They do this on human ancestry test. My full siblings and me have different percentage of different groups and my one brother has a group that I don't have. It's because parents don't drop equal amount to each child, but one child can have more from one parent and less from another.

My biology professor stated that saliva isn't the best way to test any animal's DNA, because saliva also contains a lot of bacteria to start the process of breaking down food. And the bacteria can mess with DNA results because it is more to sort through to get only the DNA. The best place to get DNA results is the blood stream. As for the dilution of the wolf DNA, it should still be there in the family, even though the results of her relatives should a very low percentage, so it should be in your dog, even if it was only .5% in her DNA. I have heard of people getting less then 1% on where they had DNA from.

Can you make a video about *Hierran Wolfdog* ?
It's a wolfdog from Canary Islands, Spain. They look like Czechoslovakian Wolfdog and Saarloos Wolfdog. But unfortunately, there isn't that many pictures of them and the isn't much information about them on the internet.
It will be great if you can come to Canary Islands, Spain and meet the breeders, just like you said you want to come to USA to meet Blue Bay Shepherd breeders. :)

Hi, Anneka depends on who is doing the test, how the testing is also carried out in the laboratory, also if it's done
before a full moon or during a fool moon, or after a full moon, being serious it is all down to how much money you
are prepared to pay, by the way, there is vlog on CZcams of a wolf stalking a White Pit Bull along the river bank in
broad daylight, the Pit Bull is in the river aware of the wolf behind, as the Pit Bull decides to leave the river onto the
river bank the wolf makes its move on the Pit Bull, the Pit Bull reacts to the attack by the wolf by accepting the challenge
from the wolf to fight, guess what the wolf takes to its heels and runs away from the Pit Bull in pursuit of the wolf, the
wolf was a large North American timber wolf, I think the Timer Wolf realised a bit too late that this dog was up for a fight
and would win the fight, I think body posture played a big part in this engagement, watch it and let me know what you think
I think the wolf was overmatched by the Pit Bull, by the way, that is only my opinion after watching the vlog, also how is your
war wounds healing, also the best and most safe way for you to stop and separate them is use a small fire extinguisher
the kind that you can keep in the kitchen to put out a fire quickly, well here is another way without injury to you or the dogs.
All the best and take care, and keep on howling at the full moon.

I watched one last night and the result came up as 90% German shepherd when anybody with half a brain could clearly see the dog in question was 100% an Australian Kelpie / Blue Cattle cross, sometimes I think they just make these results up.

It's very common to cross Gwrman Shepherd with a malamute or siberuan husky and try to pass them off as a wolf dog hybrid. Many of the offspring will look more like a wolf to people than actual wolves. That was my first guess on the dog she has in this video.

The husky breeds, Samoyed, malamute, etc carry the wolf, but the wolf mixes differently in the breeding. All the DNA does. She may not have any wolf. Maybe the DNA didn't divide that way because it was such small amounts. Or because it is so we'll interested in the husky lines, it could have not separated off. That happens as well. Maybe she didn't get the same amount of wolf as some of her siblings. DNA divides differently.

I tested my two "full blood" (according to the people we got them from) Chihuahuas with embark. Bambi...my deerhead female chihuahua was only 50%....her father was a chihuahua....her mother was a poodle/pomeranian/mutt mix with no chihuahua (I believe it). Sparky....who we knew WAS NOT FULL BLOOD, despite what we were told, was more min pin than chihuahua (omg does he ACT like a min pin)....his father was a mixed chihuahua/chinese crested (saw the father...believe that too)....and his mother was a min pin/chihuahua/mutt mix. I think embark is pretty accurate for what it is. This type of science is not an exact.....
I used to have a Canadian Timber Wolf/Collie (lassie type)....but he passed away before these tests were available.

I came across this video out of confusion about results.
A litter mate, to my dogs was DNA tested because he is in training to become a service dog. His results:
    75% APBT / 13% Boxer / 12% American Bully.
I submitted my female, Sky's DNA. Her results: 86.3% American Bully / 13.7% Bull dog.
    Very, very, very different results.
Due to this, I have submitted my male, Bruce, litter mate to both of the others tested, to see what results are provided.
So, do I believe that the tests are accurate? Nope.

Raven my dog daughter is, according to Embark; 50% Siberian Husky, 30.1% Border Collie, 11.2% Australian Cattle Dog, 8.7% Collie. I agree with the results. Raven's very intelligent which I would equate to a 5 y/o child; she's stubborn but obedient when I put my foot down; very protective, territorial of our house & 1/2 acre yard; playful and loves fetch and training. No greater love, but I wouldn't tell my girlfriend that.

Going on my personal experience with Embark it seems to me that they lack something on the wolf side....my CSV came back 22% 'super mutt' and 15.5% grey wolf (plus GSD as expected) Surely if they are any good at what they do they would define 'super mutt' clearly and would have found Carpathian Wolf or European wolf. I wouldn't waste £150 again!!

yes, not so much inaccurate as just plain ol wrong..
in my case. my dog part whippet and part spaniel, he weighed about 35lbs, had the classic whippet look, as well as the same whippet/greyhound gait when he would go full blast, all legs off the ground like only a whippet. his dna test came back saying he was part lab, part rotweiler. the test gave his ideal weight at 60-70 lbs etc just wrong on all counts. I wrote them back and they offered to test again but by that time he had passed.
at the time I only knew for sure that his mom was a full blood whippet, later found out from the people that I rescued him from that his dad was a spaniel.

Dog is a dog and that is it, who cares what breed it is. Also quite pathetic that you let them lick you etc they lick all sorts of crap then lick you, you let them into your home, bed even. An animal should be outside not inside and licking you spreading all sorts of diseases. Can't even imagine this type of lifestyle, I would end up on a hospital bed in just a year from infections, astma and who knows what.
