Escape the Dark Castle Collectors Box and the dilemma it has caused me

In this video we are going to take a look at Escape the Dark Castle with a closer look at the Collectors box. This has caused me to ask a question, what do I do with all the other boxes now.

I used to try to keep all the boxes, but it quickly became overwhelming. Ive got a bunch of kickstarters, a bunch of minis. I decided I'd rather have the extra space than the a theoretical ~25% extra markup for original packaging if I chose to sell later on. Now I make custom inserts or otherwise combine everything into the box with the best looking art, and my shelf can now hold an extra 1/3 of my bg collection.

That is a great point, most collectors can find a replacement box if they really want the original. It is the game components that really matter. I didn't see it that way.

I had the same issue, after placing everything in the big box, I looked over at the very cool looking expansion empty boxes… I put them as shelf art on top of and to the side the big box at angles. Also if I’m going to another house, I have just used the smaller base box and one expansion to carry and also have the table presence.
My big box cardboard insert was also loose from factory. I need to glue it up as you mentioned.
If ever there was a game that actually plays better with candle light and the soundtrack in the background.
My brother got Escape the Dark Sector, another game so much fun to play in a dim room with the soundtrack to the game playing quietly in the background…

I am with you on the candle light and some creepy soundtrack playing. Now just make it a cold stormy night and it would be perfect. It is a great game and so much fun to play.

I don't have the collector bug. I just want to read my books and play my games. And I live in a tiny appartment. That's why I don't hang on to extra boxes...

I can understand that. Would it change if you had the space?
