I like to compete in fighting game tournaments, primarily Mortal Kombat and Injustice. I've placed top 8 at Evo on three separate occasions in Mortal Kombat 9. Also I was ranked top 5 in the world or higher at some point or another in Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Kombat X, and Injustice 2.

Your Geras is lit! Can you go over the general thinking process (flowchart, strategy, etc.) of how to approach matches as a beginner/ intermediate Geras player? A live commentary thought process video would be nice! Thanks!

@@ForeverKing it can be neutral ducked, but it definitely has potential. I'm maining Takeda/Sub & Frost. Haven't had much time with Ferra yet. I sidelined Kenshi for now.

@@ForeverKing I found out you can do that, you can also use f44 k1 and get a safe clock charge without bar or snap. And you can do 212 into up kameo and get a corner combo extender with stand 1 from air ferra kameo

@@botlevelone798 it's a timing thing you gotta get used to it. If you press the button too fast after entering Torr stance it won't come out

Recent lore is he’s the cousin to Kenshi, he’s all human with advanced tech (lashes, those little mines he throws I don’t know their name. The only cyborgs are Cyrax and Sektor

Hey @Foreverking... Idk man.. one of the issues I have with players is that they use projectiles and stay at the end of the screen and when I try to close the distance they clip me... and it takes time to build or use the Timestop , one use you have to start again and by that time your opponent pummel you with chips and you basically trying to get close enough to do damage.. Geras have great assets but only when in motion... so I figured maybe they could EX his sand storm into like a "homing" device that zero in on ppl that like to ride the edge of the screen and it would make it easy to timestop them and they will get tired of a stronger chip maybe 10% when blocking and running away all the time, maybe use like half of one bar.. to atleast give you much more of a fighting chase.. because every other character can steam roll your a## ... and he needs at aleast a better string or random string system to help.. its so noticeable when you do his strings...
Sand pillar should block projectiles 🤷🏽♂️

I play on a fight stick and I am learning how to use alternate controls this might be a stupid question but does input shortcuts work together with alternate controls?

Ngl I’ve been playing with that alternate control on all this time with ermac & it’s done nothing but restrict my combos I’ve taken it off & my ermac looks like sonic fox had the controller

@@ForeverKing Frosts new ambush is an icewall. They showed it in Kombat Kast I think it was when they were talking about Kameo buffs and Takeda. This was my thoughts as well, whether it counts as an actual corner or not, so whether the command grab damage buff is applied or not

Never tried with Geras. I usually like to have ambush
Thought he get a better d1 atleast.. and something more towards better frames on certain buttons or strings... but will have to see
