X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is the sequel to the 2004 X-Men Legends. It was released in 2005 for the Xbox, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Gamecube. It even received an N-Gage release. It is an action roleplaying game that allows you to choose and control a team of 4 out of a pool of 18 playable characters from the X-Men universe. It was well received at time of release and is one of the predecessors to to the very popular Marvel Ultimate Alliance games.

Yes, he was. They never really treated these characters as the Ultimate characters though, usually referencing 616 continuity in things like quizzes or bios.
