I,m Bulgarian but Milunka Savic Great Hero.Respekt.Thanks for Sabaton history and Indy.Great hero and great song.Tnanks for good coment budy
Every reaction i watch of this video, i have to say. Those trumpets when she reveals those medals in the beginning gives me chills. I need the name
Milunka Savic fought in numerous engagements, starting with the Balkan wars (where she disguised herself as a man and took her brothers place since he suffered from tuberculosis) and continuing through WW1 where she fought in both the Serbian and French armies. She was wounded nine times and earned 12 military awards for valor from four countries. After WW1, the French offered her citizenship and a pension, but instead she returned to her beloved Serbia. When the Germans invaded Serbia in WW2 she organized an infirmary which treated partisans, an action that resulted in her being sent to a concentration camp. Among her medals are:
2x Serbian Karađorđe Star with Swords
2x French Légion d’Honneur (Legion of Honour)
Russian Cross of St. George
British medal of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael
Serbian Miloš Obilić medal.
French Croix de Guerre 1914-1918 with the gold palm (she is the only female recipient of this award)
Thank you! Greetings from Belgrade🇷🇸
Nothing strange to talk about history when listen to Sabaton, they are history. And a very good band.
The flag is probably just a symbol for the video itself. To show her nationality. And she was proud enough to continue living in Serbia, despite I think it was France who offered her a full pension if she moved to France.
Story of her goes basically that she took a lot of prisoners, rather than straight out shooting the enemy if she could avoid it. But of course she had to first get to that point, right. So she was a badass who feared nothing.
When she was wounded the doctors found out she was a woman, she would be basically taken off field duty, but the saying goes that she stood at attention outside the generals door until he let her go back to fighting.
So not only was she brave, but she had a heart of steel.
4:58 *two soldiers get blown up by a grenade
Harmonic Chaos: "THIS IS EPIC!"
No Other Band honors the veterains of the wars
WWI Serbian division flags. Not a single one was captured by enemy during 4 years of warfare. This is why she was wearing a flag in this video, it's symbolizes freedom
Regarding the flag thing. Not a single one regiment flag of the Kingdom of Serbia was captured by the enemy in WW1 (every single one of them is on a display in the Military History museum in Belgrade). The flag barriers were chosen to be best of the best to protect the flag.
All serbian war flags were saved to being destroyed from enemies...at least almost all.
some sources say that of the 51 flags assigned to the Serbian regiments since 1911, during the 2 Balkan Wars and WW1, all 51 were preserved, and some 47. So the Serbian flag certainly had a much greater meaning than a simple symbol for Serbian heroes and warriors. Greetings
Bro Camon in Bulgaria muzei capture Serbian flag.Evry nacion have capture flag .
machine gun along a trench to clear it when enemy raids it, usually the trenches had only 15-20meter sight line along them and preferably sharp 90 degree cotners to prevent shrapnel, bullets travelling long before they hit dirt...
this was very deliberate as if perfectly straight you could otherwise wipe soldiers of an entire regiment by just jumping down with a pair if machine guns (like here) or artillery grenade hitting middle of trench and everyone 150-200 m each side being hit by fragments flying along trenches...
Yarn Hub makes video games. They did the animation for all of the Sabaton videos in that format.
Your simple enjoyment AS a reaction is all I ever want from a new fan! 👍
The band gives us really catchy, anthemic sing-along songs...w the bonus of learning cool stuff! They are reliably enjoyable!
Maybe a live video next? The Last Stand (about the Swiss Guard in 1527), or Attack of the Dead Men (about chemical warfare...read the video description!) Both songs have official live videos.
Bro every Sabaton song is so nerdy but sounds awesome, I love it. Keep up the good work, and hopefully we'll have some Clamavi De Profundis and Connor Price reactions soon!
I’m not going to give specifics… but you might be getting hyped in the next three to five business days…
They did more animated stories
Great❤
