great idea, because these can be expensive. and most dont last very long because the dog chews on them. what a cute idea, to put the fleece around it. i like the idea of the snuffle snake as well.

3:11 I wonder if you can use paracord for the ring on this toy? It's so tough that you can use a much smaller gauge than regular rope which would make the toy lighter.
👉🏻❔Can paracord be used safely for dog toys? Are there any reasons why we shouldn't use it?
IDEA: bad idea I'm sure but here it is anyway... a giant snuffle slipper. Dogs chew on actual slippers/shoes, so if they are given a snuffle toy slipper to chew on, maybe they'll leave yours alone. 😁🥿🐶

Paracord can definitely be used safely for dog toys - we've seen some neat braided rope toys using paracord before - but if you used paracord here, it would no longer be a frisbee. The toy would be pretty floppy and difficult to throw far distances.

@@HoundHuggerDIY lol, OK, fair point! What is the commercial frisbee ring you're using made of? plastic? have you torn it open to look? lol
If the paracord is tightly wrapped in fleece then encased in final fabric ring, it would stiffen it up without adding too much weight [thinking out loud...]

I screwed up when reading a new crochet stitch and what was supposed to be a straight yellow section turned into a curved ring. lol Grrr...
But then, before pulling it out, I remembered this video and I tied fleece strips around the crochet ring mistake [2-stranded Worsted weight] as if I was using your frisbee directions.
It's light enough that it flung across the room quite nicely and hit the front door!
I felt better, like my time hadn't been wasted.
So, whether yer throwing it outside for your pet or for yourself against doors to alleviate frustration - using a thick crochet ring for a core might be an option for making this toy.
Any thoughts on whether this is a bad idea for some reason? (I mean pet-wise. lol)
