Nice to see an original looking 964 that hasn't been butchered to look like a '70s car...
Shut the hell up.
Sportec and Singer do amazing back-dated cars.
I always advocate 'Save the 964s' Hate how they're chopped off..
Or chavved up to look like a special track edition
As someone that lives in Miami the Hispanics would not be able to live without them
Agree, could say the same for all the backdated 3.2s and SCs.
Chris we need you in this space. One of the few real enthusiasts on CZcams who actually knows what they are talking about.
The 1 that flew away
Who the f*ck is moaning he is selling cars. We all have to earn a living. Keep it up team Collecting Cars.
Because he also has a career as a critic, objectively reporting on which cars are good and bad. If Jay Rayner had a side gig telling you how incredible Harvester restaurants were, would you trust his reviews of other restaurants as much? Can't be poacher and gamekeeper.
His living was writing articles on cars, he’s sold out and is now Swiss Tony, but by the looks of him he is more Swiss Roll 😂
Maybe the best sign off of a Chris Harris video ever
Yeah, same feelings these days. I thought maybe we'd be getting some classic CH driving videos, but they've all been... meh🤔
It is perfect. Those wheels, that color combo, that original Blaupunkt. It's a time capsule. Amazing.
Porsches and Mercedes of this time period are the best German cars.
They should rename this series to "Sales Pitch". It'd be quite amusing, and no one would be able to complain.
Contrary to the main crowd, I actually think that the C4 is the best variant of the 964. The AWD system is derived from the 959 (no longer available on the 993) and the 964 does not have multi-link suspension, so it benefits from it more. Lovely specimen showed.
The only TV motoring personality I can think of that would unashamedly show excitement for a Blaupunkt Berlin. Us 80s car audio anoraks feel seen!
Beautiful condition in the flesh
My Dad's was an '89 F plater in Guards red, LHD chassis number 12 iirc. I inherited it but it's now sold. These were so much better than the previous torsion bar cars - nicer to drive and far less prone to the rot that afflicts the older ones. A pity so many were ruined trying to make them look older.
Why is this only 3 minutes? Im sure Chris could have talked about this for ages!
Little Chris was getting cold!
@@seankeef9838 ya he wanted away to be fair
2:44
The man said he was freezing! 😂
Still, would much rather take 3 minutes of Chris than 15 minutes of Doug Turd
Next things for Chris to sell.

Loved my 964, bought for peanuts, sold for peanuts , but the fun we had was priceless 🙏🏻
Love this from Harris! High levels of geekery on display, reminiscent of the warehouse walk around of AMG and M Cars from a while back! More please 😊
Unsold. Who would of guessed that would happen 😂
Those look like 928 wheels to me .
Yep - and while it's a good enough design of wheel, in and of themselves, I don't think they add anything special to this model. To me, they're just not a style that compliments the older model.
Can’t help but admire the sacrifice you make for your craft. If I could buy it,I would
Not D90s. Either 928 S4 or one off rims.
Quite glad Chris Harris admitted this was a plug video. Can’t really see him being that bothered about electric seats or ruffled leather tbh!
That is one of the nicest cars I have ever seen.
I have never seen a 911 with those wheels, I thought they only came on 928’s.
I'm so glad Chris Harris is as of now the only bigger Car Content Creator on CZcams who isn't doing Clickbait a la "I bought this (car model name) and it's a nightmare!" with an additional Clickbait Thumbnail of said car with photoshopped Damage and Fire as well as a huge RED ARROW pointing at it.
It seems like all the popular Car CZcamsrs now resort to focusing on that kind of Nonsense a la Hoovies Garrage etc.
Hope it stays that Way
Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
sorry to correct you but the flat mirrors are stock up to the end of 91,the 92 964s have the teardrop mirrors that before only the RS had
Lovely to see. I owned a stunning C2 for 13yrs and in the same colour Baltic Blue. Best in the world Chris? Maybe not, mine was mint and now in a collection in Sydney, and being a C2 is much better than a C4!!
Just increased 964 values by 10-12%. What a sick example.. heated seats? Never even knew that was a thing for a 964.
waiting for Chris to test vacuum cleaners next
Chris, loved you in autocar, thought you were great I; Evo, where you were grea5 even if you didn’t feel at home. Loved you on TG especially with fre£ and paddy. But it’s brill seeing you at the absolute height of your game here. You’re amongst a small group of muttering rotters ive followed as I grew up, as I think I have the same disease, just love cars. I loved th3 fact that you knew the originalit6 of the square mirrors, my dad looked at a 964 and I told him the same, that it clearly wasn’t original! followed and
Never thought I'd hear "Preston" in a Chris Harris video!
I’m not a huge Porsche guy… but damn, that is just beautiful.
Saw this car getting MOT'd last year at a garage near Wheelton ,Chorley last year . How do I remember? Well how many Baltic blue F reg 964's do you see with 928 wheels on 😄👌🏻
Blaupunk make some very nice modern blutooth/flac/dab sets that look retro as drop in upgrades.
My guy always sounds congested
Fabulous! I only hope that this does not get turned into a resto mod.
Nice to see a Porsche 964 that hasn't been butchered by the Americans or the Japanese
That was great! Thanks Chris. Exactly what was necessary
Not one for the British winter unless you like seeing iron oxide turn something immaculate into something needing a lot of welding.
Nice original car. But teardrop mirrors and Cup alloys look better.
Been looking for a 964 targa. Man thats a gorgeous machine.
A real classic. However, the 964s look a little different when they leave us and feel a little different when you drive them 😉
AP-solutely brilliant!
It doesn't look all that but I appreciate it for what it is
The 964 is my personal favourite generation of 911, and this beauty just reaffirms my choice. Baltic blue, tan interior, flag mirrors and gullideckel wheels, what a spec that is! The Jordanian king certainly had great taste. 😍👌🏻
design 90 wheels?
Chris Harris could drive my granny and I’d still click for his opinion without hesitating…😅 cheers from Arizona. 🍻
Ready to be rwbed
W A N T ! 🔥 ❤
What a wonderful thing. I love flag mirrors and D90s (although these aren't) as much as the next person, but only on 89-91 cars. 92-on can't help having aero mirrors and Cups because they came with them from the factory 🤷♀
Keep on keeping on !
Nice to see that Preston presented you with typical Lancashire weather. We don’t get a tan up here, we rust. We have nice scenery though (when we can see it). Try driving the Lune valley, up to Kirby Lonsdale - delightful!
Head-Unit connoisseur
Gorgeous
best colour, had baltic blue on my G50
beautiful!
This short video is just what I need to see. Chris Talking about optional extras like this beautiful Blaupunkt unit or extended leather or electric seats on the 964. It makes me feel better with myself as I know I'm not the only one who cares about things like that
What a car and colour. Reminds me of my uncles old 1978 911 sc in petrol blue that was on late brake show. Recently sold, will be missed
Baltic Blue
That's a thing of beauty
Still want a c2 more tho
Keep shilling the motors and ignore the whiners. I think plenty of your fanbase are so dedicated they'd watch you reviewing tin openers! I'm just grateful I don't have to skip an AG1, dollar shave club or Car Vertical ad on your videos.
And there we have it ladies and gentlemen - a Chris Harris video where he doesn’t even drive the car.
And yet, we’re still here.
Love the 964’s
Oh Chris you do make me laugh!
What a stunning car.
These look like 928 wheel to me...... I do love a 964 on D90s even if most don't.
That would be a dream car for me
Cleanest example in the world.... let's put it out in the rain to film! Love it😂
It's not going to melt.
😎😎😎👍👍👍
👌
♥️😁🇬🇧 trust your judgement implicitly. When it comes to porkers, I'm funny for the 928. We don't all have a racetrack for cars. I race twinshock classic motox. It would be easier to set fire to money whilst my friends threw buckets of unpleasantness at me. Keep up the good work. Always watchable. ♥️
Fabulous car, thanks for the video. Looking at the stills on the link: it is quite beyond belief (in a light, first-world-problem way) that someone, on any car never mind this beauty, would put plates on wonky and use a yellow bolt on the black letters..😮
The wheels are really rare on a 964. They are NOT the common D90s, but they are 928 design wheels only used sparingly very early in the production cycle.
Liked before watched.
I like the fact this is a very special model, I also have to add how I think damn boring a stock height/full original 964 looks (and sounds btw). Not even because of the Wheels/Flags combo.
The wheels look good on it.
singer shell perfect
Because of it ultra low, mileage and age , it’s going to desperately need the engine seals replaced and at some point have the area where the head and cylinder come together, machined to 92 spec or it will leak like mine did… seep, weep, sweat oil like mine did… some of it onto the manifold/ heat exchangers and stink like a pit.
While C4’s are great cars to drive in slippery conditions, they have an extra 200+ lbs over the front end and lack some of the terrific C2 steering feel.
Enjoy!
man said fuck you buy this car LOL
Nice car Chris. But does it come in Black?
Lovely looking and a proper drivers car but they love an oil leak..I know because I used to own one
If I got one (1) Quick Steer with Chris Harris®™ per week, I would be ecstatic.
For those that doubt the wheels, check out a video entitled '1989-1994 Porsche 911: Everything you need to know about the 964 generation | PCA Spotlight' at 13 mins 45 seconds. They were a very rarely optioned option on the 964. You learn some new every day hey 🙂 czcams.com/video/UmN6M46BbaU/video.htmlfeature=shared&t=823
thank you sir, saved me from having to search for the old porsche website link showing all the diff. wheels/model pairs.
Iconic.!:;)
20 years driving it 😊
The 964
Second Oilcooler does it work, does the gate open, does the vent work.
The pneumatic steering, tight mechanical pump working.
The LMM , no toleances.
Do we have electricity issues?
Do we have tight rubbers on the axles.
Wheel bearings.
Is the mechanical Zündverteiler supported by extra air.
Is the ventilation system still stable without noise.
Do we have tight Kurbellwellengehäuse and Nockenwellen Cases.
Did we cleane our gerbox, and did we check up our chasis.
When we ever upgraded the breakes, did we change the ABS too?
When we decided to run 320 HP on the 'rear axle', did we use "titan pleul' and a 996 GT3 crankshaft?
KW Inox or Uniball
It's a 964 unicorn (mint condition)
Still kicking myself for not buying one of these when they were $12k USD.
Bought my LHD 1992 C4 for 10k £ when they were just A Porsche with big ugly bumpers and leaky engines.Sorry Chris, but it came OEM with tear drop mirrors and Cup Wheels.First owner was some woman in Germany. Not very exciting I guess.
On this old rig, if you don’t use the revised diatributor cap that prevents “ozone” in the internal space , which then causes the drive belt that enslaves one distributor to turn the other in that assembly, you are guranteed a misfiring engine from the twin ignition distributions, and the possible gift of a hole burnt through the piston crown from a misfiring engine; next all 964 cars of early vintage leaked oil between the jug and the block, and that leaves a mess, and of course the smell of burning oil on one’s expensive rig. Then through the course of this repair work, if you pull out a cylinder stud and damage the block, you just now really screwed yourself. Porsche’s brilliant engineers thought that leaving out a sealing O ring between the mating surfaces would be better for heat conduction and dissipation from the jug to the block, but that engineer didn’t consider that it was going to cause a nasty oil leak. I believe 964s built post 1991 had a machines groove or recess in the mating surface to accommodate an O ring to resolve (their f-up, oops I mean…) the weeping oil problem. Next, the dual flywheel hat has a rubber like joining material to allow limited rotation gives up the ghost, and will blow apart after a certain amount of use, and again, the owner is gifted with rubber flywheel bits flung all about the inside of the gearbox bell housing, and as an added bonus, a nice juicy repair bill for an engine out repair. If that’s not bad enough, dipue to the age of the car and the fact that Porsche no longer makes sensors for the C4’s all wheel drivetrain, if one of these sensors gives up the ghost, and it will, you are screwed. The next bonus is that the vacuum lines use this rubber line that is clad in a woven cloth so it conceals the cracked rubber lines and then the car is plagues with all sorts of vacuum leaks that lead to all sort of false air being introduced to the intake that causes a myriad of awful runabilify problems. Oh, there are a number of inaccessible lines so his is another engine out service if this was not taken care of when the exploding rubber dual flywheel problem raised its ugly head. Don’t despair, this model of Porsche has more problems that will bleed your bank account dry that’s not discussed here. If you are not a mechanic, be prepared with a $25,000 dollar slush fund to feed the beast. Porsche ownership, wonderful ain’t it? 🤣😜
wow, what color is that exterior?
Nice but i think cup ones, tear drop mirrors and lowered to RS height makes these cars, oh and ABE Pole position seats .
I love the ORIGINAL ❤
a 964 C4 is a museum piece by now. When they're too low miles to drive, what's the point?
no, it's not a ferrari.
So I’ve just bought my first 911. A 996 Carrera 4 tiptronic. The auto is actually fine. It’s a 22 year old car so just a cruiser. But I need lumbar support! Why is it so hard to find that
Never buy a car in the rain 😂
I was wondering why he would leave such low mileage car out in the rain
neat
I’ve never seen an RHD 964 on an F-plate. Only an LHD many years ago when I was about 10.
If Monkey is Arfur Dayley who is Terry in the Collecting Cars team?
Is it original RHD as the wipers are LHD?
I wonder how much that will make.
I have a engine for those types of cars came out of one running.my neighbor he's old had One got it delivered here many years ago from Europe or you're a land area I think maybe Italy anyways I'm in Long Beach California 911 s.1974 turbo he had it here for maybe like 20 years sitting in the kitchen on a stand for sale
Chris trying to persuade me to buy a car I cannot afford.... 😂
😢
😭
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
How’s ‘Her indoors‘ doing Chris ?
It's a little surprising that a car ordered by the King of _Jordan_ would be fitted with heated seats. 🤔
Corr blimey 😅
A rebrand name change is needed to “Collecting Cars in the Rain”
