I'm 46 and switch back and forth between playing air drums to air guitar at several metal shows in the stands and in the pit, lol. I probably look like I'm having a fit vs how musicians actually look whilst performing on real instruments

I thought he was just impersonating Tom. It was pretty good. I saw Slayer 5 times with the original lineup before Dave left the first time. Only saw them twice after that and there was no match for Dave on drums.
This is why dave Lombardo is legend.The combination of punk/metal drumming and his unpredictable fills/rolls are great.Also everybody in this performance kills it.Have'nt heard these songs sound this good in a long time.

Lombardo really is the best metal drummer ever. His technique is just worlds above the average top level guy. Much like Bonham that's because his eclectic background of many different styles, along with his creativity. Much as I like Slayer's music I've never forgiven them for how they shit on Dave. Men with no loyalty to their friends are worthless men
Ive seen all of these guys with their respective bands several times since the mid 80s plus Gary with Slayer and Dave with Dead Cross and the Misfits. This ensemble here is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen 🔥🤘🔥🍻
I can tell this wasn't filmed in Europe - the pit is still moving after 40 seconds!! Even Portnoy respects the Godfather. It's not like him to not be more visible, or heard, when he's on a stage! Two of my favorites right there!! \m/

Fucking Lombardo was playing at album tempo, pretty impressive considering those songs are 35 years old. Lesser players usually have to slow down as they get older.
Nice to see Dave Lombardo drumming like a beast, Mark G. singing and the guitarist that followed up Jeff Hannemann (Gary Holt?) together (and a few other musicians). Looks like Slayer really live. I even find it more special now Slayer doesn't do shows anymore and then Dave back on the drums. I really enjoy this.
