In Italy, Razer has never been an option: problem solved 😎
Lol
Sad truth.
Same in India.
😂
Same in India 😂
The 3080ti in a Razer laptop is such a bad value. It's too low of a TGP compared to other laptops but still costs the same to upgrade to it. On Razer's website they list the TGP of both the 3070ti and 3080ti as 105W... anyone considering this laptop should 100% save their money and buy the 3070ti version as you'll get better thermals and probably identical performance.
"A Razer laptop is such a bad value" there, I fixed it for you.
Again, ask the one that gonna use. 8gb vs 16gb vram is the true reason people paid more. Like he heck why people bought 4k in a laptop, it make no sense if you just want a sharper display…the truth is 4k is a better panel in color accurate, that only behind newer panel like oled, q oled, mini led. For gaming i don’t thing any gamers will even consider razer for mainstream gaming. So the point here is don’t just judge people base on your point of view
@@bfish9700 then again, depend on your point of view. For me it actually have better value than those “creator” laptop. Sure, it is not best of the best nor offer you the most value…but just look at razer blade vs dell xps, msi modern, acer d concept…
@@love2k380 id def say the victus if youll be hooking it up to a monitor; if youll be playing on the laptop itself, the katanas 144hz would be better. Also look at the tgp
@@love2k380 all those graphics card are trash, unless you want to upgrade within 2 years again then dont get it. get RTX 3060 minimum
6:56 A bit of an unrelated question I have here.
I recently just got the 2021 version of the Zephyrus g15, but since I got it, I have been experiencing a lot of internet speed slowdowns and dropouts when gaming that I didn't experience on my old laptop. I know that my g15 has one of the MediaTek cards in it so my question is should I be considering getting a new wifi card (like one from the killer or intel) for the laptop or are there other steps I can take to remedy this issue? I have tried searching if anyone else with this laptop has had similar problems, but I couldn't find anything so any advice is welcome.
Buying a gaming laptop is like searching for the holy grail.
It would be amazing if Razer made it possible to choose between either the Black colorway or the Silver colorway from the Studio Edition and Productivity line!!... I mean they already have all the other customizing options, seems easier than GPU power numbers
Hey Jarrod is it normal for the Razer Blade with the RTX 3080Ti to get warm. It's almost like an uncomfortable warm as if the laptop is over heating.
Idle temps are around 50/59c..... Laptop just gets really warm and not sure if that is normal because of the Blades aluminum case
I think its due to the aluminum chassis, and vapor chamber cooling, while in stress test or gaming my blade will always be under 80 gpu and under 90 cpu
I have that problem with my 2019 Blade with a 2060 in it. The part above the keyboard and below the screen gets really freaking hot. However even at this uncomfortable temp it still ran games fine with no issue. I'm actually looking to upgrade to a newer blade 15 despite having some issues. Its been through a lot and yet it keeps on working as it should.
Jarrod cant you toggle the auto refresh rate update through the intel command center?
It if works on my laptop it has to work on others.
SO whats conisdered the best 15 inch latop that is the lightest/sleekest? Ive been eyeing the Zephrus G 15 with the amd cpu and a 3070 gpu...
Hi 👋🏽
Im thinking of purchasing razer blade 15 3070 and wanted to get your opinion whether go get or save for 3070 ti version instead? How big are the difference between the two?
Thank you!
Thank you for your channel. I really appreciate how much information you present, and how concise you are.
You are so welcome!
Would love to see a refresh of the Blade 13 Stealth. That was my favorite feeling laptop I've ever owned. Had the 1650Ti model.
i still have this one and the oled panel with it is amazing
Can you do a review of the 2022 Razer Blade 17 3080 TI with the 360 hz display? I am really curious what kind of fps you can get with that laptop on ray tracing games with DLSS disabled since it is only 1080P. I like the idea that with the 165 watt variant of the 3080 TI and a 1080p 360 hz screen you can just max out all settings without the need for any AI enhancement.
Hey Jarrod, any chance to review Asus VivoBook Pro 16X Ryzen with 120Hz OLED display that you showcased recently?
It seems like the best option for an OLED laptop for watching content and playing games in HDR quality.
Hey jarrod,auros 15G i7 10870h 3060
Is it still good?what is bad about it and should i go for the 11800h same laptop?
Hi Jarrod! I was wondering if you are planning to review the Asus Strix scar 17 because I am trying to buy it if it comes available. Anyway great content :)

3080Ti with 110W cap? Does it make sense to run a 3080Ti at such low wattage when we have some laptops giving 150W for 3070Ti?
Have you reviewed the Gigabyte G5 RTX 3060 model? If not, will it be reviewed in the future?
Once again, lovely review as always!
Can you tell me what is better for gaming? the FHD 360HZ or the QHD 240HZ?
How good is the battery life off battery and on?
You said that the 1440 display has gsync, also for the oled 1440 panel?
Hey Jarrod, for RDR2 what does “High” settings mean? Is every option in the game set to high or is the slider set to high? Also what type of anti aliasing is being used?
I don't think there was any anti aliasing being used. But I could be wrong though.
does it support multi monitor where use display port with usb c hub
Another great review, thanks. It would be cool if you someday made a best sounding Laptop that isn't a Macbook Pro 16 inch :)
Still use my 2018 Razer Blade 15 been durable so far. The laptop now unfortunately doesnt close all the way but other then that has lasted me 4 years. Disappointed to see the same features I have complaints on mainly the charger shape is horrendous but also disappointed on not much of a design upgrade these past 4 years
What is the best gaming laptop with the same display? Considering price is not a problem?
Are you (or have you already) going to review the Acer Aspire 5 budget laptop? I'm not a heavy gamer, but I do livestreams occasionally. I currently have one and am going to upgrade its 128 GB ssd to at least a 1TB SSD and going from the standard 4GB of DDR4 to at least 16.
Nice Video Jarrod, please tell the type of HDMI cable you are using (one with the rgb lights)

Why is the design similar to my Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2019)?
what are your thoughts on the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 Ryzen 7 5800 RTX 3060 16GB Ram?
I have been using my Blade 14 from last year with 3070 pretty heavily and no battery bloating. I think this is a small amount of people that had this problem in the past. I am still amazed at the build quality and power of such a small laptop. I am also surprised that I don't really notice the fans much when playing games. Other laptops I have owned were headphone only laptops.
My Razer blade 15 has bloated battery issues after 2 years of using. My laptop chassis is now deformed as the result, despite the so called "best built" label. Good luck if you are only 1 year into using.
@@kimura3033 I have a Blade 15 also and will be using it w/o the battery. Why? No possibility of battery bloat + you can't game right on it w/o being plugged in. I got really thin laptops like Surface Pros for regular laptop use.
@@zerocal76 Do laptops work like that? Can you remove the battery and still operate it by plugging it in?
@@SahiPie Of course! All the battery does in a laptop is allows you to use it without being plugged in. So no battery but plugged in is like having a desktop. Still works!
Not all laptops have that ability. My Alienware won't power on unless the battery is hooked up.
Entre este razer y el ROG Zephyrus M16 del GU603, cuál es mejor y también quién te da más por tu dinero?
Jarrod please review the new Legion 5 6800h or 12700h with 1080 webcam and how the screen accuracy compares to to the legion 5 pro's
A review of the new QHD 240hz OLED would be fantastic.
i totallly agree
It looks like the Legion 5 with 3060 is faster at 1080p than any other laptop at 1440p. You really need to value pixel density to get a QHD laptop.
How's this laptop with running old school RuneScape if anyone has it
this laptop with QHD+ 144hz, 3080Ti,32GB and 1TB is on sale for 1900CAD, as you may recall this SKU used to be 4500CAD not too long ago. Would you recommend the SKU I mentioned for 1900CAD? I mean I can't find a decent 4060 for the same money. I noticed in your benchmarks it was between full fledged 3070 and 3080 variants, so it is somewhere around 4070 performance. Thoughts?
After having a legion 7, and a 5, I personally don't care for all metal machines at all. While my 5 gets hot directly above the gpu and cpu, the rest of the plastic chassis is comfortable to touch and use. The 7 on the other hand acted like a heat sink and the entire machine is either dangerously hot or uncomfortably hot when gaming.
I couldn't agree more. I don't know why others don't call this out. This was my experience as well.
Depends on the design
@@ethangoldwyre I've yet to find one with an all metal chassis, or a metal keyboard deck where those components didn't get excessively hot. And to be fair, maybe I'm asking too much, but that's ok, because plastic is an option.
@@ethangoldwyre Even my work MacBook Pro 16 Intel gets hot doing basic tasks. So far, I'm not impressed with metal machines due to the heat.
@@heroofharo most notebooks have been fine in my experience
I got everything I wanted to know, My deepest gratitude!
Do you think this laptop is worth it or is it better to wait for a 2024 model from some other brand?
how does this compare to the ASUS strix?
Am I weird in that I don't like gaming or other visual media on a matte display? I feel spoiled by glossy displays like on the XPS 15/17, as when I try a matte panel I just can't get into it as much.
Same as you! I really miss the all-glass screen panel on 4k models of the 2021 and earlier generations. Luckily I got one and It exceed my expectation on performance and scalability. Maybe I will post some content about upgrading and maintanance. UwU
I have a blade 15 with rtx 3070 and 360hz 1080p display. I really enjoy the machine. Performance is decent and the finish / quality is top notch. I could get better performance for the money, but the premium quality and small chassis is a good trade off
You could have got a better spec'd laptop for a grand less.
Like a 2022 msi ge76 with a 3070ti,and a 240hz QHD screen.
Razer laptops are massively overpriced.
@@NGT4LIFE Just because you dont care about build quality does not mean everyone doesn't
@@NGT4LIFE Razer laptops aren't for everyone. Some people like myself prefer the slimmer, all aluminium chasis and that smaller form factor over those thick, ugly, chunky piles of plastic, while some others prefer the best performance a laptop can produce.
Yes, it sacrifices some performance and it's obviously very expensive, but I like to go for the highest quality when possible. I also don't fancy laptops that aren't portable because they just go against the very purpose of a laptop. If what you're looking for is performance, you'll be better off just building a gaming desktop which will give so much more performance for the same price.
Yeah, but MSIs are trash, sooo...
I love razers design but I can't use it outside, battery life is wery low. I think razer should use AMD processor, Amd have 5nm tecnology. I'm curious about your thoughts. Some people realy want better battery life.
Hey Jarrod, do you think the 2022 Blade 17 is also built the same way?
Yes, I just chose to use different click bait for this one 😎
Best part of Jarrod's videos is his taste in T-shirts (music).

So you’re saying the most expensive laptop on the market, costing around 7.5k AUD is pretty decent? It’s an interesting video but honestly I can’t justify spending that much money.
I’ve really been digging your videos because I’m in the market for a gaming laptop, thanks for all the content. I’m leaning towards a metabox setup at the moment spending around 2.7k AUD
I hate that my Acer predator as so very view options when it comes to bios and software I wished I had gone wit the Razer Blade 15 instead.
If you could extend your Linux support test to include whether external monitor work out of the box that would be appreciated. HDMI, dp, usb-c. Ive an ungodly number of issues across multiple laptops and have had to go distro hopping in hope find one that 'just works'
Thanks for your input, I'll consider adding it :)
18:44 Did you give up on testing Pop!_OS or did you just choose to test Ubuntu again from now on?
Also, I think I know why everything worked so well out of the box on Ubuntu (apart from the Wi-Fi, which like you said, probably will do better with a newer driver); Razer partnered with another company (I can't remember the name) to sell a Linux version of the Blade 15.
I binned it because it only booted on 50% of machines. I just have to assume Wi-Fi is never going to be good by default so maybe I'll just stop mentioning it.
@@JarrodsTech I think it used to be no problem for Killer/Intel based Wi-Fi cards as the drivers had much better Linux support, however, since they've released the 6E cards, it's been not great. To be fair, on my 17 inch Blade, I got working Wi-Fi out of the box, even with a live sessions; granted, that was an Arch-based distro (not Manjaro) and they usually have newer Linux kernels and thus better support for brand new hardware sooner.
@@JarrodsTech As for Pop!_OS, I unfortunately agree that scrapping it and going back to Ubuntu is a better choice. While not MY first choice, it's still a very popular distro and I'm glad you test Linux support at all! 😀
i had and older model, but i selled because when i need to use ubuntu the thermal was awful no fan controls and the metal burns, maybe a small stress test in linux was a good choice.
any suggestions for a great office laptop?
It's pretty interesting to see how all these new hardware only give incremental improvements for games. Goes to show that there's clearly more value in getting a steep discount with previous year's models rather than paying close to full retail prices for the very latest hardware when it comes to gaming.
All these chips are power limited, just get the highest wattage midrange Gpu you can reasonably carry instead of going for last gen.
@@Kevin-fl7mj higher wattage doesn't just mean thicker laptop, it also means significantly louder fan noise and more heat. It's just not something that can exist in its full form in a thin/light form factor.
@@exynos2989 Dont agree at all, thin and light's are mostly for anorexic or elderly women not even joking.
That’s mobile gaming for ya.
Not at all you're spending same $ per FPS.
Battery bloat can be mostly avoided by limiting the maximum charge state to 80% if you leave the laptop(or whatever lithium based device) plugged into a charger most of the time. Most Dell, Lenovo, and HP enterprise laptops have this setting avaialble in the BIOS, and i think it should come as standard on every laptop/tablet/phone.
I'd much rather have a phone that only lasts a day and a half instead of 2, rather than need to replace the battery/phone every 2 years. Same goes for a laptop/car
The battery bloat issue is linked to the heat inside the blade chassis (all metal doesn't help) its too thin and too hot thus the battery bloats
3.5 years in, no battery bloat!
This is becoming commong knowledge, to max charge to 80 but how do we let the battery charge to just 80% on a laptop? I have 2 Blades, would be quiet useful but very few laptop manufacturers offer that battery option.
@@zerocal76 with my consumer lenovo laptop there is a little slider for "conservation mode", for the enterprise lenovo laptops at work you can enter a manual percentage in "lenovo commercial vantage", and on the dell enterprise laptops at work you can set a custom charge range in the BIOS.
I had the charger connected to my laptop almost all the time when I use my Razer....Battery got bloated and damage the chasis. I think it's getting worse.
Imagine if razer decides to make a thicker lineup of their laptops to max out performance and build quality. They would probably call it the razer claymore series
The blade 17 is already pretty heavy and gets 165w TGP
@@Supcharged And they recently made a bios update with a 10W increase in GPU to get the full juicy 175W for that 3080ti.
I wonder how so much can fit in a tiny box
What exactly is the difference between Mux Switch and Advanced Optimus ?
A Mux Switch allows ya to use the discrete GPU directly instead of routing it through the inbuilt GPU which is done to increase the battery life when the laptop is used unplugged at the cost of performance hit .
Advance Optimus is a currently an Intel ONLY feature that allows ya to switch from the inbuilt to discrete GPU without needing to restart the system
How do people choose between the Blade 14", 15" and 17"?
I'll have a comparison coming with just that :)
the spec option is not sensible. 110w 3080 ti? why not a 125w 3070ti that preform better and cheaper
Might get the oled 240hz version that is comming, hopefully also with next gen gpu/cpu
Thanks for the review, could you please check out the amd version
What 27'' or 32'' gaming monitors would be fit for this laptop?

Anything else I need to take into consideration? Thanks
Sorry I’m late but I got a Razer 17 laptop and paired it with an Asus Tuf Curved 32 inch 1440p HDR 165hz monitor. It’s a great monitor for any laptop or pc if your still looking for one or want to upgrade yours!
It has 1MS response and AMD free sync
I’m watching this on my 2022 Razer Blade Pro Rtx 3070 165hz 2460x1440 . I love mine. Coming from 2019 Razer Blade 15 Rtx 2070. Razer feels premium.
I was told by Razer Tech support when using a second monitor on the Razer laptop it becomes 60hz no matter if the monitor can do 120hz or 240hz plus
I really hope Razer improved the durability of the keyboard RGB LEDs. At work we use a couple of previous generation Razer 17 models and all of them have burned out LEDs. Not what I expected from premium laptops. 👎
Awesome video as always!
i’m still using my 2016 blade 14 and i had battery bloating issues after 2-3 years
