
But in these days, it is much harder to get those medals at all. At least, I suspect it isn't as easy to get all those medals in today's time. But I maybe well be wrong. Just what I think.

One thing you seem to disregard is that Milunka Savic was awarded more medals for valor than almost all of the men who fought in these wars, and she was awarded them by multiple governments, not just her own. She fought in front line combat units, something most militaries do not allow (except for some exceptions like the Israeli military). As far as the comment about it being easier, that is just silly.

@@alancarter41 Lol I meant no disregard to her. But how easy do you think it is today to get a medal from another country? Hard. Harder than back then coz its harder to get a medal even from your own country.
Furthermore, how many wars has happened since ww1 and ww2 that has given many soldiers the chance to get these kinds of medals? I mean there are a lot of wars going on all the time in the world, but for one sole country? America would be the odd one out since, huh, which war haven't the US been meddling in? But how many have gotten this amount of medals since ww2 time?

@@FemaleSniper86 No worries. And you make an excellent point. Since WW2, there have been no conflicts where combatants have formed the type of alliances we saw in WW1 and WW2. maybe the Gulf War, but it was so short there was little time for soldiers to earn awards for valor. I know some soldiers who have earned awards from other countries while serving on NATO missions, but they are all commendations, not awards for valor. And I worked with a gentleman from Quatar who commanded a tank regiment who was awarded The Silver Military Medal for Valor from Kuwait.

🤣🤣🤣 You're right. It is much harder to earn a medal for bravery today... operating a joystick from a hundred kilometers away from the battlefield and "bravely" bombing (mostly civilians) from 10 kilometers high... as opposed to trench warfare before (hand grenades, knives and direct man-on-attacks man). "Experts" with joysticks in their hands are incomparably greater heroes than the old knights who fought as men... even if they are women. ..😂😂😂

She even survived concentration camps and being persecuted for her being a Serbian (Serbs were the third most persecuted after Jews and Poles).
She fought in Africa, Balkans, France, Germany front.
      She deserves everything.
