- The typical and abnormal things I did while running the lights for this years musical: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat!
Sorry for the general bad quality, I was trying to film this whilst doing all of my regular duties thus making it hard to spend a lot of time making each shot perfect.

NO NEED TO SUE ME!
Filmed with the Canon Rebel T5, the Canon EOS60D and the GoPro HERO3
Edited using Adobe Premier Pro
Fun Fact: I filmed this over 4 separate shows!
I’m a lighting techie and i’m now in charge of my crew and yes relate to ALL of it, practically live in the school auditorium and my light booth
i also have a light board tho and it’s really difficult bc somebody came in the school and updated our board without our permission and it screwed it all up haha
SAME!!!
@@keniya4666 it is so annoying when that happens!!
I have the exact same jobs. I’m the tech crew manager and lighting technician
"that's enough social reaction, back to my cave" same
Hey high school Faith.
You're now a Production Manager on one of the biggest Christian Tours in the USA. You're living on a tour bus all around the continent and get to run sound lighting and video for a full show. Don't worry though, you're still an awkward dork that people somehow love, including an incredible crew and cast. Across the country you've gotten to meet tons of amazing fellow mermaids and see how your videos impact them. That lifeguarding job you got as Joseph was happening now includes a wonderful and supportive boyfriend. You get to make the tech things happen with more equipment and more responsibility. There are people that you get to train and collaborate with and some of the best you get to learn from. Summit gave you some education but more importantly some amazing friends that care for your best interests. The world is so much bigger than that small theater but your booth is smaller! So yeah, you're going to do more things like this is the future, you just have no idea how much you're capable of.
Love,
20 year old Faith
I am a lighting tech at my high school, and I can definitely say that I relate to everything in this video 😂
When you're not a techie and you understand nothing about lighting: *she's doing the work of God*
As a fellow lighting techie all of this is 100% relatable
So awesome seeing other females in the events and entertainment industry!!! Keep up the awesome work!
ok but the fact that this was posted almost 4 years ago and u still come and like comments, love it.
Omg it’s Joseph and his tech coat😂love it
This is great!! :D awesome job during the course of the shows Faith. I love watching these behind the scenes sorta things. do you think you'll make one again?
+Hey its Jude Maybe if I get to do more stuff that I can film!
As head lights at my high school I relate to SO MUCH of this... lmao. I thought I was the only one who did a lot of this.
in college this year for tech theatre in Ireland and i'm really enjoying the lighting operation and rigging classes so much right now. it's a pretty big dream of mine to be able to help run shows like these and this video is just really cool
I am a lighting designer and also worked on Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat!!!
we had a power surge one time, and all our lights just completely died, and who had to deal with it, me, the light dude
Loved this video! I'm about to start a technical theatre degree at university this September so it was really nice to see more of the kinds of things that happen backstage during a show. Also "that's enough social interaction, back to my cave" was so relatable 😂
Thanks for uploading, thinking of a career change and it super helpful to see what the job actually entails.
+Isaac Harris you're welcome! I'm no professional by any means but I'm glad that this was helpful 😊
I’m a sound techie so I feel hunty

If it’s a conventional LED , try using a crescent wrench on that the yoke of the light … next time .
Taking classes for lighting and acting got into lighting
IM DOING JOSEPH RIGHT NOW!
I’m a 6th grader thats a lighting tech for the 8th graders musical showcase, I have 0 experience so I’m watching videos like these. I get 1 hour of training then 1 week later is dress rehearsals then its the show :)
They are instruments. Light comes out of each instrument. The instrument itself is not light.

Please don't use the term "techie." It is a diminutive- it demeans the job you do and the profession in general.
