I am hyped for this. Sektor, Sonya, Motaro, -all buffed, plus a meta shift away from kham whose been his hardest kameo matchup I think he might finally be the solid mid/high tier we expected hed be from launch.

I like that idea of the wall staying up. Maybe for the same length as the sand clone. With that being said. That should be his sand clone set-up on hit. Do the wall string. They should be in hit stun long enough that the clone can be activated and continue the kombo while the wall stays up the length of the sand clone. That would be dope.
Geras needs so much more than this. His time abilities for some reason are stubby. B/f 1 can be a pain. This tick throw needs more to keep the opponents guessing. More throws would help him as well. The tick throw can go through multiple times. Why not have most of his moves be able to throw you? B 1 should be able for you to use a tick throw if the opponent is blocking.
@ForeverKing That's what I'm talking about. B1 can be so much better. It's such a shame we aren't seeing his full potential. I guess we'll see what else buffs he gets.
I'm curious to know if since it's plus on hit if we'll be able to follow up with something else instead of an immediate time freeze. Could lead to people being more nervous about the second hit than the last. Also this is kind of a lame buff I'm glad we got something but I figured we'd be getting better frame data across the board on some of his moves. Also them fixing a bug doesn't really count as a buff since it should've never been there in the first place.
I switched to Ermac too when he dropped. He’s super cool and I loved his range. That being said, I switched back to Geras a couple weeks ago. I just couldn’t dominate with Ermac the same way I do with Geras. I felt like I had to work 3 times as hard as my opponent with all his cancels. His damage for the effort you need to put out for some of his combos is low. And if you’re on a laggy connection forget it. I just wasn’t winning against opponents I KNEW I could destroy with Geras. Ermac just wasn’t for me.
@@ForeverKing Frosts new ambush is an icewall. They showed it in Kombat Kast I think it was when they were talking about Kameo buffs and Takeda. This was my thoughts as well, whether it counts as an actual corner or not, so whether the command grab damage buff is applied or not
You have a point. Geras might be broke after this patch because he'll be able to load th le hour glass too often. They may have to nerf hourglass or make it 3 bars for a full glass. Or 2 bars for half-hour glass and 4 load ups for a full hourglass from scratch. Meaning he would have to load up 4 times to get it full.
@youngdresbaby nah Geras is low tier currently. The Motaro buff is good, but it's not good enough to make Geras skip past 20 characters on the tier list and just go from bottom tier this patch to top tier next patch

@ForeverKing Assuming he stays the same, this motaro buff alone brings him past half the kast imo. He already has really good tools. He just lacks in the reach department. With the ability to stack hourglass possibly 4-6 times in a match is bonkers. At that point, he can literally beat a majority of the kast with running out the time.
I have looked at....I think it's Super's breakdown of Kombat Kast and I believe it's still meter burned but you CAN now cancel out of the teleport if you meter burn the teleport....if I remember correctly
Been trying out geras lately and i am having a hard time timing his 1 bar breaker rewind time. Is it better to do it during the opponents launching combo starter or perhaps towards the end? 😅😅 it’s a funky move I don’t fully understand yet
@@koalabearkhan145 at the start of the combo’s are typically better. Anything that gets you back to the health you were is ideal. It gives you health back for the last 3 seconds

@@DreBagsGaming that has to do with how mk1 reads inputs. If you input 3 or meter burn too many times or one too many, it tends to ignore the input. A lot of specials get read that way

They’re never gonna make his base HP 1000 when Geras gets free HP recovery from his hourglass breaker.
Why would he have 1000 health when he gets health recovery from the first hourglass breaker anyways?

Geras used to be able to cancel f1+2 into kameo extension and I wonder if that’s possible again.
