This WC final between Trump and Higgins with two 147 attempt by them both was unbelievable! Оne of the greatest match ever! It was three years ago already, and I still can't believe that them both miss an easy black/red, after making two greatest pots of this tournament. This must be a final with two 147 breaks by both participants.
I vaguely remember, a good few years back, Gary Wilkinson potiing 15 reds/blacks and missing a mid-range yellow. I think it was in the World Champs. Somebody please tell me I'm not imagining it!
Closest i've ever gotten to a maximum (while it was still on) is 56. The split on the reds has to go your way and i'm just trusting to hope when I play a canon like that. Whereas these pros are pretty reliable at calculating the optimum point of contact, pace and spin. Highest break otherwise is 71. I'll crack the century one day. And probably never hit the 147. Especially as I haven't played in over a year now.
I've had total clearances, many hundred breaks and multiple frames with 2 70+ breaks in the same frame but was just never good enough to get a 147. Gutted. Its next level above us.
